I mostly play gw2 for WvWvW. With that being said, I absolutely agree with the complaints in this thread. Repair costs for PvP is the bi-polar opposite of “casual friendly” and pushes a large demographic away. Rewards are lackluster for a lvl 80 zone with lvl80 repair costs. Travel time is tedious and boring without mounts, temporary speed buffs, or at least a one-way portal from your home base to the bottom of its cliffs, just to get back on a main road. I love the basic premise, but all the little negatives are beginning to add up…Out of 26 friends that started playing Gw2 just for WvWvW, only 5 of us are still playing.

NyteFox – known bug, crackshot is still not reducing the cooldown on volley by 20%.
@Wakkajabba – without rings you’re losing 12% crit dmg right off the bat. If you’re not using rings at all, I’ll guess you’re not using exquisite rubies in your jewelry slots and that’s another 12% if you slot all 6 of them. That’s -24% crit damage just from lack of itemization.
Keep in mind that with builds of this type and similar gear, the base crit dmg is 150%, so stacking full berserker, exquisite rubies, crit dmg soup etc. brings it up to +250-260% crit damage.
I think there are enough performance issues to worry about, and I’m sure Anet made a conscious decision to limit extraneous information displayed in WvWvW. You can see the guild tag, that’s enough. I’d be happier if they didn’t show any tags at all until the player is within clear LoS. Tiny asura should be able to hide behind bushes/snowflakes without a red nametag saying “shoot here!”
JQ truly showed this week what type of server they are…
-Zerging and camping throughout the day, bringing 50+ ppl when 10 enemies take a supply camp
-Getting pushed back during prime-time, despite the 3 orb bonus and all structures upgradedand now, up by 260k prior to the reset the next day, players from your server exploiting/glitching to take Sharadan Hills on the JQ Borderland.
I’m quite certain that you guys probably have some honorable guilds and players, as most in this thread have been respectable. It is a shame that those in the game are trash.
I feel really sorry about that. I am going to take it up with some people on our server. I wasn’t there when it happened, but I was in the zone. As soon as it flipped I knew exactly why, then you guys got it right back I didn’t feel as bad.
Rest assured this will be talked about. Hopefully Anet will fix it on this server flip, but you never know.
Now this is representative of the true JQ’ers, respectful and honest, thank you. In the weeks leading up to this one, I never once saw kitten poor behavior like the Server of the Month kids have shown this week. Sitting down the road from spawn is not necessarily spawn-camping, but setting up trebs/ballistas down the road and hitting the stairs certainly is. Hopefully we’ll get some better sportsmanship and competition from all servers with the reset tonight. Good luck all.
Great post /salute. I’m confident this next match up will be better since all 3 sides will actually be playing.
[Warrior]18k HB on Chief. Possibly the highest raw HB that can be achieved. Can anyone go higher?

Not sure about this particular mob but “on my mark” is +10% dmg for 12s.
$60? 300hrs played. Yes, but there’s no way I would pay a sub unless they fixed the FoV.

The current view makes WvW very cumbersome as an Asura since it takes a minor miracle to look up at the walls during keep sieges.
I can’t see them stonewalling over a measly 15 degree difference. I think this points to the fact, as players have demonstrated, that the true FoV is 65 degrees. Increasing this to 90 degrees, almost a 28% improvement, makes a dramatic difference. I wish they would reconsider, as the game is truly awesome when it can be seen in all its glory.
Crackshot still not reducing rifle 3 by 20%, remains at 10s regardless of this trait.
Having tried 90-100 degrees via windowed mode, the difference is staggering. Even though this does nothing for vertical FoV, as it doesn’t increase. There’s simply no reason to play with the default FOV of 75/65, it’s game-breaking. The amount of bad player positioning in WvW and PvE is directly attributed to the default horse blinder tunnel vision. In 2012 there’s simply no excuse for what’s essentially a split screen console FoV. Like others have said, the game is simply unplayable at default, after playing with a real view. Even simple tasks like running around Lion’s Arch become significantly less annoying when you can actually see where you’re going. I’m very surprised anyone thought this was an acceptable default FoV for a AAA title.

Anet could fix the issue at any time, they’re essentially the Federal Reserve and set the exchange rate of gems>gold. If Anet set the rate to be more competitive, say 100-150gems = 1gold, then even with their existing -30-40% gem-to-gold conversion rate, they’d still be right in line with outside sellers. $10 would be about 5-7g, and very reasonable.
They really should have an autocomplete on exit, if the objectives are all done. NPC’s triggering completion is terribly buggy, in several story quests, and incredibly frustrating. There’s literally nothing you can do about it, and advancement is frozen.
