Drakkar overrun the matchup with their WvW population been 3x FoW+Arbor combined. It’s ok, you have the numbers and the desire to win by far, but why Drakkar Lake use so many golems to cap our towers and keeps? is that a fetiche from your commanders or you’re to rich for bronze league?

Attention to FoW + WSR + Vabbi, fellows, brothers in arms, veteran fighters, new (welcome) players in WvW (coming mostly for achievements), this tip is for you:
1– Considering the World vs. World Season 1 «Castles in the Air» (achievement for 20 points);
2– Considering the difficult to capture Stonemist Castle (SM) 5 times next week;
3– Considering the servers already schedule for next week matchup:
Fissure of Woe ………. Drakkar + Arborstone
Whiteside Ridge ……. Ring of Fire + Blacktide
Vabbi …………………………. Ruins of Surmia + Dzagonur
4– I strongly recommend you get this achievement done this week (just before next Friday reset), to be better than awaiting endless times in Eternal Battlegrounds map for a chance. That being said, when you check EB map and see SM in a different color from yours, travel to there and help your fellows to capture Stonemist Castle, even if you previews finished the achievement, your server teammates will appreciate all the help they can get;
5– Anyway, there are some other achievements that must be done this week to avoid sorrow later, a quick example:
«Complete the jumping puzzle in Obsidian Sanctum» (1 time = 5 achiev. points) which is the jumping puzzle at Eternal Battlegrounds. This is an huge place dominated most of the time by the strongher server in a matchup, where entire guilds camping all day long and it’s the thieves heaven ….. now think about the pain and sorrow to do this 1 time after next Friday reset.

To Arena net team:
Trying to play for my dailies and earn 1 achievement point for finish “Daily Activity Participation”, I arrive at Lions Arch and the NPC at main square still bugged since 12 hours ago, while it says today it’s “Southsun Survival”, in fact it throws every one to randomly PvP game. Also, it appears to envolve many servers, because I went (by guesting) to another server and the result was the same.
I understand Anet strongly wanted all players to be addicted to PvP (my guess, after bloodlust buffs at WvW), but serious, can you fix please so we don’t lose more daily achievements ^^

@ phirefox, it’s fine with us on FoW about your zergs, if you have such forces why not using your “tour zerg”?
As long you crushed in equal parts “red” + “blue” borderlands (Eternal will be green almost the time) for we would like to discuss the 2nd place with “Les uns et les autres” from Arbor. Wouldn’t be fair you been the respectable server from another galaxy going only after one of us, please be strong enough to get your fun but most of the time try to be fair in your choices for a competitive matchup for 2nd!

WvW, a Pulp Fiction story:

It ends here, but the angry mob still go on with the throwing stones in an endless thread …. until there were no more stones at cobalt streets anymore, then they realize there wasn’t either a target anymore, only Silence could be hear crying in the mists and then the drama finally stop to exists, exception to echo, which this post is part of it!»[/i]
Wonder today if people realize this Developer (aka GM, aka Anet employee, some rumors says it was Devon Carver, not sure but knowing Devon don’t post anything in last 10 days, but Carver could be in vacations, still the name doesn’t matter for this pulp fiction) deserve all that drama and the tons of stones he had to hang on after all the dedication he putted in the World x World upgrades including by playing in some NA servers (when you come to Europe? I’m sure language is no problem for 95% of us can express in English … well, trolls don’t, but same happens in America LOL). Yes, some proposal changes in WxW were terrible experiences and they should step back (shhhh I don’t dare to mention Bloodlust, it’s cursed) and not been too much proud to go ahead in face of the cliff (thought this only happens when in WvW people following blue hats, but it’s ok if you assume it is part of human nature), but on the other hand many others experiences were very welcome by the community and representing fresh air to the game play, this considering the game is a living MMO and developers are also humans like all of us, they are under pressure of results and trying to know what is the meaning of life)!
Wonder if the Developers (and Arena Net employees) know that less 10% of the players base come to official forum to read and maybe express themselves and the majority is a silence mob who enjoy a lot the Halloween + Winterdays events, for example and are to busy having fun to distinguishing the success and failures of devs, as long they are occupied with a great MMO game with a living story. So don’t be sad if sometimes a few people decides to throw on you some frustration (they represent less than 10% of players, where there is strong evidences the rest who don’t come here, or are happy with the game or are zombies), keep in mind this is a part of humans societies when those who comes out of the anonymous crowd are in the focus of lights, there will be always the easy i
Wonder if people realize how hard is their job, while we as players just wanted the perfect game when we arrive at Home to play after doing our duties in so many forms. Because, once the entire community have a face (Devon Carver, either he on vacations or was put aside) to throw it all the joys, opinions and complains but now no longer have the familiar face to claim advantages for any aspect of WvW peculiar game mode, just the commercial standards remains…. What of a waste of resources for ALL!
In resume, we need “familiar” face feeback from Arena net for our issues as the game needs Guild X Guild as part of World x World, where PvE + PvP are added to the equation to be the good trilogy of success of Guild Wars 2.
What about me? Well, I’m the naïf guy (aka MMO noob) who is waiting for Halloween event while doing dailies, read some stuff meanwhile and wish you all the best in a thousand moments covered with tons of fun … plus Good Games!

It seems WSR and Vabbi got transfered people since 1 week ago (rumors they say), the fact is that red & blue “ppt” raised and we can see fights everywhere to spice the matchup
Anyway, not sure if those numbers will remain for the incoming “Anet League” (wish you well and hope they stay), but what is matter for me is that FoW is on the road again to spread the fun going for the bronze league with or without bloodlust

Coming with the update, there are tier 7 brand new materials, which can be droped by “supervisors” from supply camps. I’m a confessed roaming ranger, normal i can solo 1 camp in a few minutes and let it go for any one else opponent roaming player can capture back, so no big deal in terms of “ppt” the fall of 2 or 3 camps per hour while can be easly retake.
To Drakkar people:
— now I concerning with your attitude of extremely zealous about the capturing of 1 camp in your borderlands, each time I’ve tried to capture 1 camp of yours, Drakkar come with 5+ players just to kill 1 and stop the capture (can’t in FoW borderland, because you guys have 40 zerg train there every minute since the update), that’s against Geneve convention and made me wonder why you don’t let the supply camp capture, since 5 minutes later you can capture back and get also materials for you….. so why you do this? have you sign treated with Anet for the sake of economy or Drakkar have such a tunnel vision that can’t share anything, even with small servers as us Fissure of Woe or Aborstone either?
Either way, hope you have fun whatever you do, just don’t be enslaved by your duties, cya in game
If you see suspicious of someone cheating, please address to Arena net screenshots with time, situation envolved and the place. You do your part and we (GW2 community hope Anet do their work. Remember, this is just a game for all having fun and not to be spoiled with cheaters everywhere.

Your Anvil fellows done pretty well for 3 or 4 months, but the more they climb the tiers, more guilds and single players were seduce by other worlds and the shattered point was when [ALS] guild departure to I guess Dragonband or Maguuma, while some fixed in Ehmry Bay after fought them by 12 weeks (matchups) in a row.

Anvil Rock fellows, do not lose your hope, there always time to build a strong WvW community, you already have the best PvP skilled players, besides every day recruits coming to experience WvW and you call them “pugs” at the beginning, but with patience you can explain to most of them how fun and exciting WvW can be at times.
I started a thread months ago about your World, but recently I was forced to write sad words about the end of Anvil Rock world as we know from old days matchups BP/AR/NSP or EB/BP/AR.

In the name of the ancient Brolis Rock alliance, I bring some suggestions to AR:
1… You should create a common Forum for all guilds can talk and discuss contents of the game, PvE, PvP, builds, dungeons and above all, World x World common strategy.
2… You don’t ask guild to release their own forums, or either have to invite one by one, just convince guild leaders how this common Forum will improve all your skills and knowledge about the game contents.
3… Promote moderators (few) from the major guilds, so most of them know they will be defending from the randomly trolls every forum have.
4… Now for WvW community it is CRUCIAL you get a voice channel to gather all common objectives, once again guilds don’t need to abandon their own Teamspeak, Mumble, Ventrilo, Skyp or whatever they feel confortable to communicate among them, you just start to ask in reset time or day (Friday), all commanders and guild leaders have to commit to be present in the Teamspeak (choose this, because it is what Borlis use with very success), time will make them stay more time beyond reset hours.
5… Very important: every guild must have their private “room” in this voice channel for they feel comfortable, but you will have 4 differented channel pointed to Green, Blue and Red borderland and Eternal Battle.

Since Friday reset day, every time I create a squad to be a commander on any map, simply my “blue hat” isn’t showed, besides the icon of been a commander also not visible among the other “buffs”. In resume, after created a squad to be a commander, while it says “You’re a commander” it becomes useless because my tag or the hat of commander can’t be seeing by me or everyone.
Already sent a ticket (June, day 8 ) without any reply from Arena.Net support team, with the reference number # 130608-000978 (please check the attached file).

Could be so easy:
Winner goes up, loser goes down system and middle server stays in the tier = this will guarantee each server plays 2 new servers every week except the top and bottom tiers.
But instead, for example in our tier 5, Arena.net forced AR+BP+EB in a threesome life:
By looking at new WvW score (Millenium courtesy) and after the drama effects from last Friday resets regarding to North America, until now it only benefits 5 servers:
Sea of Sorrows ……………………. (moved 2 tiers up, from previews tier)
Stormbluff Isle ……………………. (moved 2 tiers up, from previews tier)
Crystal Desert …………………….. (remains same tier, but other 2 servers went down 1 tier )
Northern Shiverpeaks ……… (moved 1 tier up, from previews tier)
Fergusson’s Crossing …………. (moved 1 tier up, from previews tier)
Common denominator involving those worlds: all are fighting servers coming from above tiers and their borderland is RED!
Regarding to tier 5, after 12 weeks in a row, my homeworld Borlis Pass matchup against Anvil Rock + Ehmry Bay (old tier 4).
Ebay population playing WvW is the double of any other servers in this tier (AR + BP). Add this to their experience in previews tier 4 and our threesome matchup end week after week in tie rounds. Finally, last week they earn the right to move up to tier 4, due to Anvil Rock sacrifice in fight less to let them go, both servers red and blue expected Stormbluff Island coming down a tier to refresh this stagnant tier 5.
Unfortunately, last Friday reset result to push back Ehmry Bay even when they start to smell tier 4 and ….. end up with a deception for all the 3 servers envolved! We think this is a forced marriage done by ArenaNet and most of the players can’t stand another matchup like this, a few are leaving GW2 while others return to PVE or doing large breaks from this game until find another with plenty of fun (this one is losing theirs)!
In resume, this week reset, can you ArenaNet give us hope and refresh tier 5? THAT WOULD BE AWESOME THANK YOU

Each server plays 2 new servers every week except the top and bottom tiers. Matchups could repeat every other week if matches always ended in the same result but this would be the worst case scenario. Still better than now I believe.Remove the rating system.
Use the score IN the game where everyone can see it and understand. The old system promoted stagnancy. The new system appears to promotes mismatches. Both are unnecessarily complex.Servers would naturally move tiers quickly
If a server has a large influx of guilds and improves rapidly it would move quickly up through the tiers until it found equilibrium. Obviously a weakened server would quickly find its new tier also.Why use the arcane and mystical system we have now when the simplest way seems to work perfectly??

I would like to request Arena Net developers, think the possibility to create a new mini-pet identical to TROPICAL BIRD.
If you could create 2 new mini-pets with this new patch “The Secret of Southsun”, why not including a bird that can be found in this same island?
Ok for now, some of us are thankful to Anet (not me) for this unique chance to play GW2 along with 2 human pets with the visual look of a Ken (mini-pet Faren) or a Barbie (mini-pet Kasmeer) doll …….. But come on, can you (Anet developers) imagine the impact inside the community, if those crates could also drop by RNG an awesome TROPICAL BIRD?

Good to see from Ebay respect Kalkz as he respect low level opponent close to him without taking advantage.
Means most Ehmry Bay players have valour and honor while in this Forum, everytime our fellow Kalkz post something …. there it goes the usual “hatred” stuff on him.
I myself meet many of them doing BL jumping puzzles and 90% wave or bow replying to my character and show some of the best episodes I experienced in this game, which when I give up to play GW2 will keep in my chest as excelsior souvenirs

I completely agree with the op (except the part about demoralizing the dominant server – I don’t want to demoralize anyone, I want full maps to play on). I’ve been saying the same thing for a long time.
It is how WvWvW is designed. However, as correctly pointed out, it goes against human psychology and hind brain.
I simply cannot understand people who say it is unfair. If one server is trouncing the other two, it is completely fair for the two weaker servers to gang up on the third.
Additionally, it makes for more fun. Because it means more actual fighting and less PvDoor. And it leads to more WvW participation because the players in the weaker servers feel like they may have a chance – if not of winning at least they can have some fun and not be completely destroyed when they step on the map.
The only logical argument against teaming up is that of avoiding going down a tier. And hopefully the new matchmaking system Anet said they are working on will make this argument null as well.
I appreciated your contribution, it worth the time I spent on such a long text.
I know for experience, it’s not fun been the focus of the other 2 servers, either in the winning side or the losing ones. Guilds and commanders should inspire players to avoid this situation unless for a short period of time (1 week maximum) as a mean to extend the joy to all worlds involved and turn the tier a litle bit more balanced.

Double teamed is the most common situation in WxWxW. Look at the 4 maps, they are all designed for this purpose. Learn how to get advantage from multiple situations that quickly happens all the time in all zones. You can solve the riddle or complain about it.
In resume, getting double teamed is going to happen all the time, because it was sort of designed in case if a server was dominating, the other 2 servers could “team up” for a short period to accomplish whatever goal they are trying to accomplish.
BIG EXAMPLE:
We have servers A (green), B (blue) and C (red) that found themselves in a tier. Server A is in a giant lead, Server B is in the middle just a bit above Server C.
In the best case scenario Server B and Server C would team up against Server A to take it down. Unfortunately since people want to win at all cost without consistent strategy, got “tunnel vision” and don’t see the big picture it and all ends up with Server B fighting against Server C and vice-versa for points and for survive from an eventually “tier down menace”.
On the other hand, Server A wants to target Server B because Server B has a chance to catch up and beat them, so Server A wants Server B to lose many points to keep comfortable distance and also because they put better fights to maintain them in a good shape (in case Server A eventually tier up).
In face of this, Server B starts to beat Server C so they can’t take 2nd place either. Now this trigger that Server C wants to beat Server B so they can reach the 2nd place.
Conclusion 1: Server B complains of been double teamed.
Conclusion 2: Server A control the tier at they own desire, they can decide which server comes in 2nd every week.
Conclusion 3: Server C eventually will become in 2nd place most weeks, as long Server A believes the real threat only comes from Server B.
To break this chain reaction, Server C and server B should realize that they are shooting themselves in the foot by letting Server A to be the unquestionable dominated server. Sometimes commanders of blue and red server don’t even dare to attack green borderland, afraid dominating green server could focus more into their own BL for retaliation.
Server B and server C should also realize that they need each other to defeat Server A, by putting aside strong rivalry and server pride for the time enough to demoralize for few weeks Server A – which would trigger another chain reaction on this tier: WxWxW population from Server A would decrease, because we all know “pug players” wanted easy wins (some called karma + WXP trains) or they spend more time in PVE content instead.
Only if this happens, server B and C would have new arguments to balance the tier. But then again, another double teamed situation happens and Server A is now the targeted by the other 2. Green server has now to fight back in defensive positions they are no used to be, or trying to stop blue and red server from this convenient alliance by all means (complain in official Forum how unfair it is, attack one server world only to make believe this new alliance only benefit one server, et cetera).

It’s all intend to be in Guild Wars 2 WxWxW , so get up stand up and fight for your server and try to share de FUN …. or share your opinion here please, I would like to read more points of views.

Meanwhile, Ehmry Bay potential points atm is ….. +105!!!
Could be from the the new update and Ebay pve players went to Southsun ….. or ……. several weeks storming BP x AR and taking advantage they fighting each other as well due to their long history rivalry from below tiers …. suddenly they shake hands for a whole week and the troll forums starting in panic LOL

Only a WvW player shoot rabbits, frogs, raccoons or sparkly flies, hoping that counts for daily variety kill achievement
Only a WvW player (real life) stops by a flag just to check if there is any hostile sentry near to flip
