Not sure what you are trying to prove/accomplish with arguing here?

Some of your players complain here that there is a simple reason why you are losing (UW doesn’t fight BT and vice-versa)

Now other guy explains something about coverage with data from the Moon. I’m out, have fun.

Okay, my bad for not pointing detailed instructions for young padawan. Pick your server name from first combobox (the window with dropdown list) and “Averaged by time of the day” from third. And we were doing fine in our BL (no queue obvoiusly, we don’t have that manpower) as UW had to move some ppl back to their BL and they couldn’t push past south towers

Don’t make me laugh it dosen’t say anything about coverage. So UW moved back some ppl from your border, as you said, somehow form our they didn’t, sounds like they didn’t take advantage of that “epic” battle in bay or just didn’t have that much manpower to capture your “full” border as you complain here.

We had 30 min queue at UW BL at one point. And no, BT isn’t winning by luck. BT is winning due to better morning coverage.

Anyway, I’m not going to deny that BT improved a lot since we last met and I wonder what would be the outcome if we met without UW obviously outmanning us both

Maybe you missed us taking UW garri yesterday then. Also, TaG, NaZ and FR spent entire evening pushing UW Bay (which was even mantioned on this thread). Aside from reset (which we spent on UW BL), my guild was sharing the WvW evenings even between UW and BT borders

Also, I’m not saying that going for RoF is bad tactics if you want to keep 2nd spot, more love given to UW would just make that matchup more interesting

Maybe one time you were lucky, we own some of their territory every day. As I play only in BT border I can say that you appear only with UW or when border is empty. That’s totally unfair relative to UW and maybe that’s why you have so many time to knock on their walls.

RoF practically dosen’t show without UW at all

Last time my guild was on BT BL (Tuesday evening) there was actually no UW there. They only showed up after we took your lake and hills and went for briar so first thing they did was to try to sandwich us. Besides, UW have so many people that they rarely have no presence at all on any map, so it might give you impression of that.

What I’d like to see it BT pushing UW more, instead of ignoring UW BL and EB most of the time and coming RoF BL instead

I can only see red color in UW border, check it more often. During this week I saw RoF only ones in BT border with decent numbers, that day we lost garrison to UW

Of course RoF is doing exactly the same as we and UW, this is not matter of being opportunistic. Anyone in BT border has hard time due to long-period presence of our main WvW guild here. RoF practically dosen’t show without UW at all, and they call UW on forum to do dirty work for them. That’s pretty funny to call someone an opportunist in this case.

Of course RoF wouldn’t think of it this way, they still believe that they are far better than BT even if score says something completely different. UW thinks that they can crash us as easy as pie, so I m sure they have no idea how many bodies of their ppl lay in BT border every day;)

Anyway UW is using bleeding tactic in this matchup. Yesterday although we didn’t take keep in eternal, we wiped at last 3-4 waves of 30+ cannon fodders from UW, the same situation took place in our garrison (BT), when they captured it due to 3-way battle in our border. After few jumps on them they just left captured garrison.

With current ranking system you can probably face:
Arborstone
Blacktide
Dzagonur
Ring of Fire
Whiteside Ridge
As you expect Ring of Fire and Dzagonur would be totally disaster, so as you can see ANet changed system even worst for you, because they think about GW2 globally, it will never change I’m sure of that. I m sure they respect your fighting spirit as well as Vizunah Square mastery.

There is a ranking system, and servers work hard for that, so there is simply no place for any exceptions.
You can:
1. Rebuild WvW community
2. Sit and wait for better times
3. Leave sunken ship

As being one of your opponents I can only say that we actually recognize your communication problems. In TS people often ask if you actually do communicate at all.
I remember standing at a broken StoneMist-wall and I could observe 2-3 man groups coming from your garrison and running in all directions but not to that open wall. Not even to speak of grouping and entering the wall as a team. You could have easily taken StoneMist because most of our players were busy defending other towers.
Something you’d know if you have scouts that report (also some sort of communication) what’s going on the map.

I could say the same about DZ. Why should we take SM if there is not enough ppl to defend it. Not so long time ago we took all WR border which was abandoned. Then huge DZ zerg came to our full upgraded border and wasted few hours with 0 points earned. Call it whatever you like.

I don’t get it guys, don’t cry on forum about WvW when you just Got back to game or heard something about BT. As WvW community we are far better than WR, they have better score only due to night rides and common fight with DZ. We wiped 2-3 times bigger main DZ zerg (which is constantly at our border) so many times that it is becoming ridiculous. In equal fight we never lose to WR/DZ. So anybody who dosen’t like blob fighting will be very satisfied here.

Any other language than english on chat is used for non important things. If you want to leave server just do or just ask for help where to go but don’t write something that is completely untruth and can reduce our population and morale because that is just unfair for server you represented.

NO. The main purpose in WvW is to take objectives (towers/keeps). Albeit, you have to kill your enemies and break down the door however I highly doubt a solo person dying to a thief vastly alter the outcome of a WvW match.

If you will kill same size enemy zerg in field only due to better skills all time they will probably lose all match.

Conclusions are simple. You will never be able to fight something that you can’t see.

Leave this perma stealth but reduce dmg to level of rest tank builds or just fix this stealth. I’m not educated game designer;) but it seems obviously to me.

There will be always 2 sides. Most of thieves (not all) will defend that broken mechanic because they take unfair advantage from that, it makes them feel like the best players in the whole world. Yishis (thief) says that npc camp/tower guards are better than many other pvp players, for example…
You won’t find any other character that can solo as many players as thief in short time (and this is huge difference).

They mostly even don’t know how to work in pvp any other class. They have learned few tricks which keep them alive with insane dmg.

The worst thing that ANet can do is to remain in silence.

Bunker build at last have a chance to avoid framing thieves, anybody else have no chance to survive.

This is your 38th reply in here . I think everyone already understood that you can’t with thiefs, if tou keep posting over and over people will think that’s an obsession. Maybe if u spent the time u are on this thread in game, you would probably be able do deal with thiefs by now. Who knows.

Good point. I had not thought of it that way. but the development of a trap for one ability of one class, seems like a lot of work.

I guess it was their way to call it done, without needing to do any real balancing.

Let them make anti-heavy dmg traps as well;)

Of course you have to pay for that. You still can’t buy those traps for real money (gems) but who knows what future will bring. You waste sources for that anyway just to beat some lonley thief if he ever will appear…

Thief can run as a glass cannon easily and farm without dying very fast (that is very unfair) , he has enough tools to survive any situation, Any other glass cannon is doomed. Look videos from Yishis he kills about 10 players in few minutes, in single hit he puts 2k-8k dmg, he runs through zerg like best bunker in game.

Sooner or later it must to be fixed. But time will vanish out many good players from game due to that huge unbalance.

All they need to do is adjust how stealth works, and the thief class will no longer be so OP. Make it so any attack the one in stealth throws out that is blocked or evaded immediately throws them out of stealth and gives them reveal. That’s pretty much all stealth needs to actually not be so OP. Because as of right now you can dodge an attack perfectly and all it does to the one in stealth is make him shrug and go for another attack while in stealth…which is what makes stealth OP. You make it so a failed attack gives reveal, and grats, you’ve nerfed stealth just the right amount and made all this QQing about thieves being OP most likely go away.

Yes, this is a good suggestion. Stealth attacks shouldn’t be “spam until it hits” like they are now.

That won’t take away bad pressure from attacked person, it is just not “big” enough. Maybe some builds can block first sudden atack or even more, but it must solve problem in general.

Put on some videos, that kind of screenshots can be made by everyone, especially in 2 vs 1 combat as your party mate is just behind you. Then you can spam L2P on forum without being ridiculous.

" Stealth is fine as it is, but spammable high damage attacking skills are not. Get rid of initiative system, put cd on weapon skills like every class has. You can even buff their base hp or whatever. Then spam that c’n’d with 25 sec cd or l2p"

This is the easiest way to “hotfix” most of problems in my opinion. Initiative sytem may stay like adrenaline in warrior build.

Sometimes when I read something like that I think we play different game. This is not a question of fun. This is matter of broken thief mechanic which force even best player to swing his skills like blind men in the dark. It all depends on luck to kill thief and at the end thief may decide to continue fight or just leave (by pushing end fight button:D) for easier target , you are telling that is normal situation… then something insane is going on here.

Thief has too much influence on any aspect of game due to broken stealth, this is disaster specially for WvW

I do agree that this can ruin game very soon. I don’t understand why any mmo must go through this stealth problem and at the end they always say yes we were wrong. Wy ANet can’t jump now to those conclusions of giants in market.

Many of us have some old school preference. We love any kind of rangers, warriors, guardians etc. even from cRPG games where they are always mighty and fearless. ANet is killing those golden memories silently and this is huge mistake.

But problem is that thief has decent dmg +insane survivability + kitten god skills in one build, this is what we talk about. He crashed many non thief players and almost die to 2 thieves at end (he was downed), he won only by luck because thoese thieves splited, whtat to talk about?

They weren’t new players, they were on my old guild who have been playing quite sometime in both WvW and pvp. 2 of them were tanky types.. not sure about the other 4 though.

You see there is not much you can do if a thief decides to break stealth and nearly kill a bunker build on their first hit, then get lucky with the next strike to kill.. if not, just stealth, rinse and repeat.. before anybody can act.

This should not be the case. Stealth should be given at minimum a 15s cooldown after a thief comes out of stealth

This is exactly the essence of problem + thief can always run away and start fight from the beginning, after 10 times even bot can kill you.

Of course you are right, those traps are crap, it may have some use but only for thieves to steal supplies as they can just walk through the crowd like ghosts.

Anyway this is somehow sign that designers know that problem, why they don’t want to fix it in normal way I have no idea.

They will never add anti-stealth skills that would be humiliation for them. Those anti-stealth traps says : sorry guys we screw it. If you want to kill thief easier you have to pay for that.

They can only work on that freak thief mechanic, let’s hope they will.

Only in Gw2 you can see thief glass cannon who is bullying everything that moves like kamikaze. I wouldn’t call it stealth, this is blindness buff, you can dance in front of anyone face.

For permanent stealth I would gave everything also, and forget about leopard for non stealth classes. Amen man

If you want to kill several players easily – choose thief, if you want to ride in the middle of zerg, and walk away like nothing happened – choose thief. Man you are out of your mind. This is not question of class specialization, this is matter of insane advantage for one class.

1 vs 1 can show proper balance in game, that’s what I meant, and Of course it is very important for some players. There are many unofficial fight clubs in gw2 already.
Look at this video, good thief can mess a lot not only in 1 vs1 or 1 vs x …, it is like god mode. We can’t pretend that we don’t see it:

Mostly commanders are good players, when they die by thief like that it can decrease morale of all group. That’s why probably commander left this mini zerg.

Most of squad members don’t know game enough to know this thief god mode, this is another reason to nerf it.

this commander and his whole zerg were terrible and absolutely not good players. maybe you fail to see this because you’re just a bad pvp’er aswell.

pvp shouldnt be balanced around the bottom 20% (pvp skills). and those are the ones crying for nerfs and complaining the whole time.

If you are so pro pvp player do that with any other class even against that amount of bots instead of real players, i m waiting for video, lol

look em up yourself. i don’t have to proove anything.

i eat thieves for breakfast with my necro. if i lose to one, he was better than me, that’s it. and yes, i 1vX vs groups. 90% of the wvwvw pvp’ers are just bad.

ofc you can try to improve or run to the forums and whine about anything. we can see your decision.

Show some videos about this dueling thieves in WvW, then we can talk seriously again.
