You can put some limits for unbalance MU sets to rise rotation there. That’s what happened in NA would kill any server stacked with overstacked one for months.

Gandara [8 EU] can fight back SFR [3 EU] but it is unpleasant for long distance

just be thankful you didnt suffer 2 months of crap match ups like what happened to Isle of Janthir when it was t3 last august/september.

Basically then, there were 4 servers with tier2 population/points and each week, one of these four will drop down to tier3 messing everyone else.

it was the beginning of IoJ Exodus 2, and we havent gotten back up again, ever since.

I feel sorry for Isle of Janthir community, another example how bad this system is. It should protect “unlucky” server from this kind of situation. Why it constantly keeps matching vs overstacked servers some unlucky ones is beyond my mind

It is Glicko Randomizer. You’re within the Glicko range for randomization, that is all there is to it. Besides you’re actually leading over SFR right now. And I’ve seen even wackier match-up’s on the EU side than that.

Servers 2-9 are within 100 glicko points of each others. and 2-14 is within 140 glicko points (which I believe is still within extreme glicko rng range for match-up’s).

Just be glad you’re not in NA, where you’re almost tier locked. Some servers fought against the same servers for months, and in some extreme cases for years.

Just strange that system matching Gandara with SFR for last many weeks, when there are many servers in [EU] higher ranked than Gandara and much closer to SFR in rank, so something is broken here for sure. Last 6 of 8 MUs was Gandara vs SFR + random national server – no place for randomisation here. Must be somthing more than glicko.

Well, i wanted to transfer to an European server, which one has the best prospects at the moment?

SFR, server is probably the best EU choice in fighting terms, lacking only numbers now!

The problem lies also in F2P start time. Free accounts may enter wvw only at =>60 lvl, so they can stack any server (except full) very much.

Desolation [EU] jumped from a bad losing in one match to winning with huge advantage in next match. Probably a big wave of free accounts enter the wvw. Anyway, calculation seems to not working properly.

I know if I were Anet, there is no way I would consider unlocking servers, when an expansion is about to release. All those people comming back to the game that are already on the locked servers are going to flood them. With that in mind, it would be irrational to me to let more players on them now.

Why? SFR is the only one international EU server locked in f2p model start time – that’s very unfair. Let’s hope ANet will force to buy HoT new free accounts, so it would reduce this mess done by locking only one gold server which is decent server to choose for new ppl btw.

The old server status calculations were NOT based on WvWvW activity. Surely Deso has a massive pve player base. We have been for a long time #1 pve and #1 spvp in server in EU, but since the introduction of mega servers, this has had no effect.

The only thing which should affect server status is how many active players in has in WvWvW, since that is the only game mode where the server has an effect.

Give me a break u were losing by 100k just few weeks ago and now u are winning by 100k something is really messed up here.

Arenanet developer who made the posts about the WvWvW population calculations said that some servers were well above the “full” limit. Since SFR has been the #1 band wagon server already for several years, it would sound logical that SFR indeed is more full than any other EU server. Despite the mass exodus from SFR to FSP and to other servers, it seems SFR still can muster really large numbers of players in normal

You are wrong – the only one EU server with full status was Desolation. SFR was never full until this strange changes. When suddenly fully marked Deso gained lower status.

This just really unfair to do such changes and starting f2p. You got all those free accounts. SFR worked hard to gain more offtime transfers in for so long time and now ANet wasted this hard job. I doubt they even thought about it

Locking almost all gold EU servers than unlocking all of them except SFR and making GW2 f2p => ANet u fail with your solution again. Deso from losing by 70k came to winning by 70k in few weeks. Devs come to see wvw numbers!

After CD another stupid nerf which will hit warrior very hard, I can understand variations of any skill depending on class. Warrior should have the best version of stability as melee class. This skill will become crap in WvW

Just change “tick score” system to “gain points” system – that’s all!
For claiming every object server gets points once.
Camp- 5
Tower -1 0
Keep – 25
SM – 35

Very BAD idea.

  • Defense become totally worthless, EotM-style play rules
  • two sides can make a win-win agreement to trade an objective between them to both get ahead of the third
  • If there is no such agreement: Match is irrelevant till last day – final outcome is who controls how much of the map at match-end.

If you want activity based scoring then conquest must not the only activity that count (e.g. look at https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Nerf-the-domination-of-Coverage/3895144)

If u can defend your objects, opponents will not score it!

Now 2 servers can also make agreements.

As usual, but only once, so server which does pvd (player vs door) will get only max 695 points for all night for example, not like now that one or two nights with pvd and match is over.
Feel free to modify this system in anyway.
Benefits?:
- no more blob style, which will be extremely not effective with gain point system,
- no more zombies blob all day long,
- overpopulated servers will split naturally, because insane coverage factor will be crushed and not one way to win.

BTW:
For WvW community health I suggest to separate pvp servers, u can change names of that servers, because in one mega server time, PvE players just killing WvW in lower tiers, they rise transfer costs, and don’t participle in WvW. Make transfer to lower tiers cheaper and you will gain balance pretty soon.

Thx to Blacktide FoW can cap something more than camps, of course FoW capping our objects everytime they can (usually deep at night) We even encounter this pvd group deep at night – called [RI] or so.

Why you QQ? WvW is all about numbers/coverage.

FoW and BT can’t attract as many ppl as higher tier servers, which means we kind of fail – stop blaming ANet for that.

Lots of warriors dual wield. Many do so quite effectively.
So no, it’s not weak.

Is GS favoured by the player base (and Dev’s)? Sure is. No argument there, but it’s not to the extreme that you are arguing.

I saw few, at higher level I saw none. That is the truth, dual wield is a big part of warrior/barbarian fun, but in GW2 it simply does not exist. Lets just make it clear to new in game. Axe off hand skill has +50% dmg buff in spvp- this is so significant.

You must be talking about WvW. There are fantastic dual wield specs in PVE and sPVP. Axe/mace is better dps than GS, but GS is valued in WvW because it combines mobility with dps very nicely. That’s just kind of the nature of GW2 though, there’s a lot of weapon diversity, which means meta builds get pretty specialized for what you’re trying to do. GW2 is not about playing the weaponset you want in every situation imo, it’s about picking weapons based on the situation. It’s kind of the price of having high weapon diversity that some weapons become situationally better.

You could still do Sw+sw/LB condi or hybrid spec and be very effective roaming though. I really love Sw+shield/Axe+Mace myself, but it’s not a meta spec, and it is more difficult to play.

Axe/Mace has better DPS then GS- man u must be out of your mind. Dual wield is simple weak, that’s why nobody use it.

If you mean from the point of “cost” as in PO, crafting materials, etc, they are not that important compared to the different skills you can have with dual wielding. Plus, it might be a little more (have not checked crafting), but it’s a very small difference. You have much more combination of weapons that 2 handed weapons. And dual wielding is as good as two weapons, just the skills change (so they can depend on the situation).
E.g. GS + Axe/Mace is very common in pve.

Check the legendary weapons crafting materials prices. 1 Gift of Exploration for 2 handed, 1 for 1 handed weapon – this is madness.

I play a lot in pvp, and I saw maybe few dual wielding warriors. Skills are different story,. GS has better DPS than any dual weapons set .Two handed hammer has better control in game than any dual weapons set. Play some pvp a tell me how many dual wielding warriors u saw.

I have simple question to devs – where is dual wielding in this game after 2 years of warror nerfs?. Basically you must spend 30 points to gain 10% speed bonus , you got also 5% to dmg bonus but at same time GS has 10% for example.

Two handed weapon (which is twice cheaper to craft) has 2 slots, same as dual wielding.
GW2 has the weirdest „dual wield” I have ever seen, I really dont get what is idea of this crap

Yes, amazing job is done already. But the most import is that we still have so many space! That means we have made it by skills not numbers.

Top spot in bronze league is a very good place, you can find here some decent opponents, nice farm, and enjoy game without lags and queues, still it is just one step to silver if it would’nt be enough.

To take this good spot we still need more ppl.

If its 10% less damage from someone who is 100% zerker I dont see the big deal. It will still be dps max.

But bunker builds will be at same -strong already – point so this is big nerf for zerk builds.

If someone can’t avoid kill shot it means he should L2P, warrior who hits that hard is a glass cannon who will fall on first shatter mesmer clone attack, which is basically unavoidable according to kill shot.

That is something I agree with completely. It has to be fair and affect everyone, not just ‘nightcappers’ because they work or live on the other side of the world. It has to be in place/able to work any time of day, not just ‘nighttime’

Need for sleep is something different then for example need for job, school etc.

Servers population in one time zone or nearest should be equal enough for fair matches.

Winning in fair fight is the most important thing in pvp like games, so it MUST be fixed.

Same can be said, but in reverse for DB. Our SEA force is our largest, and when they sleep (EU) all of our stuff goes, so our EU and NA coverage deserve special protection and attention. Sound good?

No bug fixes = more people will leave game, this is normal, I can’t see nothing strange in voices of ex GW2 players. I left also few games, I spent there few ours of my life so I always feel free to share my thoughts with rest about it.

No fee system keeps ANet in safe place, they did a great job for such money already, something more would be an exclusive bonus.

National servers are absolutely great idea. I see those matches Poland vs UK, Spanish vs Germany etc. absolutely brilliant.

German vs German (with the very rare highlight of German vs German vs German) was always much much better than anything else.

Could be, like Borussia D vs Bayern M.

U have to understand something:
a lot of servers have good community’s, and in this community’s U have EU, NA and OZ players who are integral part of them , so why after 1,5 year from game release U want to ban this players from playing with friends and to be a part of community’s what they help to build ? Just because they have different IP?

I think every one will be happy if from game release we will have a 3 ladders :
Primary – Global one – non IP restricted
Secondary – NA – restricted to players with north or south American IP
Secondary – EU for players with European IP ( then all national servers have more sense )

But now is to late for this … any restriction ( to access one or second ladder ) base on IP address could destroy many guilds, friendships and a lot of servers community’s will suffer …

PPL in EU change servers all the time. We need to stop transfers from/to other time zones where that kind of guilds/players can benefit night capping due to their prime time is on the night of host server.

I don’t think those guilds are more then 5% of any EU server population, so they can be remaped even now with no big problem.

Just watch World Recruitment page. Some Server EU write: WE DONT WANT EU PPL ANYMORE!!! We need Australian, NA, etc. to crush our opponent when they asleep

FR have their Canadians what about DE and other national communities who will join them?
-none!

1 other time zone player = 5 EU players. This is unacceptable!

We don’ t want to be treated like this in our homelands. ANet hear that voice.
