Why is the Charr much larger on character selection

Cats, and by extension Charr, are better at seeing moving than stationary victims targets objects. What you’re seeing is simply a cameraman who’s too scared to back away from your character.

True story.

Legion armor

Vigil Armor, for example, is available at an armorer in the Vigil’s Keep. You just have to be lvl80 to use it. I guess other armor sets can be found in the appropriate places.

Warning: Pet-peeve incoming.

I really hate that you have to be level 80 to buy the faction armour. So those level 30 NPC recruits over there get their fancy new helmets, but I don’t. Because I’m special?

Bah.

They really aught to just hand you a set of faction armour when you join. Or at the very least sell faction armour skin you can use to transmute your own gear.

(Also, the forum ate my post so you get the tl;dr version.)

Ok, that’s good to know, would u have an idea of how long the free transfers will be going for?

I think it was mentioned that it will be free for the “fist few weeks” after launch. I don’t have any better date than that though. And I can’t find where I read it, either.

I think the idea was to leave it free while server populations stabilize, so a few weeks sounds about right. But that’s just a guess.

Yes, there’s the “guest” system where you can temporarily play on a different server. I think the only restriction is that you can’t take part in WvW on behalf of the server you’re visiting.

Also, I believe the guest feature is not currently enabled. However, free world transfers (as noted) are.

Listing and selling fee on the trading post

It takes gold out of the game to prevent inflation, just as with any economy. It seems steep but really its to your benefit.

It takes gold out of the market just to take gold out of the market. If it was a case of “there’s 15% too much gold in the world” there would be more sensible ways to adjust that. It’s simply a simulation of “real life” monetary transaction fees, except that those fees actually serve a purpose (turning a profit for the broker) instead of just being shovelled into a black hole.

(On an entirely unrelated note, it’d be fun if that sales tax was actually being accumulated somewhere for some nefarious purpose)

Guild Influence

So, I’m wondering if anyone knows how guild influence is actually calculated? Because it seems rather… erratic right now. Is there a secret logic to it that I just don’t get? Is it not working correctly, or is it just, like, a Math.Random function?

So. The other night our guild, which has been saving up for a guild stash, is sitting at an agonizing 999 influence. The following morning, according to the history log, we’ve received 70 influence for member logins over night. This puts our grand total at 1007 influence (because, you know, 999 + 70 = 1007). Great, we queue up the guild stash and are now sitting at 7 influence. So far so good. Later that morning, we receive 4 influence from various events, so now we’re at 21 influence. 7 + 4 = 21.

Maybe I just don’t get the whole ‘addition’ thing.

Deposite Collectables into Guild Bank/Vault

If you could interact with items in your bank more closely, as you’ve suggested. There’d be no point in the bank, May as well just make bags twice the size as standard.

You already have the bank tab right there in your crafting window, so it’s not like the close interaction with items in your bank doesn’t already exist, yet apparently it hasn’t invalidated the bank..

In fact, the bank and character inventory don’t even remotely serve the same purpose, so I fail to see the problem.

The suggestion is a good one. +1 from me.
