WvW: Updated confusion and retaliation effects to do the same damage as they do in sPvP

They’ve gone and done destroyed Confusion in WvW. Not just winged it a bit, but completely blew it away. Thanks A-net for having to now narrow our mindset in buildcrafting.

Osi, your builds are going to be that much more popular now.

If i had the gold, i’d totally donate to you for a tag. This also illustrates the problem with the Commander tag completely and Anet needs to relook at that. Regardless, you see the problem and are willing to work to change the status quo. I don’t see that in others.

A guildie (thief) and I (mesmer) had a bit of fun in DRBL. Not anything completely noteworthy but we were outnumbered 2v5 yet were able to take a camp and cause a little trouble near the north camp where we eventually were wiped. I had bowed before they threw themselves at us but I was stood upon before waypointing back; not very nice.

I was the up level asura guardian running around and screaming.
Had to switch my build to deal with all that confusion. And yeah you guys were a lot of fun to fight. I also asked my 2 guildies to leave you guys and let the thief res you .
But I think our necro didn’t hear it/or ignored me:D I did bow to you after we got you spiked, so I think it counts:) Either way nice fight and a good practice for us to deal with confusion and clones.

Well tonight showed me why DH is still in T6, despite having the numbers of a T5+ server. They traded their entire completely upgraded borderlands for holding stonemist in EB when they had more than triple the numbers in EB alone as DR had in all of WvW. You guys spend 3 weeks spewing kitten about superior tactics and skill and the first night I get bored enough to take 6 people to pvdoor you guys sacrifice your entire borderlands for Stonemist. Managed to hold all of DHBL for over 2 hours, until everyone logged due to sleep, with <10 people.

You call us out on being bad for not being coordinated and not allocating numbers to the proper maps… meanwhile you zerg around EB trying to hold 1 castle and give up 140 points in your borderlands, all of which was fully upgraded, so hopefully whoever financed that gold sink isn’t too upset.

Even as a member of Darkhaven, I fail to understand the fascination our commanders with Stonemist Castle. Apparently its the most important 35pts out there.

Had there been a subscription model, I wouldn’t have purchased it to begin with. Had I been gifted an account with six months of free play (for example), I would have had the account frozen and not paid anything in the end.

What is the range of this pull? I was told it was 600 yet I was pulled from around 900 and promptly destroyed as I wasn’t expecting it. If its 1200 then … darn.

Hey!! We’re not getting completely destroyed!! But we still want to win. We’re needing help in other facets of the game cause of our smallness like Guild Missions and the like. Come to HoTR where the hot chocolate is lukewarm and the company is typically jovial.

Going back to Colin’s statement, he only talks about the characters that exist. Does this graph look at all the characters that are level 80? or ones frequently used?

They seem to be able to track a lot of things in this game. You’d think that looking at more than what people are creating would give them a better idea of class balance.

This. Lots of gathering nodes and different wildlife to kill. The events happen all around you. If you can’t get your dailies here, you’re doing it wrong.

Only a Mesmer can be heard crying to their group, “Hey guys, wait for me!”

All that is said in most transcripts is that Portal is “giving them problems”. I’m very interested in hearing what those problems are and why they believe giving this class-specific ability to the others fixes them. Wish they would’ve gone into that with a little more detail.

I’m farming the Caudecus’ Manor dungeon set that matches the Rabid line.

I run a 20/20/0/0/30 shatter with Greatsword and Staff (replaced once in a while by Sword/Pistol). Add some Undead runes to that mess and you have lots o’ Condition damage for Confusion.

Heroes of Tyria’s Return is a guild that has been around since 2006. Our base membership consists of many friends from the original Guild Wars game. We’ve all helped each other get as high as we could in the Hall of Monuments with many of us reaching 50/50. Today [HoTR] is a guild that is simply focusing on playing Guild Wars 2 and having a good time doing it.

Every week on Friday, we help the Darkhaven server in the WvWvW match-up for that week. Overall we help each other and give our knowledge of the game freely to further enhance the gaming experience. Knowledge is a relative term, we use Wiki a lot.

The requirements to join our guild aren’t too complicated. You must be able to handle massive amounts of sarcasm. This generally doesn’t hit our new members too hard as one of our leaders is from Iowa so he gets the most of it (unless they are from Iowa as well). We don’t have quotas or need to have a character of any level or any of that stuff. We’re all adults who have jobs and families of our own who play to have fun.

We do have a Ventrillo server available and we recommend our members to use it. If we don’t use it, then the guy who pays the bills will drop it which ruins it for everyone.

Human Mesmer, 80, no speed boosts.

I cannot count the number of attempts but it was to the point where I feel I could have done the first half of it blind folded. A youtube video helped a bit for the later parts and success was eventually achieved.

Issue: Meta event not allowing gates to open to allow access. You see it trying to advance but it hops right back regardless of outcome.

The Asura Master Tailor in Lion’s Arch constantly says, “My ears, how are you?” or something along those lines. It makes me believe that it’s what she says when someone goes to purchase materials/recipies/etc. I’ve wanted to cut those ears off. I’m one who likes the dialogs overall but only as I’m passing by not static.

Edit: this asura is getting all the hate in this thread.

Mesmers: the only class to mess with the minds of your allies as much as your enemies. It is impossible to run an alt with this profession as your main. Love it!!

I’ve had to resort to telling my allies when I’m downed as they’ve gone to rez my clones when I’m still alive. Several times, I’ve had to tell them which one I am. Seeing that color matters, I’m definitely going to relay that.
