This is discouraging, Sohee. I have not received a reply to my ticket myself but I’m afraid we all are going to get the same reply. I’ve only contacted Support once before and I also got a “We’re sorry we can’t fix your problem” message and that makes me wonder why are they there then?
Also it seems it is not a new problem, I found this thread from June:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Mailbox-Bug-resulting-in-loss-of-items
And this person seems to have had the same bug. Of course this time it has affected to much more people, so maybe they will put more effort to solve it but I have my doubts.
Really disappointing. Compared to other people I have been lucky not to have lost much (all the items are more or less easy to find in game) but it kitten es me off that my husband had waited so long to send me the dyes and decided to do it just the day of the bug.
Or maybe we shouldn’t rely on mail anymore for out partners to send us gifts – seems we female gamers will have to continue asking them real-life roses and jewelry instead of in-game ones, even if we prefer the virtual ones…. (trying to be cheerful even if I’m not in the mood…)
I reported it to the support team and they told me they were working on it. I hope it is true and they can solve it sooner or later ;_;. This patch seems to have quite a bunch of bugs.
The problem is this time we got one mail per character, which means 5 new mails in a row if you log in all of them to join all the gold in the wallet (or to arrange the inventory as I did). You can of course have your mailbox completely empty but if you have 3 slots to prevent this kind of things, it is not enough. Hope they fix it, I also was emotionally attached to the 4 dyes my husband sent me and I had not time to retrieve because, silly me, I checked 4 of my character’s inventories first.
I did, and they didn’t come back. The problem is these messages were ALREADY received, I just didn’t fetch the dyes because I didn’t have space in the inventory. Then the ANET messages ate them (I don’t understand why newer messages are deleted instead of older ones) and never retrieved. Right now my messages are 7/10 but my dyes didn’t come back ;_;
Same here. I had 7 messages in my mail account. My husband decided to send me 4 dyes (two of them rares) and I decided I would take them from my mail after arranged the inventory. 8 messages. So I switched between 4 characters to share items between them before fetching the dyes. When I returned to my main to fetch the dyes I found 4 stupid useless kitten messages saying “Enjoy your new wallet!!!” and my dyes had dissapeared because, well, that made 12 messages. Now why on earth did you need to send ONE message per character instead of a general one for the wallet new??? I want my dyes back!!!!! Please fix it!!!
Having the same problem here. Three European players playing from the very beggining in the US server Tarnished Coast. We’ve been sharing stories from the beginning but since we came back from holidays we seem unable to share our personal stories anymore. Also from time to time our characters are “lost” in the map even if we’re in the group. First story we had the problem was “Orders from Tyria”, now we have the same problem im “Mortus Virge”. Characters were not only in the same map but also in the same spot, waiting for the leader to take a step and get inside the story. Please fix the bug! We opened these accounts to play together and this is spoiling the fun a lot!
I also want it!! Please add it to SoundCloud soon! I’ve already downloaded the other three, but I want the epic Character Screen version
I’ve played today my Priory Assailed personal story quest, and I was a bit confused when I got the message “Join Trahearne at the Durmand Priory”, but the green dot in the map appeared in the north of the map, close to the Thunderhorn’s waypoint. I went there, wondering if the quest would start there, and as soon as I entered the instance I found myself at the base of the Durmand Priory’s entrance. And when the story finished, I got kicked out to Thunderhorn again. I’ve searched the forums but nobody seems to have reported this bug, so I suppose I had to report it here.
Didn’t get the problem again so I guess it was solved in a lattest patch or something. Doing the happy dance – my survival rate has increased!
Yeah, that’s the one I’m having trouble with. Well, I had. I’ve taken a rest because I was getting too frustrated. Maybe tomorrow. I’m a stubborn lady.
Thanks, penatbater!
So there’s not actually a trick, like taking impulse or something? While I was painfully climbing again and again on that long jump in Breached Wall I was seeing people doing it easily just running to the edge and jumping. Of course if I do that my kitten keyboard won’t react properly and I will simply not jump XD. And if I take my time to find that xxxxxxxxxxxxxx[a] you so awesomely describe those kitten ascalonian ghosts get my *ss -sigh-. Well maybe next time I’ll do it better since I “think” I already got the jumping point.
I just hoped there was a miracle combination of keys which would allow me jump those missing inches more easily. I guess I’m just clumsier than the other players.
And I do love Vistas. I may be a weird case, but I find them terribly relaxing and rewarding, after figuring out how to climb to a hard place, especially if they have a beautiful piece of soundtrack in the background (Dawn in Shaemor has become a favourite XD). I do prefer the ones which involve no fighting, but then, I’m not the fighter type…. I enjoy exploring the world avoiding unnecessary combat with my thief XD

I see this is old but I join the rant here. I’m trying to do the Breached Wall Vista puzzle and while most of it is quite easy there’s a long jump which has taken me more than ten attempts (not counting EACH attempt meant having to kill at least two ascalonian ghosts). When I finally achieved that jump my hand was shaking so much in the next two jumps I fell down and now I have to start it over again. I don’t mind easy jumping puzzles required to finish a map (Dredgehaunt ones were interesting and doable to my clumsy hand) but this can be very frustrating!
PS Anyone can give me advice about how to make long jumps? I’ve been completely unable to finish Troll’s End because of that!
Does Shift+R solve this problem? I have the same problem, mostly during combat scenes, and I haven’t found yet a way to come back to “normal” movement, except changing map or going back to the “character selection” screen and then back to the game again. Since it happens in dangerous moments, I don’t have much time to try keyboard combinations.
Found this reported in the “Bugs” forum, but nobody gives a solution either
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Slow-motion-walk-animations/first#post1765853
Same here. Not related to “walking” mode assigned keys (I’ve made sure I have none assigned just in case) and of course it is not as being crippled: it is just slow walking like the one people uses when escorting caravans. It happens to me during combat all the times (at least once a day, and it’s starting to kitten me off a lot), and the only way to stop it is changing map (not always possible when you have a bunch of jotums after your *ss) or going out to the character selection screen and then back to the game.
Are you mac users or PC users? I’m a macuser and I thought it was a mac problem, but until now nobody seems to find a solution.
