I was recently in Fireheart Rise, too. It was probably the least active zone I’d been in so far. Not that it was empty, I seen quite a few people just no where near the “zergfest” that the lower level areas were. Also I didn’t like the area very much; it reminded me of Ascalon from GW1 after pre-searing, with everything burnt and broken and it’s a bit depressing. I found that the more southern high-level areas (Mount Maelstrom and surrounding areas) are better populated.
Also I would guess a large percentage of players are more casual gamers and probably aren’t up to such a high level yet.
I’d like to hear from anybody with experience of doing this story mission. I have had a very tough time trying to complete it as a warrior.
It starts off fairly difficult, having to defeat groups of 2-3 acaslon ghosts. It’s manageable just about. However the final boss is brutal. It’s impossible to dodge all of his attacks and he hits very hard. How did others manage to defeat him?
I levelled up fairly slowly because rather than go from zone 1-17, 15-25, 25-35, and so on, I went and completed zones which were way below my level, just because I liked the zone. For example at level 50 I went to the Norn starter areas and done a couple zones there, before going to the Asura area. I can see how if you progressed through the zones that were slightly higher than your current level, you would level up fairly quickly.
What’s with the price of gems? Currently it costs £8.50 for 800 gems, however I can buy the same amount for 2 gold and 10 silver. This means that to buy those exotic swords that are selling on the trade post for 25gold ([insert name] of rage), it would cost approximately £100 of real world money.
Do you think this is how it’ll stay? If so then I can’t see Anet making much money at all
I don’t really get it tbh. I bought loads of stacks of copper, refined it in to ingots, crafted a load of useless components, then rinsed and repeated once I was high enough to do it for iron. Now my armoursmith level is 101 and I have no idea what to do next. I am still only able to craft iron & bronze components, and some insignia, however the level goes up very very slow, meaning I’d have to spend loads of gold on materials just to go up a few levels.
Obviously I’m doing something wrong, but I have no idea what?
I pity those who rushed through to level 80. GW2 is about level 1-80, not just 80.
Sometimes when jumping around, the sound being played is the same sound as when you fall from a great height. It’s incredibly annoying to hear a loud prolonged “ARGHHH” when jumping, and after a couple dozen hours of playing Char I’m about ready to throw something!

People have been allowed to behave inappropriately online for too long. I’m sick and tired of browsing the internet and playing games and constantly having to read profanity and unnecessary swearing. It’s about time bad behaviour was clamped down on and these immature people realise it’s not acceptable to behave like this in a public environment.
