mace/shield + hammer

problem solved.

lol wut

decoy, blink, distortion, invis (now longer than ever), blurred frenzy, etc.

You’re not going to beat an equally skills mesmer in a 1v1 with melee.

+ Blind on Shatter vs the most telegraphed skills in this game, not even gonna compete vs someone running a cookiecutter Mesmer for their first time.

Treat roaming Mesmer encounters like you would PU prepatch .. run away

Agreed, Thick Skin is a garbage trait, vanishes after the first hit.
Maybe they got it the other way round, it’s supposed to add Toughness when below 90%?
(would much rather it be gone and replaced with something else)

Rifle feels lacking, was already niche before and and certainly much less fun now.
lordhelmos’ Steady Aim concept looks like a terrific rework; if we aren’t supposed to be mobile with Rifle might as well have a trait to synergize with that: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/Rifle-Fix-Steady-Aim/first#post5189601

give us "sight beyond sight" trait

“Immune to blindness.”

make it a major master or minor grandmaster trait perhaps.

discuss !!!

It already exists.

Fittingly, as a Ritualist skill, Sight-Beyond-Sight has been handed down to the descendant of the Ritualist, the Engineer.

Rifle Fix: Steady Aim

Your Steady Aim concept sounds like a pretty cool mechanic – Thieves will probably get something like it as their specialty, lol!

but I find when equipping a rifle (on War or Engi) that I need to remain quite mobile. I guess that’s the whole point of Steady Aim, the risk/payoff.

If piercing was made baseline I will probably still use rifle after Tuesday – that way I wouldn’t bother with CrackShot (which would then only have the -20% CD, and maybe a 10% ias like Lead the Wind).

@josh: Why 'Fast Hands' is not baseline?

I do hope FastHands becomes baseline, and that Warrior’s Sprint take its place as minor-master trait in the Discipline tree.

That way, I can at least keep up some semblance of maneuverability when equipped with a rifle.
And after all, Engineers get to keep their perma (+33%) swiftness.

So sad that from Tuesday my rifle will only be viable in a group setting, at little above walking speed ..

currently, Physical Training gives +100% damage —> nerfed to +30% at best with Peak Performance, depending on adrenaline.

Sure it’ll benefit Rampage and Mending (lol) and whatever else they term as physical, but everything else gets a kick in the nads.
A prime example would be Bulls->Evis, very sweet with Physical Training in its current incarnation.

My main gripe with it though, is that Peak Performance will be incompatible with Death From Above, and I use both to scoot around the Borderlands (with a rifle, so boned from each end).

Making a Better Defense Trait Line

(2) The Black Hole
Cleansing Ire

Cleansing Ire Gain adrenaline when hit. Remove a condition for every bar of adrenaline spent when you hit with a burst skill.

On June 25, 2013 two years ago, Warrior got reborn thanks to this trait, Every warrior took refuge in this trait after being for so long in the bottom of the barrel.

But still this trait is hurting Warrior’s build diversity so much only surpassed by Fast Hands.

Also its a Major trait, No one will pick the 2 other traits no matter what.

  • A Must have trait, Forcing the defense line upon warriors.
  • Its a Major Master trait, rendering the two neighboring traits useless.

So what we can do to improve things ?

well we can do one of the followings :

  • (1) Make Cleansing Ire Baseline.
  • (2) Move Cleansing Ire to Discipline trait line as a minor.
  • (3) Make Embrace the Pain Baseline. (Gain adrenaline when hit)
  • (4) Make Cleansing Ire a Minor in Defense trait line.

(1) crazy right ?
(2) Diversity ultimate solution ? keeping all the black hole traits in 1 line.
(3) with the coming changes to Mending and Brawler’s recovery we might just need the (Gain adrenaline when hit) aspect of CI as baseline, but still CI will get picked.
(4) if everything up there failed, then please at least make Cleansing Ire a Minor trait with this we can actually choose a trait in Master tier.

I will assume Anet took the worst case scenario which is (4) make CI a Minor trait.

These are fantastic ideas and I hope someone from Anet is paying attention here.

I like all of the above, though I do not think that “(2) Move Cleansing Ire to Discipline trait line as a minor” is necessary, as Discipline already has Brawler’s Recovery, and lumping all the must-haves into one line will hurt build diversity.

PS I nominate Juba for Forum Specialist: Warrior

Woah, listen to all of you, misery sure loves company ..

Well I for one am happy that I don’t even qualify.
Yep, you heard me right, I am not even an Alt.

You see, the Kboard Khan’s dominions are in NA, but he created an outpost out here in Piken Square.
I know what happens to Alts over the pond .. they get to rot in SharkMaw, forever stunted in their 20’s, like crated veal – never to see daylight or breathe fresh air (Scarlet changed that briefly, but I wouldn’t call LA at that time a picnic).
And our first “One True Main”, lol that snarky Thief! Put out to pasture as a farmer, lmao!!! Hidden Killer my kitten.

At least the boss checks in on me once a day, if only for a few seconds.

But he placed a gag order on me, that’s right, I am “Invisible” to others. You what?, I say, this is DR in Piken, the hub of the known universe?!! “No Time”, he sez.

Just collect the shinies, he sez. The bright point in my existence is finding any Laurels, then I get to port to the middle, trade them for mats and dump them in the bank. Swap n dump, o joy.

Ookay, that I can do .. but I am capable of so much more. Home instance collecting? Nope, not in this demesne.
How about popping chests? Queensdale’s full of them! Naw, the Khan (lazy sod) prefers Sharkmaw .. er, maybe not then, glad I’m just lvl2 for once!

Hey, I could even (shudders) .. keyrun .. at least there’d be some kind of point to my existence, and I get to stretch my legs once in a while. Even though it will mean death then reanimation over & over, hey, that would be the very definition of a Revenant! What about it boss?

The Khan just looks at me funny and snickers.

Oh .. an epiphany.

So that’s my purpose in life .. a human sacrifice, Permadeath! I will never advance beyond level 2, and when my time comes, I will never see Piken again.

Destined to be murdered then recreated, in name and visage .. as a True Revenant! Mwahahah Hahaha!!
