I’ve given you my opinion on it, and it obviously would destroy the Mesmer. They rely on their clones. If you can instantly target him without fail, then you could destroy them easily. Why implement something that would break the games mechanics?

Nothing I’ve suggested would change or defeat that class at all Target Last Enemy is already in the game and it allows you to re-aquire the mesmer the minute he makes a clone or re-invis’s from stealth so your arguement is invalid as you can already do what your saying would defeat that class. YEs you can already do what you said would offset balance for that class. You should probably learn how targeting works before you comment on it.

What i suggested was that when your being attacked for the first time and you have NO target you auto target the player attacking you. To make up for the problem with targeting in large group pvp and glitches in targeting nearest player and los and obstruction.

I went online just to see that there was a target last target. That would only work if you remove auto-target, so essentially if you want what you say you want, that’s probably your best bet then.

Try reading what I wrote because clearly you don’t understand how targeting even currently works nor what I’m stating when I say auto target ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE NO TARGET! IT DOES NOTHING WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A TARGET. My god how can you even tell someone to L2P when it becomes so clearly apparent you don’t even know how the game works and are nothing without these broken mechanics.

It would outbalance the game. And it’s 3:00 here, all it was, was a simple mistake. If you target the correct Mesmer, and he stealths, you would have to wait until he unstealths to click the target-last-target bind. That’s a good amount of time you could be spending on using skills if there are others. If you could by pass all the pets/clones while already having a target then that would be a game breaking mechanic. The fact that you have to have no target to use the feature already implemented is already a draw back to it. The game is fine as it is, target is fine. Finding the real Mesmer displays skill, using a one click Mesmer magnet doesn’t.

There is going to be a huge blog post in the coming days explaining future plans for spvp. Emoqt, Arenanet is known for giving out extremely great pvp content and we are not forgotten. They only want to ensure that everything is perfect when it’s all implemented. It’s the beginning of the game, and hardly a month into release, right now I suggest practicing with your team and your class/es.

Not to be sounding rude but you probably just need more experience if you can’t effectively take on thieves 1v1 and win majority of the time. I win every 1v1 thief fight and have absolutely no problem with Heartseeker or Pistol Whip. An easy tip to use is once the thief disappears, dodge, because most likely he would open with his stun. For safety measures you could do a double dodge. You’re forgetting one thing, these people using PW and HB are glass cannons. If you trap them you can burst them instantly.

Yea i know l2p we got it Mr theif, I’ve been top ranked in MMO’s for the past 15 years, and no bad players shouldn’t abuse a one button click to get kills sorry you should have to work for it like every skilled player already knows.

If you can be trapped with all your escapes why do you consider it impossible for players to get immbolized and traped with p.whip when there stun breaker is down?

Uhh, I’m an Engineer? You know, if you have no usable moves while stunned and got burst down… that’s life. You can’t always win them.. And on a side note, I highly doubt you’ve been top ranked in MMO’s like you say. Someone with such a poor attitude and outlook would never make it far in the ladder.

PvP being separate from PvE – the worst thing about GW2. And I don’t mean just the fact you can’t wear your PvP gear outside the Mists (which IS annoying).

I mean the lack of any world PvP.

Just to counter the “WvWvW is world PvP” nonsenses – it’s not.

I agree it is a pretty bad feature. Makes it somewhat unapproachable for casual players who want to get into after having an 80 or two. It mostly favors hardcores players due to the fact that we don’t do nothing else besides spvp. But I sort of see why they made it this way. It’s to balance it out between spvp and pve, considering leveling to 80 in pve takes shorter then in spvp. And level 80 might not even be the cap in spvp. If they made it so you could use the gear outside, and vise verse then it would be unfair to players who only choose to spvp. We get better looking gear at a slower pace. If the leveling system was even between glory and levels, then it would be another story.. but that isn’t a challenge at all, we don’t have stats on gear so getting max glory rank is pointless. It shows dedication and skill. They really didn’t have an option with the way they structured it.

No matter how much you cry or anyone else, they won’t remove it because there is no reason to. Good players adapt to avoiding it, good players using it adapt to those players by landing it on them . It’s skill based, if you suck, you’re going to get owned by a better player. If you don’t suck then you won’t get owned by a better player, simple.

Okay… thanks for the nickname. Also I’m not the one dying instantly. 80% of the time I stay alive during group fights. I’m also an Engineer that isn’t a defensive build. If you played MMO’s for 15 years, then you should know by now what you’re saying is inaccurate. Or you’re just that bad and don’t know how to play at all. It’s true that those two builds for those classes do a lot of damage above others, but they lack toughness and health. They go down in seconds if focus targeted.

Having that would completely defeat the purpose of Mesmers and their clones. Also on the necro, just target him and press CTRL+ T to set a target to him, and the rest of the team now can target that necro instead of the pets. Problem solved.

First, you shouldn’t be tab targeting. It’s a terrible habit, just manually click targets or click the target-target bound key. In time your targeting will improve. And I’m also going to just ignore the rest of your post, considering it sounded like a cry fest like every other “OMG FIX THIS UNBROKEN CLASS PLEASE…” posted thread out there.

During the warm up period before match, your team should have prepped by grabbing stability utilities for stomps. That many guardians, it’s a requirement to have at least 2-3 people be consistent stompers.

Blind, confusion, knockbacks, weakness, immobilize, dodge, invulnerability, stunbreak, stun, etc etc etc… There are too many ways to effectively negate Hundred Blade Warriors.

So when a warrior throw’s bolo’s at me and Rush’s me and my stun-breaker is down I can do what…Die?

And they can do that every 20 seconds that’s alot faster then my stun breaker repop.

It’s either your team needs more practice as a whole or it’s a personal problem. In a 5v5, you shouldn’t be dropping hard unless either you’re getting focus targeted or your team mates aren’t pulling their weight. With the bolas btw, you can see it coming. As well with the Bulls Charge, when you do react with a dodge or immobilize. In a group fight you have to immobilize, stun, or kb the GS Warrior and focus target him. It’s simple..

Hundred Blade is easily negated. Pistil Whip is easily negated also by dodges and other utility/skills such as stuns, stealths, invulnibility, or dodges. And Moa is easy to counter too… just kite around obstacles or run away from the fight, easy peasy.

Legacy of Foefire. And most likely when they implement new game modes for spvp we will get new maps.

You should be panning your camera around and look out for steals. It’s your teams fault for being unaware of that.

When GW1 launched all they had was HA I believe. If you guys really think that this game is going to get old fast because they aren’t implementing other options right away, then just look how GW1 did. It lasted years, it did begin to crash in the last couple years but that’s because Anet was focusing more energy to GW2. If you can’t handle waiting for a game that has a promising future in e-sports then you should just leave. New people will always start playing GW2, we don’t neeeeed you guys complaining and kitten.

I’m not sure if it’s intended but it never scaled the whole time the game was released. Personally I think it really should scale, kind of makes getting the chests pointless now.

Sorrow, you’re forgetting Alliance Battles, CM’s, and also Hero Battles.

But honestly… The word arena is in their name, how can they only have one form of PvP…. -_-

How can you say that Engineer brings nothing to the table? I’ve been playing Engineer since BW2 and currently halfway to Glory 31. I also win 90% of the fights, 10% remaining are for class builds which counter mine (i.e. Heavy condition builds.)

I’m currently running a rifle burst build, and under the categories you listed I’d have to say that my build is Bruiser / CC. And that’s long range damage, something the Warrior isn’t specialized in. Long range burst + CC brings a lot to the table in a team. It may not be as bursty as a Warrior can get, but I’m almost invincible against melee. Also in team fights the CC is good against casters / long range classes.

Seems like a QQ thread. Warrior is in no means OP. Their burst is easily negated if you know how to play, Thieves also are easy to counter but could use some tweaking to weaken Heartseeker though. If you want to complain about OP then complain about the Mesmers, because they’re the most frustrating class out right now.

Wolf Finishers don’t work, they turn into the Dolyak Finisher whenever you stomped a downed enemy /cry..
