Gold seller boasting about precursors

well Ursan, why are there always offers for precursors who differ just by 1 silver or less. If these where different people, there would probably be a fight between these. But the offers stay this way for many days.
That’s why I think these offers are of goldsellers.

And is grinding really what Anet wants of us? Farming all day and night or is it to achieve a legendary weapon while having fun?

How many of you would have a legendary if....

i’m just waiting for The Lover to drop and that since New Year’s Eve.
2 Months and Anet didn’t react at all

i don’t think, that there are many offers of non-gold-sellers in the TP. I’d just sell it to the highest offer, cause that would give me about 500g.

The problem is, that the highest offers are offers of gold sellers, too.
So it doesn’t matter what you do, in the end a gold-seller will buy you’re precursor.

There should be another event like Karka which floods the market with precursor for a short time. → Gold-sellers couldn’t buy all → normal players have a chance for a precursor and there are many players who just wait for their precursor to complete their legendary

not every precursor which is posted after a dragon fight really dropped them. Some just post it for fun. Otherwise “Venom” dropped yesterday everytime I fought against a dragon^^

which price of precursors do you want

Well that they think about it showed the Karka Event, after that the prices dropped, so normal players could get their precursors. My fault was, that I assumed Anet would keep the prices at that level, so I wanted to do the precursor as the last part. And when I finally got to the precursor, I was 2 weeks to late. The prices went up and Anet didn’t react in any way.
I just can hope for another big event where many drop. I don’t care if I get one or not, the prices would go down again.
The point is: I’m waiting for a solution since 2 months and nothing has happened.
I know they have other important things to do, like culling in WvW and so on, but the precursors are one of the most discussed topics as far as I see.
Maybe they should tell us, how they will react in near future, instead of telling us what we won’t get in the next few months.

As the title says, I’d like to know, which prices for precursors Anet considers to be fair and which they want to get on longterm.

Because all our ideas are senseless if Anet thinks, that 600g for a precursor is fine.

Also everyone who needs a precursor would know, that he has to get x00g and then he will get his precusor some day, instead of watching the prices to rise higher and higher, so he has to give up, though he already has 3 gifts.

I wish there could be an alternative to get a precursor

I already finished dungeon master, so that farming doesn’t feel that senseless.
But it just doesn’t make fun.
I’m a WvW player that needs hundreds of gold for a precursor, because Anet just can’t control the market. (That precursors can’t be at 10g is absolutly clear, but I think 200-300g would be really enough)
And the ones of you, who play WvW know, that it is impossible to earn much money with it.

well, you need to get gold out of the game, so you need fees.

slow down in combat? yeah, would would also be slower in real life, because you have your weapons in your hands and need to be ready to block hits.

if you don’t want to get slowed down, while running through a map then dodge.

and to the precursor prices, yes they suck, but there are already thousands of threads about that.
And yes, culling sucks too^^

@Sauzo
Did you read the posts where people used all their money to get a precursor and even didn’t get one?
So their money is gone, it didn’t change hands, it’s just away.

And also always be aware of the fact, there are many players who don’t play PvE, why should a PvE Player get rewarded for doing something hard, but not a WvW Player?

You would need solutions for every section of the game and that would – on long term – flood the market with precursors.

I’m really frustrated about waiting for a precursor since 2 months, but there just is no good solution to make it legendary.
The only possibility is to improve the actual system and to increase and decrease the drop rate, so keep the price of precursors at a certain price.
Well that is just my view, let’s just see what the future will bring.
In fact there are more precursors in the AH, just at an inacceptable price^^

Well, as posted in some threads, this game needs a gold sink, that’s why there won’t be a great change to precursors. An the mystic toilet is the greatest gold sink, existing. The question is, whether they will manage to balance the prices for a precursor on an achievable level or not.
So even when the epic event quest is coming, it will take like 1 year, otherwise precursors will flood the market.

And no i don’t have a legendary and yes I already have 3 gifts and I’m just waiting for the precursor to drop.

Whether we accept it or not, we need the mytic toilet.

This is not really true.
Let’s just think about it: 2 Players are farming the same mount of money every day. The one starts with the precursor and buys it for 100g, the other starts with the gifts (let’s just say, he starts with the t6 mats and so on, cause that was your example), so he needs just 100g for Gift of Fortune or how it is called. That means, they are ready to the same time with the first part. Now they get the other 2 gifts at the same time.
At the end the first needs the gift of forune and the other the precursor. Because of the rising prices the first needs 200g for the Gift and second needs 600g for the precursor. Quite a difference, hm?

i didn’t mean, that this should be the only way. They should go on dropping and being created in the mystic forge.
My ideas just should be an additional way to get them.

Every 10k WvW kills would be great, I am a WvW player and was just farming PvE until I realized, that prices are rising faster than I can farm.
By the way, in my view, it is not important how many people have a Legendary, cause everyone should have the chance to get a Legendary, not just some hardcore farmers.
And no, I don’t have Dungeon Master, it would take me much time too.

As everybody knows prices of precursors are rising faster than anyone can farm. For example The Lover was at 140g a few weeks ago, now it is at 600-700g.
So I just took some time to figure out, what a Legendary should stand for and I came to the conclusion, that it should be a sign for hard work instead of hard farming.
For example the Gift of Mastery is perfect, you have to play WvW, need to get karma and so on. Also the other gifts make sense to me (tokens …).
The only thing, which doesn’t fit is the precursor.
That’s why I want to offer you two ideas, how a precursor could be achieved by work:
You get the precursor you want:
1. by getting Dungeon Master -> You really need to play PvE for it and this is quite a hugh effort to get it.
2. every 30. levels in Fractals (which means, at lvl 30, 60 …) -> This is also a long way to go
The precursors could even be account bound.
These ways would take some effort and by account bound it couldn’t be farmed.
