I think this is happening all over as people leave the game.

We sound very similar to you in our setup:
ie, we all have jobs, families etc. We don’t demand that members join events but we do post events on our guild calendar so that folks know what is happening and when, so that they can plan around anything that they might like to attend.
We have 60 members currently (down from around 100) but active numbers are less and we are having a sort out of inactive members and looking to replace them.
We currently get 15-25 online each evening but this is steadily growing.

We mainly do pve at the moment as people want to do dungeons to get gear but we are increasingly getting involved in WvW and this is where the focus will be for a lot of us. Personally my first (and favourite) MMO was DAOC which I played for many years. There are many similarities between DAOC and GW2 so we intend to be around for quite some time.

I would be really interested in your members joining us due to our similarities and we can offer them a forum and voice comms (mumble) and a load of friendly folk to play alongside.

We are a casual/mature guild and do mainly PvE and an increasing amount of WvW.
We have a mumble server for use in guild events (mic is optional if you are a shy person).
Currently doing 2-3 pre arranged dungeons per week in addition to the ad hoc dungeon groups pretty much every day. We split this up with some WvW as well.
We don’t demand that members join events but rather we ask if they need help with anything and always try to accommodate them where we can.

Darkveil is a Guild Wars 2 guild for English speaking, non hardcore, mature players. We like to get regular events and raids organised, but we also respect that our members have real lives outside the game and that the game is for fun and relaxation. We pride ourselves on a relaxed and fun attitude to the games that we play.
We originated way back in the early days of DAOC where we ran a fun and friendly guild doing both PvE and RvR. Since DAOC a lot of our members went their separate ways to different games but we reunited for Guild Wars 2 as we believe that this offers the closest gaming experience to old DAOC RvR.
We run regular groups both for PvP and PvE and organise events for all members to join, at all levels. Having played various MMOs over the years, we appreciate the need for organisation for events but without putting pressure on the guild members.
We have a guild forum and mumble server which we use for dungeons or pve groups.
