Dredge fractal gives about 30-50 miner’s bags = about 1g alone.
The +1 agony infusions sell about what, 30s still? You get about 5-6 per run, that’s another 1g~.
This is excluding the fractal relics, the chance to get fractal weapon skins, ascended weapon chests, and so on.
Lastly, a good party shouldn’t take 3 hours to complete a 38 fractal – even with Dredge involved.
Though even if I say this, the gold reward should increase based on the level, but I assume that’s happening already.

Has to be trolling. Tower of Nightmares > Fractals? Try harder please.
And I do personally consider FotM the top tier of PvE content. Aside from Arah dungeon it’s the only PvE content that actually requires people to cooperate with each other.
Considering also a lv 28/38 fotm back in the days when I pug and usually can get a party within 5 minutes, I doubt very few people do them.
I just want to say: that herm guild name is disgusting.
Fractal chests seem to give better chances of giving rares/exotics than dungeon chests. The relics are useful for obsidian shards, 20-slot bags, ascended backpiece, and of course, ascended rings.
I actually do play fractals for the rewards. Dungeons are a source of gold only, but the RNG drops and just better loot overall keeps me coming back to FOTM.
Same old points:
-Modify the rally system please.
-Better/more varied supply drainage traps.
Up until now, the highest measure of skill in this game has been being able to solo Lupi or do fractals lvl 80. The most hardcore guilds use this as a requirement for recruitment.
kitten, that’s some uber elitism right there. I had to laugh a bit if these guilds actually do exist.
Aside from the trolling/QQing/trashtalk going all around, Khayoss pretty much hit the nail on this one a few pages back.
In summary:
-YB really went full out on reset weekend and held a lead on SBI in PPT. Great job.
-As a result of this most of the “fairweathered” and “ktrain riders” pretty much just ditched WvW for other things (insert excuses for LW content/thanksgiving/PvE/etcetc)
-A mutual 2v1 is happening because: SBI is second, and 1st and 3rd would want 2nd’s points hence the lack of assaults from either of their BLs. That, and I’d imagine YB and Ebay both lack the numbers to even go for each other’s (upgraded) BLs when it’s plain obvious its more optimal to prevent SBI from holding more points.
-YB is still persisting to win in PPT – hell probably even Ebay is trying to steal that 2nd place (and might be able to do it). I can see this just by seeing YB capping ruins this morning while we (SBI) had no ruins for a long while.
tl;dr – regardless if it’s 2v1, if YB takes 1st they got their victory through hard work. It can’t be said the same for SBI since there seem to be a massive demoralization movement to engage in WvW with the exception of core WvW guilds and persistent players who hope they can make a difference.
Other than that, I’m a bit disheartened WvW threads all ends up as some few players being overgeneralized into an entire server as if they represent the entire server. It’s just WvW, take it easy.

So much truths in this thread.
Way to go. Making the ONE FoTM that the majority hates even more time consuming. And this is without even considering some of the sadistic natures of new Instabilities that’d be put into place.
My major complaint is how utterly time consuming this is compared to the rest of the FotMs of the same level. I can’t imagine doing this with pugs who utterly refuses to listen.
GW2 has too much traits/skills put into the mechanic of rallying to have it removed in a rather big part of the game (WvW). But I DO agree that persistent rallying is annoying and frustrating when fighting a zerg.
I think a simple solution is simply put MORE penalty on post-rallying. Instead of dying after you rallied for the 3-4th time in a brief time period, make characters die after ONE rally in that same time period. That will at least alleviate some of the problems of rallying while still making rally part of the game in WvW.
Or, give the rallied characters lesser health right after rallying. I think a lot of things could be modified in WvW considering it’s a whole different ball park from PvE (some mechanics should work differently for obvious reasons, rally is definitely one of those mechanics that need to change).

This is a great match-up. Now we have less people whining about how there’s nothing to take. We just have more people whining about poor commanders and wtf-ing on our own BL 24/7, lol.You mean like yesterday when they were repeatedly hitting a fully upgraded Hills and refused to hit a paper Bay?
The funniest thing was probably on Saturday/Friday some guild claimed garrison but threw no upgrades on it and nobody in their guild was around to upgrade for the longest time before we lost it.
Getting a bit tired of all this talk on double-teaming. I don’t think there’s an actual server alliance in place. Maybe 1-2 guilds communicating with each other at certain times but it is a great strategy to beat one server that has the better number. Finally our SBI brethrens have something to whine about (which of course I’ve already whined about since I whine as a habit).

Read the thread, a bunch of good points imo are said:
- New WvW achievements doesn’t encourage organized teamwork and defense. (Sentries? Merc camps? Taking over SM 5 times?)
- Server transfers is double edged. We have people ditching top servers to get less queue/more challenge, and have people ditching low pop severs to “win?” instead of getting stomped all the time. There seem to be as many as the former as the latter group so it can’t really be a negative.
-Inherent problems with WvW – it mostly usually comes down to how big each server is. Which usually result to just terrible matchups where servers can repeatedly get stomped or roll over others. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a simple solution to this, so I suppose we’re just whining without offering constructive criticism.
Couldn’t enter FotM today with the same issues. Game kicks me and my girlfriend out everytime we try to enter after merging lfg with another group. Can’t even enter Lion’s Arch after the first time the game kicks us out.
No idea if it’s mentioned before but, making anything in mystic forge that involve clicking the items over and over again is just tedious and well, mindnumbing.
Examples: Making 250 lodestones to create that exotic weapon would take 6clicks per lodestone which is well over 1500 clicks.
If normal craftable items can be mass produced, I think this would be a easy implementation and saves a lot of trouble.
