No. That is not a possibility at this time. The point of the buff is to affect the WvW game mode as a whole disabling it on your character would lessen the value of the buff to a server and completely invalidate the whole point.

This clearly says that they don’t want it because it will be possible in the whole Borderland. My statement is to deactivate it in one area where nothing is located.
So it will be still value to the server.
Also Devon made an post before saying talking about changes that doesn’t support GvG (like this bloodlust) but WvW, not that he wants GvG community to kitten off and go to Hotm.

Anet is smart, they just give an answer and than they ignore it till it goes off track so they can lock it.

Now about that bloodlust buff…
It is less OP than before with the orbs because the winning server who got the Orbs are located in keeps what is impossible to get to if they got a buff.

Now it’s in the middle of the BL, accessable from all sides.
If the dominated server got all buffs/some keeps in that BL, you simply go with ~40% of your server to a keep from them to lure most of them away from the Bloodlust points. so you are able to take the bloodlust points with the other part of your server.

If it goes right you can turn things around quite quickly.
Only downside, buff is serverside, so available in other BL’s. If you don’t have the numbers to cover all maps, you have a disadvantage because you lose the previous captured bloodlust IF you go to a diffrent BL to get another Bloodlust buff.

Basically, if your server is only able to cover 1 BL and other server can have all maps a Queue you are lost because they have either 150 stat increase less or 50 or 100.

This is just my PoV how Anet expect/thinks about it.

The new update with the change to the BL and the buff you get is quite interesting since it will be added while we are in the middle of a matchup^^ wonder how the points will change.

O.O think we had 23 Coin members that day. (Probably some randoms too, but mostly they act as rally bots because they aren’t on our ts channel so they cant keep up and die. Nothing about their skill, just lack of direction or either upscaled)

Lol I feel dumb, i knew this would happen but not this high.
Bought few k for 2-3s each and sold them for like 4.6s xD still profit but this would make me a lot more ._.

I have Bifrost on my Guardian and actually nothing is new appart the graphics/foot prints like everyone else who got it, but the Skill 2 is just stupid, I like the visual effect tho, but the skill in general is bad. I never use it.

I prefered more these changes:
- skill 4 after empowered a rainbow colloured blast (normally it’s just a light flash)
- Skill 5, some kind of colloured Line of warding that blocks people
- Autoattack, somekind of rainbow wave over the ground.

Skill 2 isn’t amazing. Maybe it’s because I play WvW and skill 2 is just bad compaered the other skills, and as far I remember I didn’t use skill 2 in PvE either.

Think these changes would be better in general with Bifrost on a Guardian.

I hope that more upcoming GvG’s get listed on the gw2gvg site, atm one from NA and the one I have :/ (would be fun to fight Yak, haven’t fought them in open field yet, so will be interesting ^^ can not wait)

The matchup is reaching the final hour, and I must say, it has been an amazing week, one of the best I ever gotten.

For that, I’d like to thank, the Guild I joined last friday ( [Coin] ), Ins for his 24h pain train, Awesome squad fights, GvG’s against [MV] and [Opt], all guilds/blobs we faced in open field, the SR guilds who kept [MoS] away from the GvG we had against [Opt] and probably many more.

It’s been an amazing and exciting week, thanks. o/

It’s a shame this Thread got moved by a Community Special Operation dev… (Wait.. wut…) he probably doesn’t know a lot about WvW and moves this Thread, what obviously isn’t a non WvW related thread, to a deserted PvE event section with non interesting events what doesn’t get a lot of people.

GvG’s by other hand are known by a lot of people, and done by a lot of people who likes it or even spectators who doesn personally do GvG’s but likes seeing them.
This thread SHOULDN’T be here, this SHOULD get it’s own spot in the WvW forum area.

But now MartyPartys told about making a seperated forum for this subject, it’s not needed.
Short story, I think Anet should have made a seperated area in the WvW catagory for GvG or something related to that, instead moving this Thread ^^

I always loved the story lines from Asura’s (haven’t played any other races ;D 3/5 asura’s atm).

My favorite was: The Infinity Ball, but sadly my character couldn’t decide for his own and Zojja just decides for me, so I (my character) had to stop with his invention.

there is where the story line basically stops unfortunately, I’d love to be able to progress and see the world change because of my decisions (in Instances), or because it is against the like from Zojja you get in contact by the bad people (Asuran: Inquest) to proceed the tests with your invention.

(I just love Lore/race lore and not a simple story line that is fun till you get grouped up with Priory/Vigil/Order of Wispers.)

Would be nice to have a Story line that explores the underground where Asura’s got forced out. (if they are forced to live on the surface)

It’s known that there will be more ascended stats items, so my question goes: Do we get a Cultural Tier 4 armour/weapons with Ascended stats?

Lol I just spent 48g to get gear needed on my guardian. Few hours later.. Nerfed xD meh, can still do it on my guardian tho. Made 43g so far ^^

Don’t understand why you make your item list public. The more people who buy the same stuff to sell later, what you use to make profit with will take you harder/longer to sell. Because people see they make profit and list a few k of them so you need to be quick or wait really long to sell yours. (As far I know)

Or there will be more post with people saying: “Hey buy this item because it’s cheap now and sells for profit later” i think at least. (Can be wrong)

I did a lot in PvE and lately looking into WvW but I also want to give PvP a try.
I have tried PvP quite some times but everytime I join Hotjoin match I get killed so quick and end up losing or being one of the few people staying in the match.

Because I get killed all the time I keep switching to other professions because I saw someone in the match who killed me playing a certain profession and he made loads of points/kills.
Everytime I make a new profession and try out I get killed again (not experience with the profession ofcourse).
So after a while, trying loads of classes and keep getting killed, not finding the right build, I get bored.

I am looking away from PvP because of that, but if I see streams or Youtube video’s about PvP it looks fun to play, and that I want to play it, but every time I get bored because I lose/get killed all the time.

That’s basically the problem.
I’d like to have any feedback/tips/idea’s to make PvP more fun for me, so I don’t give up on it.

[Agg] should GvG [TW], after that you can see who the real number #1 guild is from NA atm. In the [Agg] history, they’ve lost from [TW] but got first because by defeating other guilds.

Will be interesting to see those 2 guilds fight If [Agg] isn’t scared to lose from [TW] so they lose their #1 rank of NA

A mesmer placed a veil for the zerg I ran with but it wasn’t visable. So I think it’s still not fixed.

I have to say that i hoped to get some nice fights against some guilds from Deso and Kodash… but at the end we only had some hard fights against FG where they kicked our kitten most of the time. But besides of the fights with FG there were no longer ones. Most of the time half of the enemys drop like low lvls and the others started running.
Sure you gave us some longer fights when you got 2-3 times more players then us with 2 or 3 different groups. And I dont say that we didnt wiped.. but you cant say that we were no enemys for you!!

Most of the week we was on Miller-homemap with 18-24 people.

Can be true since Guilds from desolation are stuck to a map for a week, so you wont fight other guilds on Miller-map than the ones that choosed to be there that week. (As far I know).

The guild I am in didn’t had any action the whole week on our borderlands (most of the times, at raid times.). Think that I made this week ~700 kills with the raids. Before I made that much kills in 1 day

Besides all that, I think it wasn’t that bad. ^^

I play as guardian for some time and I love fighting against big zergs.
My guardian build looks fine, but I haven’t really decided which sigils are good.

Some friends say: Superior Sigil of Restoration,
And other people say: Superior Sigil of Stamina.
Maybe you request a diffrent sigil :/

I use GS/Staff build (0/0/30/30/10).

What for sigil(s) shall I try out / use?

What a bueatifull morning, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and queues everywhere o.o

Legendary skins whenever the new Legendaries are available, so people with the same weapon but old skin can use the new skin without having to make another legendary

So I crafted my Twilight and using it on my Warrior for PvE for some time, but now I am interested in doing WvW but there are no good GS zerg builds so far I’ve seen. So I want to be able to use my twilight on my guardian because there are GS/Staff builds for wvw.

So basicaly, I can’t really use my Twilight for WvW and since “Guild Wars 2” feels rewarding for the things you do (said in the Gw2 2013 Preview trailer), but not able to use some legendary weapons what is in PvE good but in WvW not that good on the profesion you play as, doesn’t feel rewarding at all, but earlier a waste.

Reason I make this Topic is because I am working on a second legendary and I have Gift of Mastery/Fortune and 300+ gold, I can’t deside which legendary I will get since I have no idea if there are furture plans on making it Account Bound or not, or I will go for the staff for my guardian.

Desolation Borderlands.

The skill lag has won again, Piken went to attack out garrison in the middle of the night with around 40 ppl and we have like 20 defenders.

We couldnt defend it because our skills were as usual not working! All the people who spend hard earned gold to upgrade the garrison lost it all.

Some people spend gems and convert them to gold, so they use RL money on this game and still the Deaf Team (DEV) wont respond..

:( Should have played on EB yesterday ~23:30pm UK time, for a bit, massive skill lag ~4+ seconds because of 1 small battle from Kodas and Pieken in StoneMist Castle. We weren’t even there o.o Joined the fight and skill delay shot up to ~7s.
As staff elementalist, it’s a pain in the * because you need to swap attunements too, and the healing I use, heals you every second when you use it, but now lasted like ~10 seconds if it normally last ~3.5s, I think.

Bordelands had bigger fights when I was on, and no skill lag at all o.o

So many unnecessary deads :/ I still imagine massive fights without skill lag so it is actually a lot more fun

Here is my Asura

I like playing gw2 a lot, but I have really low fps with a High End pc.
I get ~15 in Lion’s Arch and at big fights, I do run everything on high.
When I play WvW I change all the settings as low as possible, I keep the amount of players on screen on normal.
At big fights in WvW or a small fight but my camera is zoomed in, I get 8fps. (Lowest settings)
My specs:
Gtx 690 4gb
I7 3770 3.4ghz
16 RAM
samsung 840 pro 512gb SSD
HDD 1TB
Windows 7
Internet speed: 8mbps, 600kb/s download speed, ~400 kb/s upload speed.

What do I have to upgrade to be able to get much higher fps?

If possible, can you link a recommended spec what I need to upgrade? (Not too expensive, <€300 euro max)

The reason that the price for the Dragon Wings is, because you can get it from a merchant for 100k candy’s.
Like the Halloween candy’s drops down to <5c each, so at that point it will be like ~20g total to get it.

Sry if this is not in te right section: but the Buy button for the Art of Guild Wars 2 seems to be bugged on: “sold out” for 6 months. Wanted to get it for X-mas already but it was sold out. It’s probably not a bug but instead it’s not in production.

Any plans in restocking it with maybe new arts from the events?
If there aren’t any plans to restock it, then I’d to pay for
the production cost from 1 book and shipping and the price from the book (hope it isn’t that expensive )

I’m can play the best with my Guardian, using Dmg/Support build.
I didn’t see a required age, I’m 16 years old so you know
I never been in a party who melee Lupicus so I’m not experience with it, I can only range him for now but I’m willing to learn to melee him.
I’m currently aiming for Heavy armour, probably medium armour in the future.

you can guest back to server if you get kicked. 24 hour limit works like this.
you choose 2 servers to guest in next 24 hours. you can run around three servers (including yours) as many times as you wish. After 24 hour limit runs out you’ll be able to choose to new or same serbers

Guesting should be permanent.

When you Guest a server you get kicked out if you:
1. get into an overflow (was before, not sure if that changed).
2. get to your Character screen.

I’d like to see that you only get out the server you’re currently guesting if you do that into your character screen. Some option in your character screen like: ‘Stop guesting’.

24 hour slot is fine if this will be implemented because, I get kicked out the server I’m currently guesting and than I have to wait 24h if I got kicked by [examples above].

Maybe maximal 4-6 hours you can guest a server or less. ( I don’t really care)

I liked the story line called: Infinity Ball. If I had a change in denying Zojja at the end of the story line where I had to fight myself I would have choosen the option to progress my invention and NO to Zojja. Instead having to trow it away like it was nothing.

Yeah, if that’s the inquest way than yes, I’d join them.

Btw, some people say that you have to be a hero ingame (seen that in some other forum posts), I disagree that, because an MMORPG game doesn’t have to be all good, more like a choice if you want to be a hero or not (I think that’s more RPG like). The story reminds me more to WoW because there you have to be a hero (so far I know).

btw I agree with some stuff from the maker of the Topic like: Colours from the armour they wear and the imagine of a story line how to join them part.

Who knows… Maybe in the future. ( I highly doubt that)
