By searching forums I have found some very nice programs to make GW2 look even more beautiful than it is now. But the downside is that you are not allowed to use all those third-party programs to make it look so much better.
According to latest Steam hardware system surveys and even other sources, there aren’t really much anymore people who use XP or Vista. Also, over 90% have DirectX 10 or 11. So is there really need to support so much those who have low-end PC while there are high-end PC users who just need to use the max settings and still not getting all fun from the graphics cards and CPU.
So the question is: Is there any word really about upgrading the graphic system?They just aren’t so up-to-date as they could be. I’m fine with the current graphic system but as time goes by, it needs to be improved.
Any ArenaNet developer could give a word about this?

I was there just a while ago and everything was working well. We even did all the events required for the boss to spawn in volcano. Also every event i tried outside the volcano worked too. :P

Atleast AC exp path 2 can be speedcleared so fast. You can just run through most of the mobs and kill only the must mobs. Needs somesort of doors that require killing more of the mobs before one could continue on or something like that. I have now been there twice a row with people who do this.

I went to Lion’s Arc. More closely to the Eastern Ward (Coriolis Plaza) and there were currently 6 portals which just don’t yet lead you to anywere. So, I’m not sure if it was just a bug or something but I saw 2 of those portals being active (looking similar to any Asura gate) but they had big red mark on them showing that they aren’t useable currently.
Now that I went to check them again they were just like any other portal, not being active or anything…
So, anyone else have noticed something like this? Could these be used with halloween event?

I have played the first Guild Wars about 1500 hours. And I’m still loving it. But once every player just left the first Guild Wars game I did too finaly.
The reasons for bying Guild Wars 2 were it’s lack of subscription, different gameplay than other MMOs, beautiful graphics and, of course, to support ArenaNet to be the number one game developer one day.

There are couple of invulnerable pirates in the “Bloodtide Coast”. The picture tells a bit more accurate location. Atleast 2 of the pirates are invulnerable. Most are still dying normally.

Is Anet aware about all the speedclears one could do in different dungeons by passing content, using bosses againts each others and things like these? These things atleast exist in AC but I believe they are easily done in all dungeons.
Hoping for fixes for these. I see Anet is really working on these and it surely takes time as seen in all patch notes.

Also, not all loot drops are scaled to the area. There are some drops that can have much higher level loot.
I was in Gendarran Fields (lvl 26-32) last evening at level 70, and got a few level 50-60 items.
In my opion this is bit bad thing. Thought you get them rarely but it’s pretty easy to kill mobs/bosses, but yeah, this whole system is still quite good idea. Get’s much replay ability to this game. Althought people rarely go to low lvl areas due the high travel cost.

Those were good thoughts about it.
You get lower reward (karma,cash,loot) from events/killing mobs.
Still while you are downscaled you do more dmg since the all traits you have. This why it’s very easy to level still in low lvl areas. (correct again if I’m wrong)
I still believe this whole system is great in all it’s matter. It adds quite much the replay ability to it.
Edit; I read it more carefully and do the traits get lowered too?

I was leveling in 45lvl area. After it I went to level in 5lvl area. Got quite the same amount of experience from mobs atleast. Got quite much exp also from completing task in 5lvl area.
So, is the only downside of leveling in low lvl areas the cash/karma reward?
I might be wrong about those things said above. Correct me in that case.

Yes, this is more like a academic project, not “the game is dying” since I can’t see why people think like that
And yes I believe it would be more usefull to directly contact Anet or someting like that. But by the time I need this information I believe it would be too late to ask from Anet

Has anyone any kind of knowledge about the current count of sold copies of Guild Wars 2? I know it sold about 2 million copies at just in few weeks after launch but after it there’s no any kind of information about sales.

Atleast in Ascalon Catacombs some, if not all, cinematics, miss their voices. The video plays well but there’s no any voice played sometimes.

Near [Wynchona Rally Point Waypoint] in Harathi Hinterlands there is some sort of “cabbage farm” which can be seen in map too. First must kill some bandit guards near it and 1 veteran bandit guard. After it there’s door which you can interact with. Door opens but you can’t enter there because of invisible wall.
So, is it mentioned to be like this (wall blocking) because you may enter there only when in some event or something. Or is this just cleary a bug?

Well I’m sure you weren’t looking for sarcasm. The truth is, those tells that you’re looking for ARE there. They aren’t obvious, but they’re there.
If you’re running and dodging at random, then you’re wasting energy needlessly. AC is tough, and I mean, TOUGH, the first time through. It will be even more difficult if you’re in the process of breaking your old MMO habits (relying on tanks I.e.)
I’m assuming the “random” red circles are traps, all of them appear in the same spot (unless it’s the ranger mobs… But even those say in plain text… “throws traps”)
I would try try again. My first time through AC was accompanied by a lot of “you gotta be kidding me”, or, “this CAN’T be right”
It’s hard, but doable. You’ll get your epic feeling once you clear it, trust me.
You got the thing I mean. And yes, your right about that the hints about bosses are there but they are currently so unseen that one just can’t know when and what.
And yes, I will definitely try them again so many times again. And I believe I will get used to them. For sure I miss the old GW having the roles thought they weren’t so clear since the speedclear owning everywhere.
For short, the truth is out there, one just needs to learn to notice it better. Takes time but that’s only good thing

Let’s see. You’re asking a boss alerts, and maybe a red text “Dodge now” “Walk back” “Go near him”. Sure, why not. And an autopilot button too, why not?
Yeah. I expected something like this to come right away. NO. Definitely NO.
What I’m asking is:
Can you currently tell when any boss does something big by somehow?
Can you tell why you were knocked down?
These are the things I like to know. And for every else going to post similar as above I mean like, currently you may be at anywere at anytime (mostly), go ress if you want (not must due the tele running) and use the so called “autopilot” because you just don’t know what else you would be doing.
I’m still expecting more post like above, but they are ok too

I’m currently lvl 34 elementalist and I have tried Ascalonian Catacombs couple times now in story mode. Every try has ended up failing in some point. It’s not about that the dungeons would be too hard or too easy, they just feel like “random” happenings:
- Red circles spawning everywhere
– Not sure what mobs are doing
– Not sure what bosses are doing
It’s all like, you have to just go to wiki and read everything to know what this mob/boss does since there are no clues about it (casting bars…bosses saying something…any big move before the boss does “the thing” )
You just run and dodge mindlessly from place to another since everything feels “random”.
So the thing is, that I would like everything or atleast most to have more of the strategy. And by it I mean simple strategys. Easier to get the idea of things to do, bosses responding better to it, and everyone having the thing they need to do. Not just throw rock to get some more time to nuke/heal, run away to get more time to nuke/heal…etc.
Does anyone else feel this?
BTW. Great game in all other ways. I really enjoy this. +50 hours already

Absolutely yes. I love this game. I have been playing only my first charachter and it’s only about 30lvl but there’s absolutely so much things you can do. And after they fix all (or atleast most) bugs, it surely get’s only better.

In Caledon Forest, there’s task called “Disrupt the Nightmare Court at Briarthorn Den”
You must first disguise as one of the Nightmare courtiers to end the area. Once you are inside, press (H) to see hero panel and then put on town clothes. This will result in error message which you can send to ArenaNet.

Has there been any discussion with devs about adding casting bars or something similar to dungeons bosses? It is currently quite hard to see when the boss is using some of the skills…
Or has there been anything about adding dungeon group finder. It is really needed. Currently people can in worst case use as much time to find good group than it would take to complete the specific dungeon already.
Anything been talked about these devs?

Visual Bug: In Caledon Forest, near Naulshead Refuge point of interest, there is rock wall which allows you to walk through it and you can be inside it. I have found other similar bugs to this, but they were so small that they sohould be fixed later when bigger ones are gone…
- Picture 1 = Map logation of bug
- Picture 2 = Provided to give some better look of where I am.
- Picture 3 = This is the buggy rock. The one with waterfall on it and grass over it.
- Picture 4 = Taken inside the huge rock to show how things were seen from there.
Infinite Charisma Bug: The story guest The Heart of Nightmare gives you infinite charisma farm after you have Killed Ysvelta.
