I cant beleive this..

I don’t see many ideas that seem to fit better then whats in place. But I could be the only one here that thinks this system already works. Most of the good commanders in my server are in the commander ‘Circle’ if you will. They have really taken me under their wing as a new commander. We also have marked commanders that arnt in the ‘Club’ :P and that is the way of the system for my server. Sure do I make mistakes? Yeaa! Would I be the number one of even top 10 choices for commander on my server if it were voted on? Probably not honestly.

I like the system.

This all being said. the commander icon at this point in time for those who dont know is just that. A icon. Thats it. The squad system is broken as it gets and completely worthless for many commanders point of view. This needs to be fixed.

Ranger is “fine” for PvP, however to play paid tournaments certain team builds are stronger than others and not only ranger class is kittened in there, many classes have only 1 viable build (uhhhh…so fun everyone running with the same builds).

Also, what’s the deal about loving PvP but saving “time” spent on ranger when you can create a character in 2 minutes and get it ready for sPvP.
If by PvP you mean WvW then ranger it’s quite good, there are far worse classes for WvW.

No, each class only has one “viable” build for the current META, if you don’t run the meta (because you’re intelligent enough to either counter the Meta or know how to exploit top end pvpers who only know how to fight that one group comp) you’ll still be effective, if not more so.

I think your missing is point completely.

Anyway. Rangers do great in group w3. and you can build it more then one viable way… What is this “one ‘viable’ build for the current META”?

After I typed this and was about to send a reply, It did dawn on me that your simply upset at the newest patch like the rest of us and not alot of point for us to fight each other. I just dont think everyone should be giving up when this are much worst classes in w3. Let alown PvE lol

FA is seeing this aswell. We had 2 full groups of normal pvpers in my guild last night doing fractals all night instead of helping out. The fraction of active people on every server not doing W3 is the same everywhere I think.

In fact in pvp ranger is not so great. but in W3 I can say Ranger IS NOT the worst on the field when maxed gear… lets see.. 1.5k crits with sb at 1200?

if you ever make one i can give you some build tips but honestly ranger takes alot of bang to get your value out of em..

Thing like trading runes of the ranger for only divinity runes is rule of thumb for a W3 ranger. Also the Forge Amulet is a must have! The list is infant really on tactics and for me to go in detail without Mumble or TS or somthing It would take me along time. But key things like in W3 only using a SB(pow prc crit)/{AC}Axe (sigil energy).warhorn (sigil hydromancy) will give you great buff to staying alive. just swap too it when you thing you will die and warhorn out! you may find that most other classes are better dps. while that is true who said anything about picking only the most OP class. I’m sure your in it for fun and enjoyment like everone else.

Ranger is a blast. And when everything is said and done. Our day will come.

I’m just going to ignore all this anti community junk and say that the battles have been legendary so far!

I run glass cannon and the damage with SB only it’s not so bad. It’s just that nothing else about my ranger is good. I get hit like a tank and my pet can’t hit a thing. Really.

Ranger is still worth while to play for any real player. Our day wil come people. Lets suck it up. I may not be able to solo every thief but let me tell you it’s not a hard feet to stay alive and kite away from them. We need some community rangers to take hold of all these negative posts.

This is the best matchup I’ve played yet. I’ve put so much time into this match already!

I hope we are backed into a corner at every turn this week. W3 is not fun without challenge. I for one have felt it. And it feels great. This morning we were fighting just to hold our ground in EB!

You guys got nurfed into the ground soo soo bad… how will you even stay alive in w3? i think your only option is to roll a Ranger an experience true OPness.. after all some times in my full glass cannon beast ranger i can so get 2k crits between Obstructed ( ’s ? ) !

It’s a little pointless now that the match is half over but I’d like express my extreme disappointment in both DH and FA for various reasons.

We’ll go with DH first;

I notice a lot of the time when FA has mostly the full map controlled, DH likes to roll into our (HoD) borderlands and, big surprise, start taking camps and attacking towers. The ones by their own border? Dear no, despite FA having a huge advantage, not only do they come to our BL to cause trouble, they will constantly hit the camps all the way across the map near the HoD citadel and begin attacking dawns and woods towers randomly. I can think of quite a few situations where FA probably would have been routed from the majority of the map, if instead they did the logical thing and started taking the things by their own border instead of screwing around and attacking HoD’s pittance of an established land.

As for FA – I mostly noticed that a lot of the time when DH gets their game on (especially in EB) and starts taking stuff, we will also be there trying to take the towers and camps near our border, yet despite DH taking close to half the entire map, FA will continue to flood our border with literally 30+ people, while they let DH just plow down the rest of the map… seems kind of suspicious and very counter-productive: prevent 1 server from getting 1-2 towers at the cost of half the map.

I don’t hold the idea that FA and DH are working together necessarily, but the seeming amount disregard they have for each-other when they go well out of their way to keep HoD under wraps, at the same time seems pretty ridiculous and definitely not productive in terms of a good match.

P.S. Please keep the “well obviously HoD sucks” and “QQ more nub” comments to yourself. Regardless of how bad 1 team is, logic says that you will spend more energy fighting the hard fights than the “weak” guys – which has not been the case as outlined above. This also isn’t to admit that HoD isn’t capable, because we are.

Just to clarify we switched to EB 3 or 4 times last night. Would push red off the map and move back to HOD. Your server defended garrison for what seemed like all day. Now don’t you think starting off your post with how well you held us back would have been more positive?

I for one didn’t mind yesterday. It’s clear then that if you don’t bring the fight too us we will bring it too you.

For the past month I’ve been getting ObstructedObstructedObstructed every time on the burrows in AC with my SB ax and long bow. Other then barrage these weapons on a ranger don’t hit it. Is anyone else getting this?

At one point my cheat piece broke and i was in the nude on my norn ranger haha.

I had a blast in EB last night. huge battles huge siege attacks. I feel into the hill just so you know… no hacks involved. after i fell into it and realized i could attack and revive deep below the ground i let you kill me at the edge.

As a small request enough of the unkillablepermastealthing! Every server has some sort of exploiters but please help us report these kittenkittenssssS!

I’m thinking about my exotic gear and what stats to put on them.

1st idea was to max out power and prec. It seems like everyone is doing this? is this true?

2nd idea is something im personally interested in. I was wondering about making a tanky ranger with all defensive stats runes ans sigils. any ideas on this or input?
