The information on the Master Earth trait line ‘Rock Solid’ is wrong.
The number should be VIII not XI
Staff, S/D and D/D (don’t really play a lot of focus but ill try to include them)
First of all Trait lines
Air and Earth Magic
In my opinion the new Grandmaster traits are sort of useless although in S/D i find the trait – Fresh air to be useful as I can just switch to the lightning attunement to use electrical discharge.
Arcane
Fair enough this has been buffed and it allows D/D users and S/D users to be able to move around freely during battle. However it may have been better if in the arcane trait line that there was a good buff for staff as well.
Fire
I’m not really sure whether buffing lava tomb was a good thing or not so i’ll leave that out but ‘Persisting Flame’ I can see this as a really good buff to those who prefer glass cannon or power build elementalist because by having fury it’ll increase our critical chance (although that’s really it)
Water
I didn’t really have any problems with the percentage reduction
Skills that seem important to me or has had a major (not really) change
Signet of Air: This skill is now a stun breaker. Increased the cooldown to 30 seconds.
I think this is quite useful although it’s not really recommendable to use signets because of the loss in its passive stats unless you are traited 30 on earth to keep the passive effects when used.
Lightning Flash: No longer a stun breaker, increased damage by 50% CD reduced to 40
I think this was quite a fair change as it is a really good opener rather in comparison to the typical RTL > Updraft. (tips if you don’t really do this). Arguable I think this could have stayed as a stun breaker since it really does make sense.
Cleansing Fire: This is a fair change since stun is more of a Control effect than a condition. On the positive note the cool down has been decreased.
Gust: This skill now passes through enemies, striking multiple foes in a line
I believe this is a really good buff for staff however it is still easy to dodge but by allowing it to pass through those who dodge it, it will hit those who aren’t expecting it. It’s really good for Team fights but could be a tricky skill to use during 1v1s.
I’d say all the reduction of cast time for staff skills are good giving staff builds a bit more mobility. (Specially on water making staff support to be a bit more effective than it was as you can now use healing rain while moving ^^ good buff)
Suggested skill improvements and balance that could have been done
S/D
Increase the speed of dragon tooth by 2-3% and decrease the damage by 5% or arguably it could become a ground targeting skill allowing users to be able to use to place it in a spot (enemy movement prediction) but I’m not really sure if it should really be GT skill.
Blinding Flash should really do some ( or small amount) damage since the animation is a lightning from the sky I’m sure it would hurt if i get hit but you know….game logic.
Shatter stone: I think it should explode after 1 1/2 seconds causing vulnerability (already there) AND chill (2-3 seconds) but if it kept at 2 seconds before it explodes it should really chill enemies while it’s preparing to explode but reduce the range to 700 since people aren’t afraid of stepping over it since they know they can just casually dodge the move.
D/D
No improvements i can suggest i think they’re fine
Staff
Damages on the number 1 skill attunement could be slightly improved
PVP Builds I’m currently running (All the skill numbers represent the new trait line numbers at this time this topic was posted)

D/D
I don’t really need to say a lot for this since most of it is a typical build however there is a build i am currently using which i don’t want people to see … yet although I’m not sure if it’s already out there or not.

I hope Anet fix this soon because it’s really ruining the game :/
The current patch hasn’t fixed the bugs at all for necromancer! I’m hoping for more patches in a few hours to fix it :/
Isn’t the Champion Risen Wraith too OP?
Has anyone killed that champion before?
I think they should call the skill hemorrhoids, it hits hard and it’s painful!
The runes i’m running now are runes of forge which imo is pretty good however I will try the ones you have suggested for me thanks man
Considering that i’ve only played this game for 2-3 weeks and played elementalist d/d for 3 days i’d like to thank you for giving me advice!
1st clip reply: I agree with you in terms of the loss of damage potential and he was still alive when i burnt updraft on him however after using his mist for to go down and that was what i predicted so i kind of avoid using my Lightning attunement till he uses his mist form so I can chase after him and the plan worked
2nd clip reply: I did realize that it was a clone however my friend had called out that he needed help so it was a situation moment for me so I did use RTL to position myself and stop the opposing team from coming through the tunnel! Plus Thank you for your tip of using BS on the tunnel by the way! Plus the positioning of CE and yes i’ve already turned off my melee attack assist today
3rd clip reply: I realized that the thief was maintaining close distance therefore used BS although you are half correct I wasn’t fully aware of it but experimented on it during the fight.
4th clip reply: I have downed 2 people in windmill therefore relied on my team mates to finish them off, therefore pushing to mansion by myself as I try not to get involve with zergs too much (unless i’m messing around). The thief was very persistent in chasing after me and by using the RTL I was able to get away and heal without the use of my glyph and water attunement he however has chased me across the whole map and so I initiated the fight and thanks for the LOS tip!
5th clip: I don’t understand the first part of the sentence however I do agree with you with the runes i’ve looked at other peoples runes and a major popularity was with ogre however I have to state that this is useless to me as it reduced my toughness to 1.6/1.5k therefore used a different rune which increased my toughness to 1.8K and I can’t remember if I did however I have recently been using toughness on main dagger and energy on the off hand.
6th clip: I’d have to disagree with easily reviving the team mate as my main worries was the condition built ranger and guardian (he was okay) as I replaced cleansing wave with LF for better mobility. and yes I’ve gain the habbit of using EQ then CE which i’ve gotten rid of today so it was a mistake at my end and yes I kind of slacked away from moving the camera from the trees as I was sleepy (sleep is for the noobs therefore i’m part noob muwahaha) I would have finished the necro however i never realised that i am able to use finisher then mistform to avoid hits/CC until today so yeah!
I like both cantrips however it depends on the map which ones I use and depends when i’m playing with or against my friends.
Thank you for your feed back! Do correct me for this reply if I have said anything wrong or weird
Hello! I’ve just recently started playing Elemantalist and am currently enjoying them I want to showcase on how useful elementalist are as they are very versatile! They fulfill lots of rolls within SPVP and TPVP ! Tips on improvements would also be nice and sorry if the gameplay isn’t that good as i’m more of an editor.

I would like this video if it weren’t difficult to watch.
The quick cuts, zoom-ins and the cutting-off of the UI bugged me greatly.
Just as I was enjoying the action, one of the above would happen and completely ruin the experience.
Good enough play though. Wish some of the opponents were slightly better.
Thanks for posting.
Fool of a tuk! cutting off the UI? i mean come on man you should know the move that’s used? zoom ins are useful in terms of explaining what actually occurs and quick cuts are use for transitions.
The reason why it seems like the opponents are bad is because the person in the vide made him look bad however I do admit some of them were bad but the player himself is probably even better than them?
It’s more cutting off the boons, conditions, and HP bars than skills used. You can still see the skill without the UI.
The simple white text that was used sparingly was good enough to explain what occurs. Zoom-ins disrupt the action and mess with the view of the battle. They actually make it harder to tell what was going on as it takes the eyes more time to adjust afterword.
The cuts for different fights are fine and they are needed since they happen at different times obviously, but making cuts in the middle of fights again disrupted the flow of battle.
Fair enough but I guess in my opinion I didn’t really find any disruption within the action it was perfectly fine, I don’t really see a problem of my eyes adjusting to the pace however this may be due to me seeing lots of fast pace mmo/fps editing videos.
I think when you mean zoom in, it might be in terms of the in-game camera as there is still a minor problem with it.
I agree with you in terms of cutting the fights in the middle as it will be disrupting the flow of the battle however as some GW2 clips sometimes consist of 1-4 minute battles (which can take a huge percentage of the video) it would rather be difficult on when to cut and continue the fight.

Love the game play and smart tactics as usual and keep your build a secret we don’t need anyone using it against us in TPVP muwahahaha
