Oh yeah, would welcome mursaats back, i’d like to see those guys again. My fav enemy in GW1.

It’s very hard to understand the side of the community that cries wolf at anything that seems like it may cause the slightest grind when nothing has been implemented yet. I too am disappointed. Not with the GW2 community, but with the MMO community in general.
Now I remember why I nearly quit MMOs altogether. You people get months of content to play without a subscription and now this.
Tell me about it, just came from Planetside 2 forum and oh my what a whinefest.
Not as bad as here tho, but still…
If only they would represent their point of view in some other way than making hundred threads about how this game sucks, and how they are leaving the game right freaking now.
At this rate ANet wont have the money to produce another GW.
Just because vocal minority whines doesn’t mean peole are doing somekind of mass exodus.
Do you have bacon fat smeared on your glasses?
Propably just all the bs flying from the mouth of all you whiners.

At what rate? Do you have access to Anet’s financial accounts or something?
Just because vocal minority whines doesn’t mean peole are doing somekind of mass exodus.
So many spiteful people. Doubt they could make any better games.
So… Jrunyon and Valtameri, are you two saying then that this is a good idea?
Like, of ALL the ideas in the entire world, this is a really… just good idea.
So what if it was kitten in every other game that tried it… right? Whiners got no sense! amirite?
Who are we to judge if it is a good idea, heck we haven’t even tested out the patch yet.
What i’m saying is that new stat isn’t gonna affect gameplay as much as people think.
If it would be widely used over the game, maybe.. But now i don’t really see the big problem here. No one is forcing you to venture 100 levels of new dungeon til’ you start needing that new gear.
Stat only to be used on DEEPEST levels of the new ‘infinite’ dungeon.
People exaggerates this new stat so much…
YAY! We’re finally getting the “gear treadmill” EVERYONE asked for.
Hopefully soon we will get flying mounts, resilience gear, reputation grind, gnomes, night elves and kung-fu pandas!
/end sarcasm
Attention seeker, you just keep on whining on every thread aren’t you. Still here eh?
Also reference to kung-fu panda proves that you don’t know anything about Warcraft lore.Don’t know and don’t care….
It will forever be known as panda land, get used to it.edit: and thank you for bestowing your attention on me.
Nothing to get used to, people are ignorant and stupid.
Just get your facts straight before whining. Also if you don’t like the game, why are you still here? That’s the one thing i really want to know.
I love this game ankittenrying my best to voice my opinion in order to help save it from being changed into a mind numbing gear grind (like WoW is), which I, as a paying customer am entitled to.
If it turns into an endless gear grind such as WoW (or “Panda Land” as it is now known as) then I will be quitting the game and taking my money elsewhere (exactly what I did with my dissatisfaction of Diablo 3).
Savvy?
Voicing your opinion is one thing, going on whining in EVERY thread even the positive ones are just being spiteful. Send email to Anet or something.
And you taking your money elsewhere, they already got money from you, so did Blizzard from Diablo. Doubt you would buy that many diamonds anyway so their loss is minimal.
Also you said “IF”, since patch isn’t even out, you could like save up that whine for the time being and use it AFTER you have actually tested the game out after patch.
Personally, I’m just not playing GW2. I actually roll a new character in GW1, Presearing. To my surprise I actually have been having far more fun, despite already having over 3,300 hours logged in GW1.
Good for you. Why are you still here then…? Not trying to be offensive (much..).
To let ANet know they’re making a series of dire mistakes, in the hopes they will tomorrow have a meeting, try to recover from their hangovers and tell one another, “Oh man… we messed up guys. We messed up bad.” And then fondly remember GW1, and drastically remodel GW2 to be less terrible.
While i understand your point of view, problem is that opinion is only other half of the whole.
So which one they should listen then? Others say they want sense of progression, that usually means gear, title or achievements. All of them are grind in the end.
Then others say they don’t want to grind stuff.

I think Anet should just stop bothering making any content to this game since it appears that no matter what they do, people are still crying their eyes out in here.

You do realize that agony is only in the most deepest levels of new dungeon, not anywhere else. Impact to the overall PvE experience will be minimal.
There is no other way to make a MMO other than using the treadmill. Theres no progression without a treadmill… How do you guys not see that, how can sitting in the same gear since you turned level 80, and downing bosses that don’t vary in toughness be fun!?
While i agree that mostly MMO’s without gear progression just ain’t gonna work, i think it worked just fine with GW1. Ofc that’s subjective too, some peole might think otherwise, but personally i think that is the one game that worked fine without constant gear progressing.
Just to clarify, i’m not aganist treadmills, i like collecting gear.
Want some cheese with that whine?
Didn’t read all of it due there been soooo much text, but i tried to pick out the ones that caught my eye the most.
So let’s start with achievements; True, gw2 doesn’t make such a big deal out of it, where as in WoW the achievements were almost a meta game by themselves. It ‘earned’ you some bragging rights and so on (pff..). Personally i’m not sure which system i like the best, it’s good that game doesnt revolve around achievements, but at the same time they do seem less satisfying.
End game, not sure what kind of competition you want, realm first kills? Doubt you’ll find anything like that here.
Events can be tricky when the launch rush has passed and you’ll be spending most of your time doing them alone or with less than three people.
Dungeons, well.. they do feel harder than in WoW (that doesn’t require much, i know).
Community; Well as harsh as it might sound, i find community here being way worse than i have ever seen in WoW. Which is saddening but not gamebreaking for me. There are lots of decent people too.
Combat; I’ll keep this short, i love AND hate the idea of getting rid of “holy trinity”.
Downside is that it all boils down to zerg enemies down.
Good thing, no need to search up healers for several hours.
That’s about it for now.
I quess i died during last night and instead of heaven ended up in this fairyland with nothing but bunch of whining princesses in it.
