Greetings,

I am Vancien, Legatus of the VII Legion, Virtus Et Vitium. I offer to you the opportunity to join a growing guild on the Tarnished Coast, share in epic battles, steal loot from pirates, laugh, joke, perhaps even cry or curse like a sailor from time to time. Currently small in number but growing by the week, we seek others who wish to enjoy the game as much as we do and collectively accomplish goals. Without fear of being typecast as a “noob” or filtering your slang, we aren’t as concerned with a mass in players as we are of quality in each individual person.

We wish to have mature individuals respectful of other players, work well as a team and can overcome adversities and challenges together. We strive to become a driving force within WvW, PvE and PvP. Role players are welcome to our group as some of us will certainly engage. However, we don’t consider ourselves a heavy role playing guild.
With that being said, we are a very social group. All play styles are welcomed.

Most of us do spend our time on the guild vent server while playing. We’re a fun bunch and playfully will poke fun at one another, tell jokes and have a lighter side of humor. Face it, life without humor is just boring. Chat has known to often times be missed in Guild chat due to our focus on the game. The best form of communication for us is certainly by voice.

Although our makeup is mostly an adult crowd, ages 25+ we do have some that are younger in age. Maturity often times is a state of mind, rather than just a designated age bracket. We’ll consider anyone with a good attitude who can be themselves without being disrespectful to others and embarking on their enjoyment of the game.

Also, it is important to note that because we are an adult guild, we all have day jobs. During the week our play times are variable but the weekends boast high activity. We’d certainly love to grow our daytime player base during the week but real life will always come first for us. In the end we can all agree that in some way or another we have aspired to Have or Fallen short. Also known as The Seven Deadly Sins, Virtue is countered by Vice. The Seven Virtues and their counter part Vices are as follows:

We are a strong group of players. We challenge all aspects of the game. We’re currently building a much stronger presence in WvW, Dungeons and sPvP. Elitism is not allowed and we strive to have positive attitudes in our guild. The guild is certainly a much more active on the weekends guild, weekend warriors as we call it. Simply because we are all adults with full time jobs and bills to pay.

I’d also like to add that we’re very “couples” friendly. What the heck does that mean? Well, for whatever reason or force of nature we seeem to have collected around six different sets of couples in the guild who enjoy gaming together. So it’s a nice environment to go out double date smashing in dungeons or whatever. :P

It’s actually rather awesome as the couples we have are cute as buttons. Everyone else that is single is just average. Haha, kidding!

Currently increasing our numbers for more availability to run dungeons. I’d like to devise a few teams to run Fractals, HTW and WvW groups on a weekly basis. We just had several new members reach level 80, therefore story mode completions and then explorables are again on the agenda list.

~ Currently Looking to Expand our Daytime and Oceanic Population ~

Right now we are in need of grave yard shift pullers and anyone playing Oceanic time zones. We’d really like to expand on our ability to accomidate more of a presence during the daytime hours in WvW as well as our night time presence there for some of our Oceanic time zone players. This also applies for everything and not just sPvP or WvW but Explorable content as well.

WE STILL NEED DAY WALKERS, GRAVE DIGGERS

We have a really great bunch of folks in the guild thus far and we’d love to add more to that. We’ve really started something awesome. So if you are mature, want a mature environment and a place to be appreciated, come join us.

The focus right now is to build a stronger PvP group for daytime and night time, competitive PvP and WvW. There is great opportunity for those willing to help drive this growth as leaders.

• RECRUITING GRAVE DIGGERS, KIWIS & AUSSIES *

Or those that walk the Grave Yard shift. :P

Currently we’d love to have some individuals that may have more of an open daytime schedule for WvW & SPvP units. Our majority of member base works on a regular 9-5 EST, MT or PST schedule which allows for much more activity in the evenings.

However, this is also an opportunity for potential growth into a leadership position with the guild to work well with our daytime croud. Everything previously stated, still applies here.

Also, we have several Austrailians within the guild that we’d like to have more of a guild presence for as well. This may also help with the fulfillment of our daytime player base as AUS is 12 hours ahead of the rest of us. And as such, any Kiwi friends are welcomed the same.

It was recently brought to my attention that this may come off as a religious, militant guild. Let me assure you that this is certainly not the case. Althouh, the history based on the meanings of what Virtues & Vices are may be related to relgious belief this is not how the guild is conducted.

This guild is about people, their indifference and acceptance. Each individual making up whether or not it is to be Virtue or Vice the dynamic that sets us apart yet intertwinse us together. Individuality and Creativity are the threads that weave our world.

We are looking for individuals to help our day time PvP player base grow. Many of us work 8-5 and a few work at night. But we are also still accepting all applications as well.

Striving to have epic battles together, fun humor and adult conversation our makeup is that of an older player group. Currently small in number our ranks are powerful in stature. For we are not as concerned with vast numbers as we are a value of within an individual player.

With that being said, we are a very social group. And most of us do spend our time on the guild vent server while playing. We’re a fun bunch and playfully will poke fun at one another, tell jokes and have a lighter side of humor.

Although we do makeup mostly an adult crowd, ages 25+ we do have some that are younger in age. Maturity often times is a state of mind, rather than just a designated age group. We’ll consider anyone with a good attitude who can be themselves without being disrespectful to others.

Virtues and Vices are a counter balancing eternal pair of which may weigh differently in certain segments of our life. We may all be admired for a Virtue or typecast for a Vice. In the end we can all agree that in some way or another we have aspired to Have or Fallen short.

Also known as The Seven Deadly Sins, Virtue is countered by Vice.

The Seven Virtues and their counter part Vices are as follows:

Lacking content, boring and doesn’t feel innovative for combat encounters or boss fights? If that is seriously your opinion, you probably haven’t even played the game beyond level 20. There is no way possible that this game could be lacking to anyone in content, structure or necessarily in need of some drastic change because its too hard.

Here is the way I feel about the OP and consequent posts there-after. Your all wanting this game to be that other game that evolved over the years and is now Easy Mode. Everything gets handed to you for the least amount of effort required and nothing is much of a challenge. There is absolutely no MMO- out there where you literally aren’t broke as a joke if all you do is PvP all day. Get over it and go earn some money.

For anyone to say that there is a lack of content, they either haven’t even leveled to 80 yet or they haven’t cleared every zone available. You know you can go clear areas that are lower level for the same level of challenge it would be at that level right? Going through the motions of encounters tells me, you haven’t seen much of any encounter in this game. Nobody just follows through the motions in boss encounters or any high level encounter in this game. You can’t just stand around and cast and if you are, that is why you are dead on the ground expecting a revive.

I find it sad that no matter what drastic variable a developer like ANet has delivered, people still want that cookie cutter style game that is so familiar. I emplore you all to expand your minds, open your opinions and stop trying to push this game into that mold. It isn’t that other MMO you hold so dear and in a few months, you’ll be whining about that too when the latest content runs out and you find yourself spending hours doing nothing but staring at the screen.

I find this game so unbelievably entertaining that I am amazed every single time I play. I just cant even begin to fathom how anyone could complain about there not being enough to do or how the game is bland with content. Ridiculous and Ludicrous!
