So my current build is a sheer survival build based off of Brutaly’s Crithammer build.
My Stats are as follows, and in the image below:
Power: 1468 Attack: 2422
Precision: 1779 Critical Chance: 45%
Toughness: 2165 Armor: 3437
Vitality: 1295 Health: 14,585 Healing power: 542

Gear: I wear full Knight’s Armor, with Precision/Vitality/Healing Power Weapons. Trinkets: Two Cleric’s earrings, Two Knight’s Rings, and A knight’s amulet.

Ok, so the main idea of this build is to survive as long as possible, and pretty much never hit the floor. It does a kitten good job of that so far, but i’m here asking any experienced Altruistic Crithammer Guardians if they see any ways to improve this build’s survivability.
A few of the changes i have been considering, are 1. somehow getting Writ of persistence so that my protection in melee range is 100% up-time. 2. Swapping my clerics Trinket’s out for more Knight’s trinkets hopefully boosting survivability via toughness and crit, (although i’m not sure how vital my 542 healing power is, or how big of a difference it makes). 3. Possibly switching the weapon as well, to Knight’s or Power/Vitality/Toughness.
As a side note, any advice on how to boost my stats as much as possible would be appreciated. I personally feel that my stats are on the low end, but can’t explain why, nor can i see the effect of it in combat, being i’m pretty darn hard to kill.

Price is fine, It’s something to work towards. If you whiners try to take everything away that there is to work towards, then we’ll end up with a boring game because some people have nothing left to do. Not everything in the game has to cater to super casuals. Kinda like everyone whining about the precursors. Seriously. Price is fine. If you don’t like it anyway and think it’s bland, don’t get it, don’t whine about it’s price. How do you think all of us who actually worked for the 115 gold to buy these sets would feel if everyone started getting them?

Here’s My Altruistic healer tank build. Works wonders for me, and i rarely down or die.
0/15/30/20/5, maximum survival traited.

Here’s my 80 norn warrioress.

I know quite a lot of basic and advanced guardian tactics, theory, synergy etc. And currently i’m trying the same combo with an altruistic healing build similiar to Brutaly’s. There seems to be some weak spots, but over all it seems like it could be viable if you traited correctly and used the sword/shield a little more situationally than the hammer. I’m still testing different sigils in it, different trait set ups, and different ways of using it.
I’m not your best bet as far as concrete facts and theory crafting goes, but if you’d like me help you with the basics of sword/sheild-hammer synergy, and show you a little bit of what i find to be the most useful traits/combos/etc. then id be glad to. Pm me here on the forums, or ingame with the same name.

My mainhand sigil is purity, so it’s not that, anyone know which traits bug it? I wanna figure this out or im’a have to salvage my ghastly shield if i want the 2G sigil back.

Can anyone tell me why my Superior Sigil of Energy in my Ghastly Shield of Energy is not refilling my endurance on swap (in combat)? Seems bugged?

Path one is still pretty much impossible. Can we get an Anet comment, what went wrong? why are 2 out of 3 paths still broken as hell? We need some way to actually get our bloody tokens for the gift, and i usually never rage at Anet for things like this, but come on. Seriously? Not well played.

Yes, thank you so bloody much for the response. lol, i have no complaints about the loot even, it’s just those two major bugs. The path 2 one is the worst because you don’t even know what you’re getting into until the very end. Good job and the wave fix today anet. +1.

You don’t even really need me tell you what it is, i’m sure you’re fully aware the between the infinite waves of trash mobs that should not be spawning after the bosses death (or maybe even in the first place, like who has that many kitten security guards?!) and the end boss of path two being so horribly bugged that it spams insta-death fields all over the place and a totally unintended rate, but not only that, the sheer amount of damage they do. Please fix all this horrible SE Trash so that those of who want to do it, can. Arah, Ac, Ta, etc. are all a cakewalk compared to this lunacy. Why is the mad king in my SE?!

So Anet is all this and all that just because each and every one of you doesn’t get exactly what you want? They took an extra step to give you another chance, it’s called gambling for a reason. Imo they shouldn’t have even bothered with this, because you all knew the risk when you bought the keys. Sad lot of kids you are…

I think it’s ok to spend alot of money IF you know what you’re getting yourself into.

I knew and capped myself off at 30 dollars to try again with 20 or so after I get paid. No luck, no problem. Personal responsibility/accountability goes a long way and it’s a shame people can’t practice both.

Yes. Titles don’t go away.

If you want to heal yourself, shouts, if you want to heal yourself and the team, banners.

I agree with Don, id go hammer over GS any day.

If you’re going into WvW don’t go glass cannon with GS. You’ll more likely want soldiers (Pow/Vit/Tough). PvP is different since the build is independent and can be different than you’re main build, and is a lot easier to change ruins/traits etc.
