Guild Wars 2

I’m from Egypt and I have the same problem, game is very laggy and no way to play like this.

my PC is older than yours, with radeon hd 5770 and the latest amd catalyst driver I get minimum of 20 fps on intense battles, and the average is 40-50, latest graphics driver has a performance improve specially for guild wars 2, it really made big difference, get it.

after the new update I’m lagging so bad, specially with big zergs in wvw I see everyone moving around me but my skills won’t cast and suddenly after a minute of they all cast at once, my internet speed is around 0.8 mbps download(supposed to be 1mb but i only get my full speed after midnight, so between 0.5 and 0.8 mbps) and 256 kb upload.
please fix it or if the new update does that to low speeds maybe add an option to lower filed of view!

In my opinion, rangers are meant to co-work with their pets, mainly depending on your weapons disregarding your pet isn’t the way this class is meant to be played, so glass cannon ranger being less powerful is just pushing the rangers towards the right direction, also switching to an overpowered class such as elementalist isn’t something I’d agree with, I prefer playing what I enjoy, trying to be powerful with it.

Lord Helmos!, that is one wonderful guide, I really enjoyed reading this, and I agree that ranger is made to be a pet master not a solo fighter, I’ve been using the same tactic, but was always weilding shortbow, after today’s update I guess it’s time for the GS to shine.
Also Sick em! and active signet of the hunt are things I never used, never knew the max range for pet to chase the target or be controlled, I’ll be following this guide, roaming in WvW.
But I have a question, you already mentioned countering thieves with GS, what about mesmers, I’ve been trying out dual axes to take down mesmers, a good mesmer is my toughest enemy, any tips on playing vs mesmers?

Ranger class is revolving around co-operating with your pet, I don’t think that removing the pet would make sense.

more power is less balance, now it’s all about your skill, only a more skilled player can beat you, if it turns into gear fight it wouldn’t be any better, I’m against this idea.

the current movement system isn’t very practical when using standard mouse/keyboard
I have to move AND cast skills with my left hand, while just targeting and moving the camera with my mouse, it’s really confusing and sometimes i need to stop moving to cast skills, I thought that I’ll get used to it but after months of playing the game it’s still annoying

solution: make an option to click to go somewhere, without turning around, so if you’re facing north and you left click somewhere behind you, you will still be facing north and will move backwards, this way my left hand would be free for casting skills, double clicking the ground somewhere would make you dodge roll to that direction, full mouse movement.

I totally agree, I actually logged on to make thread about this.
I have 1 poi missing in Malchor’s Leap and it has been like that for weeks, I’m actually starting to think it’s a bug, because there’s no where I didn’t look at.

A solution for this would be panning to the missing exploration points when i click on them in the map view(when I click on the list in the middle left that shows how many places left to explore)
