Hey, I’ve just bought 2500 dragon coffer to how many tickets im going to get, got nothing, it got heavily nerfed, I got 3 tickets from 500 coffer before.

imagine a thief with ballisik venom thief adds and the whirl, merging them will make most people use more than one elite which will screw the balance, healing skill is essential, removing it will be suicide mode, a new level of glasscanons that no one would enjoy but the glasscanons themselves.

we can change our gender, our looks.. why not our race.. lately I’m fond of the asura race, the way they run and jump, the sounds they make while fighting, and I’d really enjoying switching my character to asura, but to do that I’ll have to make a new character.. level it and buy all the gear again not to mention ascended gear and dyes, race changer in gem store would be great, please add it, and maybe wipe character’s story completion to start over with the new race!

Oh, that’s how they sell dungeon spots then, i was wondering, how can those who offer arah for 6g and AC for1.5g reach the end of the dungeon, i never got kicked from a dungeon party but I’d be really mad if this has happened to me.

So I’m looking for a long term investment instead of keeping my gold in inventory or turning it into legendary components, i can keep it as an item with increasing value and sell when i have enough assets to finish my legendary.
after taking a look at the skins from previous events that are no longer available, there are things like ghastly shield which became super expensive, other things like super greatsword and other SAB skins didn’t increase at all, it actually decreased down to 30g for GS and less for other skins.

red rose skin on the other hand is what I’m thinking it will not settle on the 10g price, nor it’s going to go down, plus there are only 160 piece in the market, the lower the amount of listed pieces get the higher the price should become, I thought the same about the wind catcher but it’s already very expensive and I’m less sure about its price going up anytime soon, anytip on saving 50ish gold for a long time? is rose skin a good choice?

after the new dungeon reward update I’m more spread around all dungeons everyday, and sometimes i mix up what dungeon i’ve done yesterday night before or after the reset, it’d be helpful if there’s any indicator that tells me that I’ve done those dungeon paths so that I don’t redo them and realize that I’ve done them today already at the end.

for the last couple of months I used to play tpvp, I was always in the mists, mainly because I’m not into my main anymore(ranger), and my mesmer was low level.
yesterday I made some gold from 5k achievement and some dyes, decided to levelup via crafting, and went all the way from 39 to 80 in one day, geared myself up and started exploring wvw as a mesmer.
my current build is
25 20 0 25 0 (Phantasm focused)
GS – S/P
Rune of Centaur x6
Berserker Set/weapons – knight accessories
Signet of domination – blink – decoy – moa morph

So, in pvp I used to feel really powerful with that build and berserker amulet, here I’m not sure yet, I want to use focus for mobility but I would miss the awesome duelist and magic bullet, any advices regarding wvw strategy/build changes from spvp?

anything that will give more leveling based reward, so i get a better reward for my 40 level than “chest every level”

not saying that im the best or anything but most are because of 5v4, people inteding to go afk after bashing their team, and people who have no clue what they’re doing but they came to see the new feature.

I liked the idea of registering from anywhere in the world, gives me a chance to level my mesmer in the time between tournaments, but when i leave a tournament it sends me to the mists not where i was in the open world, is this a bug or it’s meant to be like that, i prefer if it sent me to the normal world

I also play thief and ranger and got champion hunter title, but I mainly play mesmer.

saw a mesmer finishing me and his clone was copying him so i wouldn’t know which is the real finisher, how is that possible?

also the sword off hand phantasm is really powerful, why do I NEVER see mesmers with dual swords?

Thanks for the suggestion, I always have decoy AND blink, i combine them to totally change my location, decoy then blink behind enemy, the third one at the moment is illusion of life, with moa morph aswell always present.

my problem is, when i use portal, i hardly find the good occasion to use it, specially that I have no team, it’s always randoms and they don’t use my portal, any advice on portal usage?

simply what’s your build and what utilities do you use if you ever go to tpvp?

so far this is awesome, doing great for a newbie, and on many v many people actually give me the least target priority.

the biggest problem atm is that i have no condition removers at all, any solution or this is mesmers’ kryptonite?

when you have 3 clones/phantasms, and you summon one more, what happens to the extra one?
does it get shattered and deal damage or it just disappears

Hi, this might sound a bit nooby, but I’ve just started playing a mesmer and still learning the basics
so I have the trait that gives me one clone on every evade, sometimes i summon a clone while I already have three, does the extra ones damage enemy or they just disappear?

and I’m using zerker amulet, my traits are 30 30 0 0 10, using greatsword and sword/pistol, most my damage comes from mind wrack, opinions on build?

I play for about 4-6 hours a day, all my time is spent in the mists either hot join or tournaments, I made some friends that I sometimes went to tournaments with and it was pretty successful but nowadays many of them have disappeared, therefore I’m looking for a guild with similar interests, no WvW, nothing but pvp, TeamSpeak would be also great, my spoken english is fairly good, I don’t like stressed people who rage whenever something goes wrong, as long as you’re not one of those feel free to contact me!

there are 3 possibilities
- the leaked patch notes are fake, generated by some random guy with free time, lots of it.
- they’re the real patch notes, somehow leaked.
- they’re real, but not the final version.

first, if they’re fake, the guy should have experience in every class to make very accurate notes stating every skill’s aftercast delay which is not in the wiki, and making notes that makes sense(kind of), not buffing his fav class and nerfing everything else for the lolz.
look closer at the changes in your class, any wrong information or anything?

and there’s the possibility that they’re real, which is what I think, if they were fake we’d get official response saying so, if they’re real, they can’t say no they’re not, nor will they say that they’re real, they won’t give you anything.
so, are they real? I don’t want to wait 3 days to know

Hi, I’m sure that my computer is secure enough to let the browser remember my forum user name and password, also the client is remembering them anyway, is there anyway I can manually make the forums remember me? like making some file in cookies read only so it wouldn’t get deleted or smth

Back when I first downloaded gw2 it took me about 2 weeks, I had 512 Kbps connection and i wasn’t even getting my full speed during peak time, add to that power going off daily, downloading the client was a nightmare for me.
And today, power went off while the client was updating, I thought that that’s it, another 17+ GB download incoming, was getting ready to post a thread here about my problem, but once the repair thingy finished, it just continued from where it stopped before the power outage, either I’m lucky or you changed the way the client updates, in the second case, thanks!

So, what do I need to become a commander in wvw?
100g which is totally irrelevant to being a commander, it’s supposed to be special and for experienced wvw strategists.
so my suggestion is, give the 100g back to everyone who had commander badge, while keeping it available for sale but only visible outside wvw.
and to obtain wvw badge one would need 1000 badge of honor and 50 laurel (this can be replaced with something else more related to wvw than gold)

What I see is Tyria’s version of spartans, they’re brave and loyal soldiers even after they became ghosts they fight for Ascalon, we even trick them and fight on their side in one explorable path, even in fractals they protect their statue and we bring a shaman to destroy it and make rituals over its ruins, why the hate for Ascalonians, I love them, I don’t want to hurt them!

from the tournament win chests and the chests that I buy, aftera while out of 40 item only 3 would be new to my collection, salvaging them would be a lot easier with no confirmation window, and it won’t hurt to remove it, as 95% of pvp items are easy to obtain once you had them once.

greatsword’s #4 skill is a great counter for stealth thief, the rest is nothing special, moving around and getting your SB’s #3 ready for when you see him, followed by #5 to interrupt his next step and confuse him.

if you’re pressing the left mouse button either for running or moving the camera it doesn’t

when I press enter or change chat channel the chat box is activated, as mouse clicks doesn’t deactivate it, it can really get confusing in the middle of a fight, which happened alot, so this little feature of deactivating chat when you click somewhere else with the mouse would be very helpful

after alot of testing and switching, I finally feel comfortable with that build, i tried replacing conditional damage with power or percision, but ignoring the shortbow’s bleeding is just… wrong.

I go with undead rune, as I don’t have many healing skills, therefore less hp means more effective healing, it’s bad vs conditions, but you can’t have everything, and I get some vitality too from my jewel which is carrion.

some traits and why I chose them.
Shared Anquish Incoming disables (stun, daze, knockback, knockdown, sink, float, fear, launch) are transferred to your pet. This effect can only trigger once every 90 seconds.
this one is a good confusion, and can be a life saver too, will make your opponent target someone else, target your pet or run the other way looking for you.

Expertise Training Pets deal extra condition damage
need some data for this one, anyone can define “extra”?

Bark Skin You and your pet take 30% less damage when under 25% health
another defensive trait, I prefer those because I’m a beastmaster, more offence is a greedy option while I have a pet, therefore I chose defensives, and while running away when I’m outnumbered and dying, this one lowers the damage I take significantly.

Mighty Swap Pets gain 3 stacks of might (10s) when they are activated
while this is not a very popular trait, I benefit from it as I switch the pets whenever I can(no health regeneration for pets therefore they die fast, but that’s fine enemies almost never target pets), and I switch them every 15 sec.

Rending Attacks Drake, feline, devourer, and shark pets bleed on critical hit with their basic attacks
I use jaguar and lynx, bleeding on critical hits plus my bleeding, PLUS their other attacks that bleed, AND their massive damage, super damage.

Instinctual Bond When you are downed, your pet gains quickness
my final defence line, and it saves my kitten vs many, like 80% of the time when i get downed and my enemy has 30$ hp or less, I have enough time to get him down and revive myself with wound lick.

my all time #1 rule: you have 1,200 range on short bow for a reason, stay as far as possible, which could save you from mesmer clones, engineer turrets, necro minions and full melee players, start attacking from the max range.

I thought of switching from rampage as one to entangle, and using signet of the wild for stability, but I can’t finish when signet of the wild is active, is that intended or is it a bug, because most of the time i just use stability for finishing off opponents.

The current statistics on spvp window are kinda useless, specially for those who play one class, I prefer statistics that shows my improvement.
*win:loss ratio over time.
a graph that shows how my normal matches and tournament matches win vs loss ratio is changing over time.
*the class that I won against the most.
as some classes are more popular therefore I’ll be facing them more often, to make this more accurate make it number of kills divided by number of opponents from that class, so if I killed warriors 100 times and had warrior as opponent 50 times my warrior kill score would be 2, and if I killed engineers only 50 times and had engineer as opponent 10 times, then my engineer score would be 5, therefore the class I won against most times would be engineer, it’s just less kills because I don’t come across many.
*the class that I lost to the most.
same as class wins, only the times I died to them instead of the times I killed them, maybe give that a graph too, so a player would know that he used to lose against mesmers alot, now he’s doing better against them, but warriors kill him more often so he studies warriors strategies and tries to counter their attacks.
*average number of captures per match.
*average number of kills per match.

The idea is simply making a contest where participants design their own dream weapon, sketching, full 3d model or any type of design, the winning designs would be added to the game.

WOW, I hate to be that one but you guys don’t know how to play, my ranger is superior in 1v1, people still think that attacking the pet is a waste, while my own attacks are just used to support my pet, my role is to tank while the pet finishes my opponent off.
With so many traits that buff the pet’s offence, using them the right way can turn your pet into a serious killing machine.
Your pet can’t reach the target? 30% speed trait, crippling and stun, maybe entangle him too!
Mesmers? keep space between you and him and his shatters will be worthless
thief? greatsword #4 when he goes stealth, watch him trying to backstab you
elementalist is one build that I find hard to beat, but it’s hard to beat for ever other build aswell, so it’s not a ranger issue
seriously read some guides or play a bit more with your ranger, I’ve never been free loot, specially in 1v1, I’m unbeatable underwater 1v1 because they can’t finish me and my pet heals, and in general we’re one of the strongest builds in downed state, our pets can just keep going forever, ur pet almost dies you switch and the other pet has to survive for 15sec then u switch back.
the bad side in rangers is that they have poor condition removal and poor AoE, but you can’t have everything.
I agree that rangers could use a little tweaking, but they’re NOT underpowered.

I remember those kept rising in price until they reached 15s, now they keep dropping more and more, is it because monthly was easy and had many choices this month, or did people use them for certain thing and now they don’t anymore?

This has been going on since 20th of March, tons of lag, everything else working fine, my connection is perfect, but i lag specially at peak hour, I’m from Egypt and in Gunnar’s Hold server.
Please fix that lag, at first I thought it’s from my end, but saw many threads about the same problem, and haven’t seen any official reply, PLEASE fix that lag, the game is totally frustrating and unplayable when it’s lagging.

Today [Hot] guild from Dz went cheap, camped the top of the arena in eternal battlegrounds’ jumping puzzle, blocking people’s way, I know that jp was put inside wvw to fight while doing it, but that exact part of the jp is totally unfair, a single player can put a full team in battle mode, stand back and watch them trying to get up, which is impossible, so you attack from up there knowing that your enemy can’t reach you, is just cheap!

they killed the quickness, not the Ranger, I just dropped it, still feeling awesome being a ranger, and on the other hand cats and GS got a buff, i use both yay.

used to be a beastmaster, but now I’m strictly following this build as a catmaster, catsassination i awesome, I truely love it!
Also the advice I got here for the mesmers really helped, I just keep space, go behind obstacles and let my cat do the magic, if he chases me i keep running and blocking with GS skill #4, if he decides to attack my cat i either make it invis or attack him myself to draw his attention again, and they ALWAYS choose to attack me “the tank” over the cat :“obviously the damage” i don’t even attack I’m not a threat you fool, well he still attacks me and lets the cat take him down, also switching to entangle helps with that alot, if he can’t get out of entangle he’s dead for sure.

another question, outnumbered fights, as a ranger, what do you do?
I focus attacking on the weakest and try to dodge and keep running around, then switch pet for quickness + finish him when he’s downed, but quickness right now feels meh anyway so thinking about just dumping quickness at all!
so, advice for 1 vs team please, i like to keep SB and GS active btw, best allaround ones, replacing GS with LB when I’m in EB jumping puzzle.

I see everyone posting from SEA, I’m from Egypt and having insane lags too, can’t play with 2 sec skill delay.
