My suggestion for WvW queue problems (ie the long freakin' wait)

You can queue for all 4 maps. Just go down the list, join the line for each one and go on playing. I’ve done it before, gotten into one map, been playing and gotten notification that a slot in another map is open. What would be nice is an easy option to just join all of them at once.

Haha, yes. The FOV seems low and I was noticing how claustrophobic I was feeling playing today.

Wonder if alt+tabbing out and back in would help in the meantime?

Awful Performance (Freezes/Crashes) with Nvidia Video Cards

God, this game is making me hate my GTX 670.

First, in WvW, as we now know, most of the burden is shifted over to the cpu. My i5 3570 at 4.5 handles this very well. So well, in fact, that the stupid video card gets bored and randomly downclocks to 2d speeds. Thanks to the Nvidia “Boost” technology, the card thinks it’s not needed and slows itself down, resulting in a huge FPS drop. It’s set to Max performance, etc, in the Nvidia control panel, but that doesn’t matter.

The fix, from what I can tell, is to make the stupid card work hard by making sure reflections and super-sampling are ON, keeping it busy. Now, it would be nice to be able to maintain my max clock speed and turn at least Supersampling OFF and get the extra FPS, but I can’t do that right now.

The second issue some Nvidia 6xxx series users have is that in WvW the screen will mysteriously go black and then come back on, but again, at hugely reduced clock speeds.

1.) The cards are NOT over-heating (neither is the CPU)
2.) The drivers do NOT appear to be crashing.
