What part of the rule “you cant post screenshots or videos of hacking” do you not understand?

Lag is not an issue for west Europeans. I have been playing on FA from The Netherlands for weeks now (before that on IoJ) and have nothing to complain about lag wise.

FA’s gap is starting about 13:00 to about 21:00 gmt+2, yes there are still a few Oceanic’s playing after 13:00 and a few NA players wake up before 21:00 but the difference in coverage is very noticeable.

I myself am looking forward to T2, 24/7 battles, no more pvdoor, just awesomeness.

But my fellow Europeans, to make that happen, and more importantly, to stay there, we really need you!
Come join, and make this server even more awesome then it already is.

In any case, im happy we wont have to deal with the mag forum trolls for a week

I thought id give a little update.

Yesterday all the parts where deliverer and I put them together.

I am now running maxed out graphics in WvW with 50 fps normal fights, even higher when roaming, and it drops down to 40ish in zerg vs zerg fights.
If I drop the settings to low, fps reaches 100+

I have not overclocked anything yet.

This is a massive difference, it is so much easier to keep track of whats going on, I almost feel like I am cheating.

I consider going to 30-35fps (worst case WvW) to be a major upgrade, even tho it should be more, but thats the game’s fault :o

I am from The Netherlands btw, so i guess it also doesn’t help that I play on a NA server, lol.

I should have mentioned that i am not looking at buying another AMD, I kinda lost faith in it after the current failure.

So i will stick with the 3770K since june is to far away to wait for haswell. I am however going to take your advice on a better cpu cooler.
It will be the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2, since its supposed cool 2 degrees more for the same price as the d14 (and it looks better :P)

Also changed ram to a dual channel 2×8 G.Skill ARES 16 GB DDR3-1600 Kit (its nice and low so it should fit)

Since I am quite sick of getting 10~15fps in WvW and about 30fps in PVE, I am willing to change my current PC to Intel.

Let me start of on what I am looking to buy:

MB: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3770K
Ram: Corsair 16 GB DDR3-1600 Quad-Kit, Vengeance LP, XMP

And maybe: XFX HD7970 Double Dissipation GHz Ed. (FX-797G-TDFC)

And this is my current system:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3300 AM3
GPU: XFX 2GB D5 X HD6950
Ram: Corsair D3 8GB 1333-999 XMS

Il be using the current psu and ssd/hdd’s in the new system.

The moral problem I am having is that my current system is only 1,5years old. And I want to make sure that my new setup will give me a decent performance boost in WvW to justify its cost.

I am pretty sure that changing cpu/mb will do just that, if I am wrong, please do tell me before i buy. :P

What i am having doubts about tho is the GPU. Currently it really doesn’t matter if i run with high or low gw2 settings, the fps is the same (bf3 runs good on max settings in current pc)
So my question is: Would my current GPU be powerful enough in the new pc to run gw2 max settings?

Also, if you see anything wrong, have tips on better parts in the same price range, please do tell.
I am asking this here since I am not really uptodate about the latest and greatest, and what works best for gw2, I think some/allot of you are, or at least more informed then me.

My problem was that at the time, I was not using a sword :@

The thing with the 30sec cooldown is that zergs can still abuse it, just have people throw it one after another. Same effect, only requires a little more coordination.

Bullkitten, these items when spammed stun you more then once.

Last night I was getting spammed with it, had to use both stunbreakers, but they just keep reapplying it.
Steam was comming out of my ears, getting stunned for 30sec and being killed by some skillless player is not what I call fun.

All you idiots that say “Keep it” Obviously have not been on the receiving end of these items.

I consider it a game breaking exploit. It needs to go, yesterday.

yes, they changed that when ppl where abusing the free, no limit, transfers to hop servers and mine nodes all day.

I dunno, i feel like you guys are giving DB less credit then they deserve, i consider them an equal force, it might not be in numbers at all times, but they do have a good coverage and definitely have a great fighting spirit.

We have been hammering them, took there Overlook on EB several times, and they just keep coming back, they simply do not give up.

Whatever is gonna happen with them t3/t4 mag/kain/fa w/e no one is gonna have easy times with them.

DB has given me some great fights, and as a fairly new wvw player, i thank you for that

I got a makeover kit from a black lion chest. So i decided to change my ears, in hope it would work better with the head piece.

Ive had the light cultural for a while now, solution is simple. Dont buy the shoulders, save 20gold.

I started to notice that I did not get allot of boons as of late, so I have been paying more attention as to why.
Turns out that chaos armor is broken.

I knew that it always gives protection as a first boon if you use the direct staff skill, but after that, there is nothing.

Combo fields give chaos armor as well, but that does absolutely nothing, other then a shiny bubble effect (and even that does not always show)

The only time I get a boon (protection) is when I use the chaos armor staff skill direct, the other boons come from the chaos storm and time warp, swiftness and regen never pop

It does not matter if I am in battle or not.

I worked my kitten of for the bifrost, and its really cool (apart from it having no different attack skills). But i can only use it on my mesmer :/

I dont want it in a short time, i dont mind farming at all.
But there is a limit on what someone cant take. and 13+ weeks of mindless farming for only a small piece of the recipe is not acceptable.

Besides, they said, that those who dont have time would be able to buy, however gems or unreasonably high priced.

everyone should be able to do in there way, using a tp tricks should not be the only way

Its one big bug, annoying the hell out of me.

Its awesome for 25% and i absolutely hate it for 75%. yet i try to be optimistic and try to find the joy in the 25%, but its not really working so far….

The simple fact that this game now feels like work instead of a game is almost making me punch holes in my screen.

Farming is impossible, even after your fake “we relaxed dr” patch, you just steadied out the droprate, yet all drops are crap. Was that supposed to make us feel better?

Even if one was able to farm 30G a week it it would still take at least 13weeks to just get a 400g legendary precursor, having to sell every mat you find, that you actually need for the other gifts. And most likely, the price of the precursors are probably 900+ gold by then anyway. And that being the only real thing you can do as a level 80, what is the point in playing?

PVP makes me so bored i practaly fall asleep when i look and the “enter the mist button”
WVW has to many hackers and bugs in them, characters not loading, low fps all that

You kittened up the game, and right now, i genuinely hate you for that…

What you need to do to fix this kitten is:
Delete your piece of kitten DR mechanic, make it so that ppl can buy 100g for 100 euro, or dollars or whatever. And cap the precursors (max sell for 150g or something). or make them craftable.
higher droprate in the forge would do good also.
Moar content! give lvl 80´s something to do apart from farming for a legendary!

In short, go make me not hate you! cause i dont want to, i want to have fun!

It seems to glitch happen when i preview stuff.

And i suspect you have no idea what you are talking about.

For 1, Dusk, the 150g greatsword, is NOT a legendary, but just a small piece of the recipe to craft one.

And this topic was not created with the intent of whining about not getting a legendary within a week. Nor was it created for kittens who like to tell others what to do with there time.

Its about DR and Time played vs the rewards you get out of it.
Its about there not being any endgame content other then getting a legendary, its about orr being the only worthy lvl80 place and it having only 1 type of mob.
(and then there is the bugged events…)

Its about not wanting the fun to end (already has) discussing the fact that this is supposed to be a no grind game, but since the DR patch, more grinding is needed for achieving the same goal.

And yes, they said that grinding would not be needed to play this game, but nowhere did they say that they would make it impossible to do just that.

IMHO disabling the mail system permanently would have been a far better option then this whole DR system, and then they could focus on bugs, optimization and new content.

Sam, i have a full t3 gear set because my 3 week Vacation started right after game release and i had allot of time to kill.

I really do wonder why the whole player base has to be punished for a few bots, surely there are better ways of banning them.

And thats just awesome, cause i currently have only 3 days a week that i can really play (farm). And after just an hour of farming in orr i am getting screwed with DR… :@
How is that fair? Dusk is on the kitten TP for 150gold! Do you want me to buy gold from the bots or something? Cause i am sure as hell not spending my money on gems unless they go down in price, allot.

You get rid of bots by making gems so cheap that its no longer worth for them to bot. Now you are just screwing your playerbase.

I am rather annoyed and bored with this game right now, witch is really ashame, its been a great start, but after getting a full t3 cultural gear set, and doing world completion, now what am i supposed to do?
Dont like pvp, cant play wvw cause obviously you dont like my amd cpu, wont do dungeons cause i keep getting the permanent dr bug, cant even dream of affording a legendary… :@

Did it in about 30min killing everything in our path.
I was with my mesmer, rest of the party was 3 warriors 1 guardian (all lvl 80)

I got 45 tokens and 19 silver while the rest of the party got 60 tokens and more silver

I did not run any dungeon for the past 3 days.

This is about my female mesmer, wearing t3 light armor.

Both the Sword and the Greatsword clip into the ground, and into the skirt.

The right hand holding the Greatsword doesn’t look right.

The Sword has no effects? for 63k karma i would have expected the same plasma ish glow like on the Greatsword :/ Fixed

The helmet and chest piece sometimes glitch, not showing any color/black ( i do not have a screenshot of that, it does not happen much) The chest piece glitches when i go under water, every time.

Why are the shoulders 20 gold when they are always hidden because of the chest piece?

I spend allot of hours grinding for this gear, and id like it to be perfect to justify its cost.

(what did it cost you ask? 99 gold without the shoulders + transmuting it with exotics and then 63k karma per weapon + runes and sigils :o )

Every city (and also pvp and wvw area’s) have a gate to Lions Arch (LA) and LA has portals to every city.

Crossair xms3 ddr3 8gb (2x 4gb)
Win 7

And im getting 8-10 fps on high or low settings in wvw, its allot better in pve (30-40 ish).
My G19 tells me the CPU isnt even running at half speed.
Could anyone give me tips on what to buy or change to make my fps go up a little in wvw ? Because its just unplayable right now

I am having this “losing items” bug also with my asuran mesmer. Ofcourse not in your personal story, but anywhere in the map

I was working on world completion, and some quests require you to pick up stuff and it would just randomly drop all the time.
1 quests that sticks out in this was the one in Timberline falls “Help the Priory’s excavation (57)”
Because in the server isle of janthir, the golems i needed to help where bugged out, the only thing i could do was put weapons in chests, however 75% of the time i would never make it to a chest, the item just disappeared from my hands.

Cultural gear is da best :P

Here’s my lil asura Mesmer with the T3 cultural light armor (everything except for the shoulders, they dont show, so they are not worth 20g)

The Greatsword and the Sword are T3 cultural as well, currently saving up for the focus.

All items are transmuted with exotics ofcourse
