This build is okay if you’re the third or forth warrior in a group.
Your team loses a significant amount of damage if you’re the only Warrior in your group and not bringing Empower Allies and banners.

Empowered Allies is terrible and too crippling for the warrior to justify using it. I’ve done it for one occasion ever and it was completely pointless and I’m ashamed for having used it. Everyone that makes a big deal about using it doesn’t know much about warriors and is just whining for the sake of whining.

As for the OP’s build, good traits but bad offhand and should be using a banner in groups. Don’t bother with two banners unless you have help from someone in the group carrying one of them… otherwise it’s obviously never worth it.

I don’t like any other offhand, i do have a sword which i use in certain situations for the block, but otherwise the fury is good on OH axe and the Axe #5 is pretty good in light fields. I am not ususally the only warrior in the party but if i am I retrait to 6/4/0/4/0 For EA and 100% banner uptime

Empowered Allies is a huge boost to overall team DPS when using FGS. If you’re doing a record type speed run and your plan is to melt bosses with FGS and Ice Bows your warrior needs to be using EA.

Reasoning: EA is something like a 4% team DPS boost at the cost of like 10% of the warrior’s personal dps. In normal conditions (when everyone in the party is ding between 10-14k dps) it works out to be a 2-3% dps gain for your party. Nothing so major that you would care in a casual run.

However, when using FGS, it is a gigantic increase in overall DPS.

Warrior without EA = 12kdps With EA = 10,800 = -1,200 dps

Ele using FGS = 36kdps With EA = 37,800 = +1800 dps
Ele #2 using FGS = 36k dps with ea = 37800 = +1800 dps
thief using FGS = 39k dps with ea = 40,950 = +1950 dps
Guardian using FGS = 33k dps with ea = 34,650 = 1650 dps

So when using FGS and EA the part gains a net of 6,000dps which is basically like having half of a second warrior. In percentage terms, its the same, but in nominal terms its a rather enormous gain and matters a lot.

Didn’t consider that, yeah that is kind of a big loss, although i usually take the FGS and with 100% crit chance it seems like a hige damage boost compared to a thief

I guess I was misinformed. What should the traits be without Empower Allies (assuming you’re the only Warrior). I’m assuming the 6/5/0/0/3 even when using the all Greatsword build or 6/6/0/0/2

6/6/0/0/2 is very bad, u dont need signet mastery, or anything in that line, the only reason u go 3 into that line is to get fast hands. 6/6/0/2/0 is better as u have 2 second downtime on banners with that build

Mini’s work as the #6 bonus, as said in the video! so its a 3% damage loss to scholar but i’m never above 90%

Can you guys tell me what you think of this build? Are there any other better roaming builds, this has been working great in the front line for me.

I’d like to join the TTS, i need to kill teq to get karma! for my legendary!

So every so often, increasingly faster every time. I get a black screen! it completely makes me restart the game and makes it unplayable. If im in a dungeon it blackscreens and i get kicked since it takes like 5 minutes to get back in. Anyone know how to fix it? (Note** I have tried a lot of things, they havnt worked)

Personally I’m going to test a new triple stab glamor build, which will hopefully get me some bags while doing mesmerly stuff. How are other WvW oriented mesmers preparing for the season?

My main is a mesmer, who commands a lot on my server. I am current running a ptv build. I have pretty low damage but I never die it’s so awesome. 30/0/20/20/0 again all ptv traits. I use the mantra heal because it has a 10 second cool down, emo w’s 3 conditions and heals for 11,000! Utilities are blink, decoy and portal/the stability mantra. Hit me up ingame if u wanna learn about it, If u wanna go full tank and never die like me it’s so fun!

a thousand times this! i really really would like to know how to do Arah runs! I will be patient and listen to what needs to be done. Even as a newcomer, i would like to get through it as quickly as a vet would. I will even work on builds to do these runs. If its okay, i would like to join this guild to learn then do regularly.

Oh thankyou! I saw a video with an asura wilding twilight who had big footsteps but it was a long time ago, so I just figured it would be patched. Also someone in game told me my sunrise footsteps would look tiny, and showed me something in comparison which upset me. Picture would be appreciated by anyone, since I have no recent proof and people go against it being the same size, e.g it could be the same for incenerator only ):

So in about a month it two I’ll have finished sunrise. I have an asura mesmer and a norn guardian, I am contemplating which one to put it on. My main is the mesmer, but would I have tiny specks for footsteps? Because on my norn I wouldn’t worry about that but he isn’t my main. So, do legendary asura footsteps scale and become tiny? And can anyone link pictures compared to a norn? Thanks!
