4 Power, sure, is pointless compared to 20% Magic Find. However 5 Agony Resistance trumps 20% Magic Find.
you’re assuming that everyone plays fractals?
The OP specifically mentions MF use in dungeons. FotM is a dungeon that requires AR.
Fractals are not “dungeons”. They do not count for daily/monthly dungeon completion. They have Agony, dungeons do not. Fractals are fractals, which are not dungeons. I would say they are dungeon-like.
For now DR is hitting parked characters who you don’t do anything else with but that specific thing. To avoid being hit by this, whether it is intentional functionality or a bug, do some other stuff on that character.
I wish we didn’t have to have the system, but when exploits arise players abuse them, so we have to have something. We’ll continue to evaluate its functionality and fine tune it.Would it be at all possible to have some sort of visual “DR indicator” in play? It’d be nice to know if DR was in effect, as opposed to just getting randomly bad RNG pulls.
It’s absolutely possible. This “feature” was in GW1 and I saw it myself a couple of times. I specifically remember practicing with my warrior and while killing Grand Drakes repeatedly, I had a message that popped up that basically told me that I was hitting DR. I don’t remember what it said, but it warned me that I needed to do something else for a bit.
I wonder when MF is used to determine drops. Could it be on kill or when you search corpse for loot… If it’s the latter then you can just swap to it after and not have any impact on the group.
It’s well-known that it is applied on kill, not when you press “F”. This has been stated by Devs on this forum.
This means that you can’t use your power gear to kill something, then switch to MF gear to get better loot. It’s designed that way.
I think you’re all missing the point of the Fractal boxes.
They are 20-slot bags that are basically free! And do you really need to save 20 slots for exotics that you might pick up while adventuring? If so add me to your party, as I’d like to join in!
I’ve received about 20 of these chests so far and all have acted as stated in the patch notes. Each has contained a green item or higher.
Make “auto loot” do just that so we don’t wear out 2 million “F” keys
what happens when I don’t autoloot? Shaking my head.
Let’s say an enemy dropped a sword and a staff. If you have auto loot enabled, you hit F and you pick both of them up. If you have auto loot disabled, a little window will pop up showing the sword and the staff and you can click on whichever one(s) you want to pick up.
I’m confused. Are you saying that you regularly leave loot on the ground? WHY??
No. The loot is still determined normally – based on your MF and whatnot. With that said, if you happen to get a green drop or above, it will come packaged in a nice little “Wooden Chest” (actual name) instead of the sparkly stuff around the corpse. Open the chest and grab your (predetermined before you open it) loot.
Yep, got a Lodestone in Frostgorge from a Colossus. Wooden Chest.
but as a engineer, that doesn’t matter as much (jump shot
