Doesn’t work for anyone. Not sure if bug, or new change. We haven’t heard anything from Anet about it.

Been using a similar build except with Elixir U and Rocket boots instead of net turret for more cc removal and extra burn through rocket kick. Really is quite nice damage with some CC and escapability.

Currently loving the synergy between the escapes/cc of Rifle+Rocket boots. With flamethrower you’ve got reliable access to burn through incendiary ammo and burn with rocket kick. Land all those with a rifle rotation and you’ve just shelled out some pretty scary damage.

Put in deathmatch for the sole purpose of letting all the people who actually want to play strategic point cap play together.
That alone is reason enough.

Anet will get concrete, useful information from data mining stats first, then compare that with what’s being reported by players like any competent company would. I think your fear for the game’s future based solely on player opinions is without warrant.

The only problem I have with Mesmers is the damage their clones/phantoms/illusions or whatever are capable of. I can spot the real one fine and focus him down, but there’s no need for the ridiculous damage their AI is capable of. I thought they were illusions, you know, things to confuse you, not a literal physical clone that can damage the hell out of you.

^ Ignore the tryhards above.
Just hang in there. As time goes on sPvP is only going to get more competitive and tougher to keep up with for various reasons; 1) As you accumulate more Glory you’re going to be paired with people who have similar amounts 2) Many people will get better over time, the disenchanted will leave, and eventually the hardcore population will outnumber the rest.
My suggestion is to get better now before the going gets even more tough. Find a build, more importantly find a role you enjoy and can be successful with. There are other things to do other than run around with the highest burst you can build, which seems to be what most people are doing. You’re going to get wrecked far more often than you wreck anyone else.
You’re dead on with it being a zerg fest though, at least in hotjoin. Things are random and actual team coordination is pretty rare, so find a class, build, and a role that can manage in that environment. You’re certainly not going to get anywhere with a spec that requires coordination of a team.

Good to know, as I’ve been saving up for it. Maybe now I won’t, at least until it’s fixed/changed/working as intended. .. Why do I seem to say that about Engineer so often? Hmmmmmm.
Maybe in the mean time I’ll get the Charzooka, just for giggles.

Bomb kit just seems to be a “fun” thing to use when the actual useful stuff gets a little boring. Sad but true. Aside from the obviously useful BoB, everything else about the kit screams kitten.

They really need to fix these glaringly broken issues, or at least actually explain what the correct usage is. Forget about class balance until you actually fix what was originally intended to work, and doesn’t.

The medkit is meant to be swapped to frequently on the fly in tandem with what ever else you’re doing; that’s why it isn’t too popular with many people. People don’t like to switch to things they feel are useless at the given moment, but the low cooldowns on medkit practically call for repeated swaps.
I’ve used it that way on and off for a while, but the amount of effort required far outweighs the gain and it just isn’t for me. You can keep yourself healed up pretty well, but there’s no sense in doing it if you can just stack regen instead.

Yup, sadly realized this myself yesterday. Was incredibly disappointed. Why in the hell wouldn’t it work by switching from a kit? Has to be a bug.

Fantastic information and presentation. I was planning on doing something like this myself, just haven’t had the time (Or able to get away from the game enough).
Superb!

This is something we want to fix as soon as possible. Thanks for bringing it some attention. If it was simple we would have done it already, but we are working on it.

Great to hear.
Right now, some on the fly weapon/kit combos are nearly impossible because of this. You will totally drain your DPS or screw up a skill chain if you swap kits, which Engineers are pretty much supposed to do. It’s quite breaking.

No need to put down the guy, but I do agree I like how they work as is. They require crafty finger work and scale with your own ability to use them. That’ll separate the top par grenadiers from the rest. It’s quite fun in WvW spotting those differences.

Funnily enough I just replaced the closed pump liquid cooling in my system a few days ago. You’re absolutely right about GW2 being able to get your system temps up fairly high. The pump died in my cooling unit however, but I replaced it.

Yeah no, the crafting doesn’t need to be any easier than it already is. What are you expecting OP? This is an MMO, it by and large is already a time sink. Do you have any idea how many people are at 400 crafting already? I think instead of putting down the system, you need to reconsider how you’ve managed your mats and what you chose to craft.

Take your Break Stun + Condition Removal skills, find Thief, make him cry.
All you need is a bit of reflexes, and you can render most Thief builds moot. It is incredibly satisfying to see them waste their burst on you then turn tail or stand there while you unload on them without even realizing they did nothing to you.
