To be fair, we had some great fights in Bay, we actually hopped to EB cause we changed commanders and thought we might have some fun on EB. If you ever see us on a map / disappear from a map and want to fight just give us a whisper

It was fine for us we where only there for another 30mins after all RK can only be active for 3-4 hours a night because we are still a small guild. Very active, but no numbers to stay active for long.

Now i will ignore offski for now because every guild have blowhards with little sens who can’t see the bigger picture of a fight.

The two best fights was the fight in between bay and garri when we where staring one another down for a bit to see who did what. I was trying to get you to charge us, but in the end our vale faint worked.

The other fight is when we went inside BAY with your forces on the Bridge and took the top of the walls. You sent +10 around back to flank.

My plan was to let your 10 get closer, charge them in a faint and then come plug op the stairs and it worked, but you where to many. At least we manged to down a ton of yours so it was all good.

Though you say we outnumbered you 2 to 1 is even far from the truth.
Since you weren’t the only one counting. You guys had roughly 33 people in that group, couldn’t count them correctly since you had people skirmishing back and forward.

We had two groups of around 18-20 IRON tags, with 1 of the groups having 1 HIRE person with them.

So we roughly had 38 players on the fights with you. Now 5 extra players make a difference, specially in organized fights. But it wasn’t a 2:1.

I enjoyed the fights and you guys did give us a bit of pressure.
But saying you downed quite a lot of us, mabey – mabey not.

From my perspective in the “wallfight” ,were we had 10 players (which were 15+ actually) go to your back and distract you, we had 7 downed players including me, which 2 of them got stomped of (not me).

This is by no means any sort of elitism, just telling what I saw in that certain fight.

Mabey we indeed should get an real even number organized fight going, like offski suggest.

RK was running supply and making sure the standing force at Bay of maybe 20-25 was well-watered, so to speak. IRON would charge when RK was out of sight, then we’d try to time their appearance to catch you in a pincer.

There was some very good back and forth. I’m not afraid to admit that we wiped a couple of times, and I saw RK very bravely take on your full zerg with their paltry 15-man squad. Obviously, they would wipe, but they would give your forces enough pause for the MERC group to catch their breath.

But you also should not conveniently forget that we won some battles while at a disadvantage. One particular push I counted no more than 20 of us on at least 35 of you and it showed in how long it took to down all of you guys. Good trades, good back and forth and really props and kudos all around. BG BL Bay was the place to be last night.

after the bay fights we went into hills with 20 people. the enemy was standing on their walls even though they outnumbered us. They only charged us once they got reinforced and were roughly 60 vs our 20.

So it seems the other servers are experiencing what SoR had to deal with since day 1 in Teir1… did we fall out of Tier 1 or did we keep fighting? We get 1 guild and turn the tables, just goes to show the Quality over Quantity we have over here. Stop whining on the forums and get in there and fight!

Especially BG, you guys were mocking SoR since you got your first “Gold” now we are going to be tied. But we have more Silvers…….Medal wise we will be better (This was your form (BG) of measurement months back, remember) unless you do something about this impending win….
wait BG will just absorb more guilds (what server can they absorb because apparently even 6 guilds can’t help) and then steamroll all the lower tier servers going forward for their false sense of “Champs”.
BTW I had no idea about the rivalry with BG, then I saw how all of these guilds flocked to you and then disappeared, yet you guys kept whining. Out of all the T1 servers you got the most guilds, what have you done with them? Each month I hear more and more whining when the “Grab all the Guilds” plan fails. Build your own guilds from Blackgate, consolidate the Guilds that fell apart and want to stay, into one guild. Just do something instead of crying.

Anyhow good luck in the future (I hope a lower Tier doesn’t wipe you too soon, that would just be an ego boost to them, I do actually want to fight BG in the future, I need to get my second legendary, couldn’t get the first without the loot bags!)

Much respect for JQ, you guys have always proved why you have the most medals and long standing T1 community. So go out fighting and don’t whine about coverage please. You guys used to have a monster force on coverage which was a challenge to face. We understand the fair weather types and perhaps they got spoiled with the hardwork some of your guilds put in for #1. Now your down (but not out) and by whining here your giving the PUGS a reason not to show up, when you need them more than ever at this point to field numbers. May seem like a bit of JQ love, but hell JQ earned my respect:)

SoR keep fighting the fight, we have a huge shadow laid before us in the form of JQ to overcome. Too much ego will make us fall, not enough will make us stagnate. Remember where the server roots came from and where we are at now. No matter the odds we are here to fight!

this isn’t about coverage or winning or losing, it’s about a shoddy game design that doesn’t encourage balanced gameplay. SOR will start bleeding players shortly due to boredom, can you not see a pattern here? – It’s all because ANET allow servers to stack and then dominate WvW. Remember what happened to HOD, SOS, the list goes on.

This is getting to be outright stupid now. SoR isn’t winning because of IRON. SoR was a strong server to begin with or they wouldn’t have been in T1. Period.
IRON simply gave SoR a needed edge.
The players and guilds on SoR are working very hard to win so you should really “blame” the SoR community as a whole for winning. IRON had a part in it, yes, but we’re far from being the sole reason for SoR being victorious.

Iron is simply filling a time slot where YOU previously PvD’d everything. That’s most likely the reason to your whining here on the forums. We cancelled your karma trains.

But seriously, this whining on the forums is pathetic. Get in game and fight us in-staid of waging war on the forums and we might have more of a problem steam rolling you.

Everytime i see a VS trolling, taunting or saying ingame (dont generalise i saw this one time) “we are recovering our true lvl” i find it sad. You get most of your points off us in mornings and day time where we are usually outnumbered, but thats ok because sfr are doing it. God forbid the outcry from sfr if deso got points at these times.

That’s the real meta, get with the times. Viz won like that, Deso won like that, Blacktide won like that, etc etc.. and atm it’s SFR winning like that.

About what you said earlier, you lost numbers. Yes, exactly because they logged after getting wiped. What came across that bridge on hills was everyone on Deso zone at that time (a queued zone), 40+spearhead and a second wave of 50-60 which flanked out of lord room.
sIN+us+those who wanted to follow sIN tag were the counter to that blobb on the bridge.

most people logged because reset was one hour later than normal. so the force we had at reset was substantially smaller than normal. and as for that fight the 40+ “spearhead” (lol) would have been enough to tie the numbers

That was to counter the IRON blob and SFR won. IRON left the zone to help out other zones on that reset night relatively quick (don’t like your own medicine?). Besides how can RG+sIN+pugs be bigger then what Deso or Viz brings to the table, when you got everyone and their mother on your tail, actively asking pugs and other guilds to follow? There’s a zone cap.

RG isn’t interested in blobbing up and is actively telling pugs to get on the commanders and respect the guild raid. Just like I respect another guild’s raid, I expect this from everyone on the server. We don’t need randoms following us, basically nullifying any effort by dying, because they can’t follow our movements (they aren’t on comms, they are bad, many reasons).
I can’t deny we sometimes clash into a pug commander from SFR, because we run untagged.

Number #1 to blame is ANet.
They failed to deliver a suited engine that can handle massive fights. They failed to have a proper network enviroment. They failed with map design (they need to be 5x larger, with same amount of objectives and no waypoints as a basic fix; the middle of the map should have a mechanic like the orb which also needs perma protection to keep buffs active, maybe emphasize on small scale in that area by adding 5-10 minor objectives which need to be held).

Number #2 to blame are the players.
Mentality has changed over the years. No more fights for the fun, only for the kitten (avoiding fights I can’t win; only attacking when I get the jump and/or have superior numbers). Servers playing only for the “win”, a win without benefits (yes, you are green next week, nice), a win in an uncompetitive enviroment (GW2 will never go esports, regardless what the devs think, in it’s current state and for the foreseeable future. GW2 wvw is won based only on coverage).

there’s no teaming up, I can promise you that. if you got pushed out of eb it was simply because you were the weakest force at the time and pushing your towers was easier. It’s happened to us to before as well as to visuna. no point in crying over it. man up and get back in there.

The reason your outmanned on 2 or more maps is because you go around in one huge zone force map swapping. If you split you would have people on those map. We also get outmanned buffs but we dont collect everyone thats in WvW and map swap with one huge force.

after the mass commanders lost problem, the people who do not listen to commanders since the patch (like you SFR) now we have the very worrying DDoS problem. Since 3 days, at the same hours, TS VS down, someone take control of moderator and random ban people, then backup TS down too, and now many TS of guilds DDOsed too… i’m very sad of this. Of course i don’t know who do this, one night i saw some french people insulting and trashing on maps then it crashed just after, dunno if it’s linked.

Guilds gave their TS to help, but now DDosers attack them. 5-6 TS of guilds down in the same time…

I feel ya. our TS server have been the target for DDOS attacks several times over the last few weeks. even had a DDOS take down TS server provider and knock the entire company offline for a couple of hours. it happens mate. all you can do is hunker down and push past the obstacle.

about the amount of people playing wvw on each server. I dunno how long your queues are on sfr, but on deso we only have queues during primetime and it’s mostly 5-10 min. if it ever gets to 20 min we get mad rage on TS. And it’s mostly just one BL and EB so you can almost always get into wvw and play while you wait for the queue to pop for the other BL.
Yes Desolation is shown as full on the server list. we almost always have an overflow in lions arch. Overflow in frostgorge half the day. 4-5 pve commanders running around in orr with zergs doing events.
people saying that it’s a made up statement that desolation is mostly pve don’t really know what they’re talking about.
yes atm we have a bit more people in wvw than we usually do. this is because when we’re doing good in wvw, the people that almost never play wvw gets in. when we’re doing worse, we’re pretty much outmanned everywhere, all the time.

We desperately need an influx of off peak hour guilds. As you must have seen by now, we’re outmanned pretty much the entire span of the normal work day when people are at work/in school and you can pvd most everything we’ve got. It sucks, but we’ve grown used to it.

when were inside hills, putting up catas at the south supply depot and sin and rg sandwiched us on the south bridge, we had mad lag yes. couldn’t even pop stability and when trying to dodge through your initial onslaught I kept rubberbanding back lol. was awful :P

though it was very frustrating for us that rg, sin, rnv and opt all were on your border, making life hard for us, I have to commend you all for your excellent response times and organization. People can say what they want about sfr, but you show time and time again why you’re the #1 EU server right now.

Sacxr is right. VS are plainly bad and we just like to wipe them here and there. They are not a challenge if the numbers are not 1vs 5 in their favour. And yes they have one good quality,they always come.
To be honest desolation are fun but IRON.. their idea of play is we drop 70 people get the map in queue and blob it is not fun but works for them even number we win vs them. Honestly piken with hob Rg Sin on the server were way more fun and competative to fight.

if sfr don’t start realizing pretty soon that vs is the biggest threat they won’t win this round. the rg/sin blob, opt etc are all focusing deso atm and pretty much leaving vs alone. come monday vs are going to start pulling ahead and sfr are gonna need as big a head start on points they can get and this is not the way to do it tbh. but either way, we take it as a compliment

who cares what other people think? once we’ve gotten rid of all the drama queens and people not committed to wvw we can start focusing on the gvg team. we’ll let people know. and I’m sure rg will transfer to whatever server they need to transfer to if they really wanna gvg vs us. server loyalty has never been their forte and when the time comes they’ll be off sfr faster than a fart in a windstorm.

This is just no fun to play vs. 70 – 90 Desolation guys at every turn insane skill delay. what happened to guilds running alone for the glorious kills. Isit still a win at all costs attitude lets have some good fights not this mass blobbing you cant fire off anything it just becomes more about who can hit 1 on the skill bar hardest. I would say good fights but its really not i think GvG at the moment is the only enjoyment you can get and skillfull play where you can actually use all of your abilities without any hassle. just throwing this out there. have no problems when fighting RG, ZD’s or any other guild. the fights are good and tough and I enjoy it every time. But when MoS comes all of a sudden there’s insane lag. 10-20 second skill lag. fps drops to 6 (SIX!). You can’t hardly move at all. This ONLY ever happens when facing MoS. How is that?
Talked to a friend in RG and they have the exact same problem, with MoS that is.
