Whoa, how long did it take you to find the absolutely worst players in GW2 to fight against? They basically stand there and wait for the kill or smash buttons without hitting anyone of your team (some of the are even upleveled).
I would like to see your party against more skilled opponents (video quality is fine).
Pretty sure those aren’t the worst players in guild wars, and theres also only like 1 upleveled in the entire video. Yeah if I could find more skillful people to fight it’d make me happy too
Nice video , but that ele at the end, you spawn killed him like 10 times in a row lol .
yeah, well he kept coming back! :P +A full zerk ele like that can inflict a lot of damage if you don’t handle them quickly.
Hmm, just a few things for the video itself, its worth getting familiar with some good editing programs (After effects, sony vegas pro, etc, etc) and make yourself a nice intro and ending, just comes across a bit nicer and is useful if you plan on making more videos in the future.
Also, id recommend covering the chat box, a simple picture of maybe your character/logo/name etc works fine, lets face it, nobody wants to read your chat and I’m sure there are people who would rather their names/what they say appear.
I can’t really give you any tips on your playing, I haven’t played thief in quite a while~
Yeah I’m planning on a bit better editing for the next vid, this was my first vid haha
The gameplay is good though, so I hope you guys enjoy
lol it’s alright I learned to live with it xD
Just some clips of outnumbered fights taken after the ferocity patch. Please comment on what you think could be improved, and what you liked about the video. This is our first video so there’s always room for improvement, and subscribe for more
Also, I’d be happy to answer any questions you have, so feel free to ask them here or in the youtube comments section!

What is better than hanging out with Anet Devs on Easter?
And Remember, The Floor Is Lava
Note: After an hour of hard work and dedication, the glitch has been fixed (I think) and the innocent bystanders have been saved.
Just give people with duplicate legendaries the abillity to select a new legendary to be bound to them of equal or less value(So no swapping a quip for an eternity). That way, the market isn’t flooded with legendaries and those that think spending all that hardwork and time was worth the abillity to change stats, they can just select the same legendary and nothing will have changed. This also prevents many people from getting 1-3k gold and messing with the “Gw2 economy”. Sounds reasonable to me at least.
Hi, from this point onwards, if you want to reply, please understand the topic of this thread. The original title was changed, but if you want to know the problem here, it is to the people who have duplicate legendaries and felt the wardrobe system is unfair.
If you want to comment on the BiS system, please DO NOT. We are talking about one legendary holders having unlimited amounts of that skin. Therefore making one incinerator holder appear to have two, while original dual incinerator holders feel like their second incinerator (obviously made for looks) is devalued as they worked much harder for the second.
If you are a person with one or no legendaries, please refrain from bashing people with multiple legendaries. If you have only one legendary of each type, great, but us duplicate holders feel that it shouldn’t be an unfair approach towards this when one incinerator holder can wield two of the same skin.
The thread might have started like that, but that’s because it left out that the person with 2 of the same legendary still has BiS even if another tier is added later, and switchable stats, while someone with just 1 and skins does not have this. YOU might now have made a 2nd of the same legendary for the BiS and switchable stats, but it doesn’t give you the right to act like EVERYONE with 2 of the same feels that this is unfair.
Pretty sure that a lot of us players with 2 of the same feel cheated, so he speaks for the majority of us. I’m pretty sure that had we known this patch was coming, we would have definately saved the gold or spent it on other things. The entire purpose of a legendary to many of us is the skin, the abillity to switch the stats and always be best in slot is just an added bonus, and that added bonus alone is NOT worth the gold we spent on the 2nd legendary. Why hasn’t anet commented on this yet? Seems like a large number of players are upset over this issue.
This is so dumb. Just make the items accountbound instead of giving every1 with one legendary an infinite supply of skins for it. People with only one legendary are excited for this, but people with duplicate legendaries would be equally excited as long as we recieved some sort of compensation for our hard work, time, and effort into this game. If Anet doesn’t do anything about it, I think it will show us all alot about what they really value. Players that put work into getting duplicate legendaries SHOULD be compensated for it. Its just the right thing to do.

Made 2 incinerators…… What is the point of that if I could have just made one and saved myself like ~2,000 gold(Just a guess)? I’m sorry but ascended stats and the abillity to change the stats whenever I want is not worth ~2,000 gold Arena-Net. People with duplicate legendaries better be getting something out of this that is worth while. I’d be happy with a refund or the abillity to choose a new legendary of equal or less value. Otherwise, congrats anet, time to quit for TESO like a lot of people probably will, I’ve wasted enough time here. Fairly sure that I’m not the only player concerned about this, some developer input might be good right about now before too many of us rage.

“P/D would probably have the hardest job fighting D/P.” <—-Too lazy to use quote block
Impact I was disagreeing with you saying p/d would have a harder time than d/d. p/d is not 100% melee like most d/d builds, and therfore you have an easier ranged blind clear. I still said that d/p outmatched both bc of the stealth advantage. Not sure why that confused you, perhaps I worded it wrong?
This post had me going for a bit lol
P/D would probably have the hardest job fighting D/P. For D/D it would come down to who lands their skill first – their cloak and dagger or your shadow strike.
I’d probably disagree, blinds are much more effective against the nearly 100% melee d/d thieves (100% minus the almost useless 4 “dancing dagger”). P/d can clear blinds from range and gain distance from u just as fast as u can close it. Either way, d/p can outstealth both giving you a huge advantage in 1v1 situations. Don’t restrict yourself to d/p though just because we said it on here, try out everything and play what you like. D/p felt way too slow to me, and also very prone to interupts. I liked the d/d playstyle more and went with it, so try everything and find what u like.
Dat signiture doggie XD I think I need to make one of them…
But why not just increase the damage, range and add imobilize to the skill and remove/reduce the bounce? What if the first hit imobilized, and the bounce crippled? p/d already has an imobilize so it won’t affect that much, s/d does have one with infiltrators strike, but this would be at an increased range(Give us an attack bigger than a 900 range -__- ) as well as a cripple, and d/d would be really happy to see this change, but at the same time I dont feel that it would overpower any offhand dagger builds. It would make the skill viable to use, but I would be strongly against increasing the initiative cost as it is pretty useful to throw and break aegis or remove blind. At the current moment that’s all it is… 3 init for a ranged aegis break or ranged blind clear…
I also wish I could practice somehow… but the bad thing is, if you get killed, you can’t just fight them again. So practicing is nearly impossible.
Any tips? Suggestions? Or maybe confessions about secret D/D-special-forces-trainingscamps happening recently? ;P
Duel some thieves in Obsidian Sanctum. Honestly tho, if you want a fight that would help prepare you against thieves while out in the borderlands, try it. Imo it’s better than spvp IF you are preparing for WvW battles, just because spvp really isnt similar enough and it is a totally different playstyle (+If you find any good d/d thieves in spvp lemme know :P )
What would P/D do with a gap closer? Follow it up with #3? For #4 #3 #4 #3 lol blink?
Shadow Strike is a very powerful dual skill for p/d crit thieves. The concept is to use it, after it ports you away it will deal pretty good damage, then by stealing back(Gap closer) you’re within range again to use it, it then ports away and does another strike of decent damage, you then proceed to do the same with infiltrators signet. 3 shadowstrikes from a zerker thief is enough to inflict massive damage into a target, while it is difficult to dodge bc the cast times are so low. Essentially nuking the target. Now imagine that with an extra gap closer, it would be unreal. High initiative cost and it wouldnt benefit other offhand dagger builds enough to be viable, so it would need to maintain a low init cost of 3-4. No, I was not reffering to condi p/d -_-
Yea, changing the d/d dual skill would be great too, especially bc d/d isn’t even meta for condi. Would be great to have a reason to use the skill. But this thread is abt the 4 skill so I’ll stick to that ;3
Uve gotta buff it in such a way where p/d isn’t buffed really BC p/d is strong enough, but give it something to help out melee playstyles like s/d and d/d. Definitely need to do something with it, bc atm I only use it as a ranged blind clear that’s obstructed half the time maugettarr had a great idea, but if p/d gets a spamable gap closer it will just b 343434=instawin I’m afraid. A skill that removed condi would b amazing tho
I run d/d 10/30/30 and ofc when ppl lose they call stealth/blinds/thieves op. I mean of all the weapon sets thieves can choose from, d/d is probably among the weakest. IMO its not as strong as s/d, no where near as strong as p/d, and its completely outmatched by d/p. I just find it the most fun so i run it ^.^ but Its not even viable in spvp rlly T.T
TFI transfered here about 2 months ago, and we love it. Everybody is insanely nice, and there are a lot of great fights too. Not only do we have a lot of roamers on our server, but we fight servers with pretty decent roaming guilds as well. Great server for any roaming guilds to come to (We’re a roaming guild), but also alot of zergs to be busted like prosecutor said (YB could srsly use another major zerg guild). Transfers are expensive these days, so you’ll want to make sure you get it right on the first try. Luckily we did. Tons of fun, great people, definately the server to be on <3__<3
ANYTHING (Except hard to catch <3 ), even give us nothing for 5pts into SA. Just leave it blank, I really don’t care at this point. Just any sign of effort on anets part would be greatly appreciated -_-
So many people complain for so long, and anet hasn’t done anything. It’s not even a remotely challenging fix, either replace it with something else or just make it so it doesn’t activate while channeling a skill. Getting tired of this trait messing me up in WvW, as are many others. Do we need a petition or something? -_-
Invite plz if possible Would love to get these teq achievements lol
What: Their abillity to post on the forums
Why: Meh actually it doesn’t matter much. Anet doesn’t listen/care abt em anyways
Whenever a thief tries to search the forums, anet should redirect them to a rickroll. We want them to feel loved, but mainly unheard. Cuz if thief wasn’t nerfed every patch, I’d rage on the forums about how op they are, and then they’d be mean to me :’(
Doesn’t seem fair at all with what their doing recently. I mean with all the nerfs coming at us u think they’d at least give us a FIX. Its not even a buff, just a fix for a trait thats been “bugged” for a longgggg time now. I’m just getting sick of it, time to roll a necro bc they seem to always be loved. >.>
Immune to stealth? That’s like a debuff… Why would we want that as a trait lol? The intent of the trait is to save you from near death situations, but in reality it just gets us killed. There needs to be a change. I’m getting tired of this >.>
The trait 5 points in Shadow arts “Last refuge” needs to be changed. This trait stealths you when you hit 25% health by droping a blinding powder. However (And I’m not the only thief with this problem), it will even activate mid attack. So for example, you realize your health is getting low so you go to cloak and dagger an enemy, so you can stealth to get regen, blind, escape, or other things depending on your build. During the middle of this cast, before Cloak and Dagger deals its direct damage, blinding powder triggers due to last refuge, and cloak and dagger then reveals you because you “attacked from stealth”, and then you die because enemies kill you and you can’t use stealth like you had planned. There is no abillity to cancel casting the cloak and dagger before this trait activates because there is absolutely no warning aside from knowing that you are about to get hit below 25% health (Which is very hard to predict how much damage an enemy is about to do to you in a fraction of a second) Now normally I’d say it’s kind of a tough luck scenario, but you can’t even choose to not have that trait. If you plan on taking any traits in Shadow arts, you MUST have that minor trait.
I’d like to suggest a few ways that anet could easily solve this problem:
1. Change it to a special blinding powder, that doesn’t activate while casting a skill, or has a 1 second internal delay before it can reveal you. Perhaps the second part of that statement could be exploited, but the first would greatly help fix this issue. It seems to me like a do-able change.
2. Introduce a new minor trait to replace last refuge. This would be very interesting to see accomplished, and it would definately make the thief a bit more interesting if it had something new.
3. Swap it with one of the adept traits, so that it is a choice to have, rather than forcing it upon players that want to use shadow arts. I’d recommend swapping it with one of these traits:
-Shadow protector; as an already underused trait, switching this and last refuge would aid greatly in fixing this problem, while not giving thieves much extra power. Nobody would spend 5 points in SA just for that minor trait (At least I wouldn’t think so, doesn’t seem worth it)
-Infusion of Shadow; First off, I’ll admit that this trait in its current state would be overpowered if it was switched with last refuge. However, the nerf coming to this trait makes it much less desirable when combined with the +33% init regen boost we will be getting. Most thieves already plan on switching out that trait as soon as the balance patch hits. Maybe if further balancing was required, you could change it to a 1 init regen upon entering stealth. I can see this being a bit controversial, but I believe it could be implemented properly without giving thieves too much extra power.
-Slowed pulse; I’ve never used this trait in my 1.2k hours as a thief. Not once. Why? Because there are significantly better traits to choose from, so swapping this and last refuge would not greatly increase the strength of the thief class, but would solve the problem.
Any solution at this point is desirable, because I’m getting sick and tired of dying in the middle of a fight because this trait messes me up and reveals me. I am considering not putting any points into shadow arts anymore because of this trait (That is how strongly I hate it), which definately limits how I can build my thief, which seems to be the problem anet is trying to fix by making thieves less dependent on initiative traits. I can’t think of a single good reason why this trait needs to be kept how it is, I mean for 10 points in trickery you can get a very very similar trait called Instinctual Response, that just activates at a lower health threshold. Either way, it seemed like a good idea to make this suggestion as a huge balancing patch is coming out soon, but maybe it will have to wait until the next patch. Any opinions on this?
1. Gives more of a reason to get a legendary, lots of people don’t get them BECAUSE they are soulbound. They don’t want to spend so much time for something that only one character will be able to use.
2. Most people only go for one legendary, and soulbinding it locks them into a class/character in a way, which seems to be against what anet wants (EX. account bound wxp). After working hard to get something so epic, you rarely ever want to play another character that doesn’t have it.
3. After all that work to get it, if I swap my build so it doesn’t use a <Insert Legendary Weapon>, I should at least be able to send it to another one of my characters so it doesn’t sit in my bank collecting dust. Because of this, not only does it “lock” players into a class, it locks them into a specific set of builds. EX. A thief switching from s/d to d/d, but has bolt. Maybe that player’s mesmer could use bolt.
4. Yes, transmuting a legendary can make it account bound. But it also forces it to lose it’s legendary status (And ascended stats) so that you couldn’t swap it to be whatever stat set you’d like. That was a HUGE boost to the motive to get a legendary, and therefore transmuting is undesirable because you lose that feature.
5. If a player only has one legendary (Seemingly most players with legendaries only have one, sometimes two) then how is letting that player move the weapon to another character devalue the achievement? It’s still just as hard to get, but it’s now more rewarding to get, therefore increasing the amount of people that go for em, which keeps people playing this game, which makes anet money.
6. A TON of people have legendaries, so I don’t really see any point behind the argument that you see the skin so much you get bored of it. Just walk around LA in Blackgate, you’ll probably be able to see every legendary in the game at least once (If not multiple times) within an hour. I run into players with incinerator (my legendary <3 ) all the time. It doesn’t make me hate having my incinerator lol.
7. If you’re afraid of players swapping these legendaries between characters too often (I don’t really see a problem but…) then maybe require a specific amount of time the legendary has to be on a character before being able to send to another character who is then bounded by the same requirement.
8. It’s not like we’re asking to be able to resell our legendaries on the TP if we get bored of em, we just want to be able to play a variety of classes with our legendaries.
-Rant over
My guild just transfered to Yak’s Bend and were loving it here. Generally beat other servers but we still face challenges from SBI and FA so it’s pretty exciting
GG DR 3-manned your keep (Hills), then you guys zerged it :/ so we stealthed inside till the buff was up and 2-manned it. Srsly no sweep? <3
Some good fun dueling from like 6am to 4pm XD long day, haven’t slept in over 24 hours. Some pretty decent duels overall
Good duels against some VLK today, frozen warrior was a great competitor along with his friend Gartha (Sorry for horrible misspelling) Unfortunately after both had left 2 of their other guildiees akira redmoon and another necro who I have forgotten the name of got very angry after losing duels and went out against a guildee and me who were unprepared to fight, they then flagged us, party invited me and trash talked us about how our builds were cheap, and then left feeling happy and proud. Had a good impression of VLK up untill those 2, hopefully their aren’t more like that in VLK
Hello, I’ve been playing guild wars 2 since November and have almost 700 hours of playtime. I can’t help but notice that every time a patch is released, they tweak aspects of the game and add more content, yet miss some very important small details that would make a huge difference for guilds. For a while now, I’ve been waiting for a few improvements to be released with these patches, but now I think its about time to say something. Here is a list of a few minor details that could make a huge difference:
1. Last Active: Please list in the guild roster/friends list the last known date the player was online. This little improvement would make a huge difference in the way that Guild Leaders can manage their Guilds, providing a much less tedious way to sort through inactive and active players
2. Guild Chat Notice: Please make an option for a “Beep” sound to play when a guild message is sent, similar to the whisper noise. I feel that a lot of people don’t see chat sometimes and it would benefit the entire guild community if this was added.
3. Custom Guild Info Page: Currently there is a ‘What is a Guild" Tab under the list of Guilds you’ve joined. I’d like something similar to that for each prospective guild, so they can give information about their Guild without having to be suppressed by the games mailing system. This would be an extremely convenient tool for Guild leaders.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and hopefully these small improvements are made soon.
