Hi. I’m wondering about the tooltips on a lot of abilities. I understand there are two types of illusions: clones and phantasms and their functions. However a lot of abilities don’t stay clone or phantasm but rather state they summon an illusion. How do you tell if this illusion is a clone or phantasm? A bit confusing there.

Also say if I have 3 phantasms up and I summon a clone from an ability, does the clone replace the oldest phantasm or do phantasms always have priority over clones?

Because having fps jump from 180 and then to 30 one minute to the next can be stressful on the system. I would like more than 60 because 60 doesn’t always feel that smooth unlike say 80 or 90.

I tried creating a shortcut and adding the -fps 80 parameter but it doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

Problem with hgh nades is mobility though?

Hi been leveling a mesmer and almost 80. Wondering what the current meta is for both pve and wvw. Is there one build that can work for both or not? Do mesmers usually go condition or power? What kind of gear? In either a power/cond build is crit important?

Cool cheers. Just a follow up question. If I wish to have the appearance of a lvl 80 set on a non 80 stat set, do I have to use the transmutation crystals? Or will the stones suffice or is there another?

Hi. Say I’m lvl 48 and using lvl 45 armor set and wish to have the appearance of a lvl 65 set of armor. If I combine them via transmutation – only using the lvl 65 set on the appearance side – will I still be able to use the end set at lvl 48?

Ok, personally I prefer more offensive to defense so I guess rabid it is then.

So is there a point to precision then – ala rabid – if conditions can’t crit?

Thanks for the info. Just curious, with that burst SD build, once you kill someone or not, do you pretty just die after that. What can you do once all your cds are down. It doesn’t have rocket boots and is super squishy right. I watched someone on twitch running a burst build and he pretty much kills someone almost instantly then pretty much dies instantly.

And thanks, I was thinking rabid but isn’t it missing crucial power? I guess the defense will benefit more in terms of longevity.

I dunno about him taking heat off me. If they see a warrior and engi they will prob bum rush the engi first heh.

To be a little bit more specific I will prob be roaming a bit in WvW with a buddy warrior. I don’t think I will go the SD route as I find that a bit of a one trick pony as much fun as it would be when it goes off perfectly. You are super squishy and pretty much don’t do much when it’s on cd. So I’m guessing the other route is nades? Are bombs viable and similar in build/gear? I have pretty much been using zerker gear exclusively while leveling up but I think I will prob go condition route for WvW most likely and I guess zerker still for PvE. Is rampager prob the best condition set for damage? And what is the most viable overall condition nades/bomb/other build for WvW? I prefer damage/support.

So where should my first set of 80 gear be from? Exotic from trading post?

Hi all. I just hit 80 on my Engi and wondering what my next steps should be.

- Is it worth the time doing world completion? I’m def going to do all the 60+ zones cos you get exotics from them but do you get exotics from that 55-65 zone (Sparkfly Fen)?

- What is generally considered to be the best WvW build right now for Engi? Spec and gear wise?

- What goals should I be working towards in terms of gear? Should I buy lvl 80 exotic gear right away? My friend gave me a Charrkooza so I guess I’m rifle for now or are pistols the only way to go?

- What other things do you experienced Engis recommend I be doing now that I’m 80?
