Maybe my guild will interest you. I am a GW2 Admin in Pandion Knights (gaming community playing many different games including GW2). We are mature, casual and friendly guild, we run fractals, dungeons every evening you can easily find people to play with. We normally do lots of different pve activities. Some of us play wvw also.

We are on Seafarer’s Rest. Obviously we have ts, where during the day you can find people to chat or to play together too. Most of our players play in similar time as well (GMT and GMT+1). Also a lot of us are constantly leveling new characters so it should be easy to find a party to level your characters.

We have guild events nearly every day. We normally have 20-40+ online people during evenings, especially during events. We are really friendly bunch of players, in a chilled relaxed atmosphere.

A summary of today’s experience, you ask? After multiple runs today, we tried to despawn and a warrior dragged an imp to my despawn area, killing us both.

I was going to port when they finished the chest figuring they would be able to handle it, but they were taking too long and kept rallying so I figured I would head back and Greatsword the acolytes from the rock at a distance to finish and help.

What do I get? The second they finish after taking so long leaving me waiting for the port, I get this:

“Why are you running back, you (kitten). (Kitten) Stupid (Kitten), now we have no port.” then proceeded to kick me.

Firstly, they were taking a long time to finish. Secondly, I was initially going to port once they finished if they weren’t failing so hard.

You’ll often find that the loud bad players will find anyone else to blame for anything that goes wrong.

I’d recommend finding a guild or some guild mates who aren’t total idiots and go with them instead.

Even though my guild Pandion Knights is more casual we have had many ‘hardcore’ CoF speedruns since release, it shouldn’t be too hard to find some like minded people in any guild, after all it’s easy money.

Just a quick bump/update. We run guild organised events 4 nights a week, fractals, Orr events, WvW and Guild Missions. We have Guild Bounty, Guild Trek and Guild Rush unlocked and are on the way to Guild Challenge.

We’re also looking to boost our daytime members as it’s a quiet period for us and I would like to see that change.

What Anet really need to do now though, is lower the price of the GW2 box in the shops/online. Literally slash it in half, it’s been out 8 months and is still expensive imo. I have a few friends who if the box was cheaper would definitely pick it up.

And come on, it’s not like they aren’t making money on all these ridiculous RNG boxes every kitten month.

No problems here, did guild bounties/treks and a rush sat night on Seafarer’s Rest. Also a Bounty last night. We’ve had Sotzz the last 2 times with no issues either.

I liked the dungeon overall. I liked the living story too also mostly. Only I felt it took too long to reach its conclusion. I know this is a test for the living story system and I’m all for this kind of dynamic content, but it’s going to have to come out within the space of around a month rather than over say 2-3 I think.

I understand the comparison to buying ori picks. But I prefer this comparison:
24g (for pick) / 3.2silver per ori= 750 ori mined pays for pick.
To put this in context, in the 7 months I have played the game I have mined somewhere in the region of 15 stacks of ori.
After this the pick is 100% profit.
3 other factors to consider:
1) convenience. Nothing like porting down to cursed shore for an ori run only to realize you’re out of picks.
2)It mines all ore equally, and I don’t feel like I need to carry around 10 different picks so I’m not wasting ori picks on copper.
3) animation is dope, well worth 800 gems imo.
And yes, I do own the pick

This, much better way of looking at it. Plus not needing to change picks for other types of materials since everyone’s so concerned about how many Ori picks they can buy for same price etc.

I only use my main mostly for mining so this was a great item for me.

Im curious what the rates vs Exotics vs rares is. As the few times iv seen exotics mentioned people seem to get there precursors.

Just to clarify my post, I got the chosen in the end from some more yellows, I’ve put 32 exotics into the forge, 7200 instance tokens worth. At least I got to sell the exotics I did get

Over 3/4 Months I put 1500 yellow GS minimum into the forge, no pre. Then roughly 1000 shields, during that time I also put 32 exotic shields (from instance tokens) into it also and nothing.
Finally a couple days ago I got the shield pre and finished my legendary shield.

So, keep trying, or don’t try at all and just keep selling the yellows and you’ll have the cash for a pre :p

The guild interface really needs a last online time, even if its only available to guild officers/leaders. Its been a staple feature of MMOs for years but seems to be absent in a few of the latest ones.

Happens constantly, restarting the whole client is the only fix for me and I’d rather not have to do that every time.

This has been a problem since last night on Seafarer’s Rest for me. The game just gets indefinitely stuck on the queensdale loading screen.
