sorry for not reading every comment and potentially repeating someone:

- phantasm skills cast at the maximum range possible will not produce a phantasm, despite the red line under the skill icon not showing up anymore.

- some skills have odd delays upon usage, namely Blurred Frenzy (1h Sword) or Magic Bullet. I find this to be a problem with my Elementalist too, so it might be some kind of queuing problem. In any case, Magic Bullet fires off much slower than the Thief equivalent, making the skill very impractical for interrupting skills on reaction.

- GS skill Mirror Blade will not bounce back to you, if you are the only viable target and standing a bit further away. The same is true for the Staff auto attack bounce. (and possibly trident, but I haven’t confirmed).

- when not in line of sight to the target, Magic Bullet will often not fire off but go on cooldown

- Torch skill Prestige will not do any burning damage if you do something while invisible. While this might not be a bug, there should probably be an option to manually trigger the burning damage right away (and cancelling invis) by pressing the skill again. Otherwise, a lot of dps and initiative is lost by just waiting.

- Arcane Thievery will not steal all boons from someone.

- Utility skill Mimic seems to be quite random. It will sometimes not activate (or I was dazed every time or instantly interrupted by sth, not entirely sure) and it will reflect projectiles during the channel… which is nice and should stay that way^^

- Focus skill Phantasmal Warden will often stay rooted to the ground and only sometimes follow its target if it moves.

- Illusionist’s Celerity does not stack with any of the other clone/phantasm CD shortening traits

- Major Illusions trait Masterful Reflection only gives the F4 skill reflection, all other distortion skills remain unreflective

- I could swear Compounding Celerity trait in Inspiration does not work

- (general problem)
Many effects from armor runes and sigils seem not to be working for skills they should affect. I’m sorry I can’t think of any examples right now.

I just wanted to point out that there are many unnaturally slim looking body type options in the character creator for Humans and Sylvari. This is especially noticeable when creating a human female, and I think it might send a wrong message to some girls (and boys) playing this game about beauty standards. Just wanted to point that out quick

Moa totally stands out among crowd control in the game, which usually only lasts 2-3 seconds. I’m playing Mesmer and I always wondered what this mysterious build might be that I haven’t found yet, which makes Mesmer OP, but I think it’s just the Moa Elite. Other than that, Mesmer has no I-Win-Button I can think of, neither is Mesmer damage somehow super bursty. I have yet to break 3k damage with one skill, for example.

I made a thread on the Guru forums months before the game went into beta about Downed State and the negative effects it could have on PvP. Back then, not many people seemed to mind and so I thought: well, maybe it’s just me and it will be fine.

After playing in sPvP for some time now, I find myself ignoring downed opponents as often as I can and if downed myself, I will press my magical “2” button as a Mesmer to disappear once to annoy people and then go brain AFK. Downing someone after a close fight and then being downed myself by his rocks results in 1 minute of mutual rock throwing. Or even worse: his buddies show up and kill me while I’m trying to execute and he pops back to life instantly, making me feel like I wasted my time.
Another problem is, that players with a ranged damage build have to get into melee range to execute, which takes more time and costs more life than for melee builds.
Overall, it’s not fun and I never feel like I can do anything meaningful while downed and rooted to the ground, neither do I want to, because I just died and that’s OK.

As stated several times before by others, Downed State is great in PvE, but in PvP it takes away from the satisfaction of bringing someone to 0 life, aka killing him or her, plus it actually limits tactical options as much as it brings with it new ones. For example, I had an intense 1v2 fight just today where I used everything I learned until now, and it would have been the first 1v2 I won since the game came out… if it wasn’t for Downed State.

My hopes are for the Downed State to be removed from sPvP at the least, because I think that this would make for a much cleaner gaming experience and make winning fights where your side is outnumbered not as impossible.

I just don't even know who I am targeting anymore.

With the exception of Mesmer clones, there should be an option to show only hostile player’s name tags, with pet names showing only on mouseover or so. This would reduce the chaos a bit.
