Does my mini count as a companion? Minions and ranger pets all come up as green on the minimap and so does a mini. Does a mini activate the +7% dmg with active companion effect with a ranger rune?

Any Plans to Fix the Servers?

I like how his topic is about laggy servers, and the goes on a mini rage rant to follow up. Mods should close this garbage thread.

[Suggestion] Modding community.

Revealing armour, why is there not enough of it? Sure there are some armours with enormous amounts of cleavage and open chest action, even side action.. just not enough I say. I realize maybe the topic is a little on the touch and go here, but since the skins are already implemented and ingame, it’s fair to talk about it.

Could there be a modding community that makes quality skins for the game? Wildstar has one and it’s great from what I hear. We’re always waiting on Anet developers to throw things on the gem market.. but it’s something a modding community could really get into. It might even popularize the game even more when it involves it’s fans that much more. Anet could remove questionable material by review things submitted and approving what they want.. but I’d like to see much more clothing and customizing looks.

When you play the game after so long, you know all the skins and the looks. I would really like to see ALOT more skins, which I believe can only happen with an integrated modding community like many other successful games have done.

Edit: It could be good for weapons too. People complain about the lack of Legendary weapons. All the weapon types are covered, what people want are different skins for them. A necro leaving behind bronie rainbows in his footsteps isn’t that cool or intimidating. Weapon model scaling would be EPIC aswell since many issues isn’t what’s not available, but how big or small the equipment is. I have a sword I really like, but if it was only a bit bigger it would be better!

Utility Skill Swap

Sounds decent. I would go a step further and even create different profiles or actual build tabs on the top with different gear and everything ready.

You could have all your weapons, armour, utilities and traits all saved as “Build 2” on the top of your equipment page and would be ready without the need to drop everything back and forth from your bank like a nut case re-organizing things over and over. You could even rename the build tab if you’d like. Simple 8 character limit names at least.

Heck even Anet could profit from this by allowing one extra build tab by adding expansion slots for up to four or five in the gem store at 400 gems each. That way I could have a zerker PvE build, PvP build, WvW build and whatever other custom one’s I want.

I’ve been told and believe myself that everything gets boring. It’s only a matter of time before you get bored. Sometimes it takes a few moments, and sometimes it might even take a lifetime, but it all gets boring. If you’re not happy doing something anymore, than there’s no doubt that you will be bored, or are already bored.

Take a break or start roleplaying with people. Roleplay is fun because the story keeps changing and imaginary gameplay keeps evolving without new content needed to be added. Try it out.

Superior Rune of Rage for Necro.

I bought the runes at one point because I wanted “Furious Demise” to increase to 6 seconds of fury instead of 5. That way I could use the trait “Close to Death” which reduces the DS’s CD and could pop in and out of DS and get the fury boost and crit like crazy without putting all my points in the Curses trait line.

It doesn’t increase Furious Demise’s effect by 1 second though, so there’s a hang time for me before I can effectively attack again.

I think this is a bug obviously. The runes give me 30% fury duration increase, but it doesn’t affect said trait.

No Expansion (in my opinion)

I wouldn’t mind their being an expansion if the content in it was substantial. New areas, new classes, new gamemodes would be a viable reason to spend $40. I think Anet doesn’t like to talk about it because if they said they would never make an expansion but then did, it would make them look like idiots or unsure on their own development process.

I’m all for it. Living story is fun and all, but expansions could have it’s own story on the side with alot of content that wouldn’t affect the official GW2 story.

[Suggestion] Deathmatch.

A simple deathmatch would be solid. It would have the same structure like pvp in a sense, but could be a 2-12 player free for all. I don’t feel like going in-depth that much, but it could be something simple as far as imagination goes. It’s something that’s missing that exists in a lot of genres of video games.

Implement. Yes. Now please. Thanks.

Toggled Sprinting Mechanic.

ZanchinFissure.7981

I’m not sure if this has been suggested, but since this is only on that, “a suggestion” it’s not very important if it has been discussed before.

What I would like to bring up is a sprinting mechanic that would use endurance as it’s duration meter. Sprinting could provide 45-50% faster running speed when toggled, but drain your endurance at a medium-high rate.

I believe it would open even a few more doors to combat tactics as you could add runes or sigils that would increase endurance recovery rates instead of restoring percentages out right like the sigil of energy would. Using sprint would give classes who lack alot of mobility the option to move around faster in and out of combat. Players would have to gauge when they should use sprint and when they could use dodge since both would use endurance. Sprinting could also have it’s own animation and while sprinting you can’t attack until you run out of endurance, let go of the toggle button and/or stop moving. To add even a bit more imagination, some classes could be given new traits to replace some that are unpopular with sprinting attack options or lowered endurance expenditure. Hopefully mostly for light classes.

I understand immediately that a Sigil of Energy could provide some abuses since you could change out weapons to sprint even longer, but I’m sure Anet developers wouldn’t have a problem nerfing those to make up for the mechanic change. I wouldn’t mind the trade off myself.

What are companions.

What constitutes a companion? I want to use ranger runes, but not sure if a companion is only a pet. Are companions the green dots on mini maps? If I’m a necro, would flesh golem be considered a companion?

Having the same issue aswell. I can’t download the new patch. When I try and start the game up, it says cannot connect, retrying. “Connection(s) Error detected. Retrying…”

I had no issues before hand with firewalling etc..

Possible Necro trait bug.

When I select Dark Armour from the Death Magic trait tree along with Deadly Strength from the same tree, the effects from Deadly Strength don’t trigger when I channel. I’m looking in my equipment stats and nothing changes when I channel. The Dark Armour increases my toughness by 400 when using grasping claws but 10% of that (40 power) should have been added to power.

Am I missing something or is this a bug? It seems like a bug to me.

I know it came back a few months ago, but I wasn’t here and I’ve been waiting for it for awhile. The small time I take time off and wasn’t playing GW2, the item I’ve been groveling over comes and goes faster than a shooting star.

I know there’s no way to make an exception, so instead could I get a rough estimate when it’ll come back? I really want it for my character.
