I consider myself as someone who approaches GW from an RPG point of view. I would not attempt to use these forums to have a conversation about role playing. There’s far better “walled gardens” out on the web for that. I have seen a few people attempt to start a conversation about character development as apposed to simple level gain… the response is usually along the lines of Go back to SecondLife
Here’s an example of what’s possible with just a dash of lore. Start a guild that is made up of only Asura Engineers (Not engineering! Keeping with lore the profession should be magic based. Example: Zojja; elementalist.). The role playing writes itself, we have all the tools. You can have geniuses, apprentices, and a group focus on crafting rare items (invention). Slap together a guild hosting site and you’re off and running. Occasionally you could party with a Human, Charr, Sylvari, and Norn for an adventure (better rounded group play), but ultimately you are loyal to your guild and it’s community and exclusivity.

The only other place I go besides LA is the grove. I go there because there crafting set-up and the Tp is right next to it.
I go there on my humans as wellas my Sylvari.
Thanks for this. Recently I went to the Grove for the first time as part of my PS. It didn’t click in my head that the TP was right there at the crafting stations.
There are so many possibilities hidden in all of the cities. I look forward to what the future will hold. I never considered “home instance” player housing. That would be sweet!
There were some stealth updates made to Cursed Shore, it seems. Probably to help combat botting/farming.
Yeah I was going to say the wiki will catch up to the update eventually – “Many undisclosed changes to Cursed Shore” (Not Verified)
I was thinking the same thing. Eventually I imagine there will be an event or series of mini events in Divinity. For fun you can always start a /dance party or send out a challenge for a costume bar brawl in Andrew’s tavern.
Totally Scoot, the first thing I rack the second I join a party is shadow refuge. I love shadowstep, fun as hell being all Batman like
Rott, I’m never going to look at trick shot the same way again!
I’m running with P/P D/D with venomous crits. As a role player I want to switch to D/D Shortbow but I got really comfortable playing with pistols. Sometimes I feel a little selfish playing thief… at least with shortbow, stealing, and the right traits I can provide some semblance of support to other players. Cheers!
Have you tried double checking against the online maps?

…and well done! I just hit level 42. Got a ways to go.
I imagine this has got to be coming along with an SDK for those hosting sites. I’m looking forward to the official reply to this question.
I never made it but I still LOVED IT. Easily one of the top highlights of the Halloween content.
My level 40 thief stayed on his feet the entire time and more than once healed a couple level 80s… when playing in parties I always make sure to have Shadow Refuge ready to go. Also at level 35 I didn’t have a problem in the labyrinth. Kills may take a while but it seems like the trick is to never stop moving.
I agree with the OP that GW2 has a great in-game community. But my suggestion is to take these forums with a grain of salt and stick to the in-game community to gauge the health of GW2.
It’s not so much that I get stuck as I get sweaty palms and freak out and start hitting the space-bar with my forehead. I’m just fooling around, I’ll keep trying and I’m sure I’ll hit it eventually.
You made me feel better. I’ll try it again!
I’m going to put this puzzle on the shelf with my other life’s incomplete failures. Excuse me while I go carve some pumpkins so I’ll feel better about myself… just kidding. Super fun, but seriously, I’m never going to complete this one
I’m terrible with my money. At level 31 I can’t seem to break above an average of ~70 silver. It’s my own fault.
Tank you for taking the time to hep out the community! Can’t wait to get home and play through the guides. Happy Halloween!
At this point I feel that I got such a value for my upfront $60 that I’m more than happy to give anet some money by spending a tiny fraction of cash compared to what I drop on comics every month. I’m looking forward to the weapon skins.
First time killing the Brood Witch. Ok, I didn’t kill the Brood Witch. I was healed like 20 times and was in the melee when the Brood Witch was killed by much better players. That and the entire GW2 world are my favs.
YES it was worth the $60! I’m a level 15 Human Thief and I just 100% Queensdale, including the hidden cave ;-)
UPDATE: Still worth the money. Still love the game. Level 21, 29 hours, 100 deaths.
P/P looks and sounds cool. I may feel different as I gain experience. Three times now I have accidentally pulled boss aggro into groups who were not ready or waiting on friends to join the party… so I’m an idiot and my opinion means nothing.
37 and planning on being around for a long time to come. Love the game.

So that’s what these “bots” look like. Crazy. I was wondering what the hell the train of naked players running around was.
The love child of Invader Zim and the interstellar mercenary & bounty hunter Lobo. Zimlobo.
Sinth’s fix worked for me. I kept declining the code of conduct agreement over and over again; took about 5 tries, until it did not redirect after the decline to the 401 page. I then logged in and successfully accepted the agreement.
