I believe it do still works, i played my ranger on fort ranik WvW and caped a camp on my own, i believe it drag the mob to me like it always does BUT it happend to be bugged here and there, ALSO some french ranger are completly noob and can’t check out what boons enemy have, like stability or a trait that can cancel 1 bump like ranger have (wilderness survival trait III).

I believe this is intended that ranger gets less target than the rest of all other classes, why?
Because ranger would be fine on their own without the help of any other classes if we had not all these nerf coming and coming even though we are still so kitten.ing FINE.
Some friend and me ran CoF p1 in about 5,30-6min, 4 rangers 1 mesmer just as exemple.
It is not a secret that ranger in WvW can do anything solo, even beat any classes or survive against 5 peoples kill the yak and still make it safe to his tower, claim a camp or a tower solo. (been there done that, work your build out)
Although we are under rated and underpowered compared to most of other classes.
Most of our trait are totally pointless or need a trait to access what other get untraited (guardian spirit, necro minion, war banner, elem minion, thief minion) or less regen time while for exemple thief get twice as more when hit by bleed/burn etc, also most of build around arent so impressive, skilled rangers dont do trap, nor spirit or BM bunker imo.
Pet meca su.cks indeed but can still be exploited with the right pets (defensive ones)

He also always focus on me, i’ve done maybe an hundred path of arah, 75% he’d focus on me, your best bet against lupi is using Axe/Axe + GS, Protect me and LR + RaO or spirit if not focused (easy to step out of fight), i also like to have a pig, that drop invulnerable elexir.
attack 5 of the axe at the step of lupi to send him back his ranged attacks, 4 of the GS while axe 5 is on cooldown or if you are in his stability required AoE.
i even believe i could solo the mofo which i’ll accomplish when i get more time on my hands

A trait that removes pet and increases player damage. Now here is the logic behind it:
Let’s say pet does 40% of ranger damage and with trait you lose the pet and it’s utilities but gain 20% flat damage increase.
All the top tier rangers would still play with pets because positioning the pet and yourself can give you better spike damage, overall damage is better, you get pet F2 skills …
But a lot of rangers would find this trait interesting because they are not on the same level of micromanaging their pet as the top ones … so this would greatly enhanced their gameplay
Ranger + pet + micromanagment is the most optimal > Ranger + trait – pet less optimal but is much easier > nubs who have pet and don’t micro manage it ( ME atm)

I posted the very same idea on the french forum, i have to agree with the idea, i dont see how we should have an handicap so big for 1min.
I have also another idea that could fix the problem of the dead pet, that the pet would actually never die but have its dmg nerfed while in “downed state”, so lets say 75% less damage and 25%-50% slower when it comes to movement, this way we dont have this bullkitten cooldown that leave us weaker than ever.

that would make more sence to have this buff for melee weapons..

5 15 30 20 0 is the best build i came to use (used all kind) either clerc armor or berserk armor + all jewelry in berserker or 1-2Toughness+crit/toughness precision unkillable in WvW, Sword/axe + GS

some great ideas were brought up, so i cant resist to bring that thread to the top and hopefully be noticed by developers

I’d like if possible with your help, get this list going, i have been using all kind of utility for a month or 2 and i am also aware of some utility consumable that are not on that (not updated) list but i can’t get to find them anywhere on the net.
