Some ties to GW1 would be nice.. I would like to see the raid story tie in somehow. Maybe if they just made an NPC that people could click on and showed a short cut scene like they have for the FOTM to explain the story and go through wings 1-3.

I agree with this part. Like anything in life… it’s much more rewarding to earn something than have daddy buy it for you. You will treasure it more.

I love my Nevermore, I love the skin and I loved the journey. The journey was similar to the new shortbow, C&C but because I got C&C after Nevermore, ANET made the HoT mats easier to get. Therefore I love my Nevermore a lot more because it required much more farming of HoT maps (which was a pain but as a result I felt much more rewarded when completed!)

Farming elder wood can be a pain but if you know some spots in Orr and other high level areas it can be quite profitable and help with other mats/gold. Do this once a day with a toon or two and you will be on your way.

Again, the argument still stands. Rationally speaking, why would anyone choose to go to a medium server which basically low pop when you CAN go to yb with just 1k gems and is a top 3 largest server?

Cause YB has a toxic af community and very few guilds want to deal with their established leadership. Guilds have been bailing on YB for a long time.

I tend to agree.. I made a huge mistake transfering back to YB from BG. Lasted maybe 2 months before jumping off.

I’m in a lower tier now and loving it. Much better than T1 and tbh, the most fun ive had in years of WvW.

I don’t get it? basicly you don’t want teams to spec and have roles. You don’t want teams to try out new compositions. You moan about toughness and resistance..

These are here to make the game interesting. Would you rather have it we all just use a zerker set of armor and fight in OC?? it’s not 2013…

I agree some things need to be tweaked regularly but you sound like youre whining…

I’m in tier 4 NA now and I must say, this is the most fun I’ve had playing WvW for a very long time. Lots of small battles and still big zerg fights in EGB.

T1 is deadset boring compared to T4 atm. Hope it stays this way.. time will tell I guess.

I think mercenaries would be cool.. borderlands are locked but EBG on all servers are open. If a mercenary captures something, it goes to the respected colour they are fighting for. making EBG kinda like Edge of the Mists

Mercenaries can’t queue for a different servers EBG but if there is no queue they can join in. Could also make some restrictions like: 1/2 maximum supply, they can place siege etc

Yup.. I’m on TCBL and the match up is stale.. BG is just too blobbed.. It’s boring now.

Remove ET from BG!!!!!!!!!!!! They don’t need a paired server!! Give ET to the lowest ranked server and be done with it.

TCBL, unlike YBBL, has commanders and a much better WvW community that don’t just “give up” completely..

BG is the only server that should be not linked.. TC and Yaks both have no where near the WvW population BG does. If you stripped TC and Yaks from their paired servers, both would drop to lower tiers.

Yaks has a very small AR WvW contribution and can only gather players from Yaks when certain commanders are on.

TC has quite a large Kain contribution and would drop right down without being paired.

By making T1 unpaired you would still have the same problem with BG and all it would do is confuse and anger people. (unless you were on BG which means every week you would have new servers to play against)

Aren’t people on BG getting bored? (and those that transfered to ET) Long WvW ques? Boring matches because of the huge population difference?

I transfered back to YB from BG when the servers weren’t locked and now I’m labeled a spy for BG Nevertheless, my observations of both these servers during SEA/EU times:

BG has a larger WvW population (but not by a huge amount like ppl seem to think) BG has many fight commanders that are fun to follow, which is why they have the numbers. They also use voice comms. and commanders are very vocal.

YB has a WvW population but only when DK or Chris are around. DK is a great defender but yellow when it comes to open field fights and rages on comms when things don’t go his way (which is quite unhealthy when trying to keep or recruit SEA/EU players). Chris is an awesome fight commander with lots of creativity, helps people with builds (explaining on comms in detail about them) and is encouraging even in defeat. Chris will often get a map que aswell so the population is there.

Basicly, I totally agree with this. The play style of DK and Chris complement each other and if both are online the server holds its own.YB needs a few more fight commanders and they will challenge BG once more. (as long as BG doesn’t have their finger in another servers pie)
