I’m not hurt… he wasn’t attacking me with his words. But I don’t like to see others being attacked for no reason like that. The way I see it is the racists need a reality check, not the other way around.
ugh is it? Is there a way to remove screens?
and so basically, nothing will happen. gtk i guess, although annoying. dont see the point in a report for verbal abuse if no action is taken.
**edit: I deleted them but they’re still showing for me when I refresh. hope they get deleted soon.

Hi,
I was in a solo arena match a few minutes ago and someone was typing in some oriental language. Another player then told the person to stop and called them a (only using the words as a reference from the chat) “rice picker.” They said this to the person twice during our short match.
I reported that player for taking his own issues with not being able to accept a different race or culture into the game. I also kindly told him(or her) I reported him(or her). Their reply was lololol I’ve never been banned for that. (not exact words )
So my question is, does Anet not care about racism? Will anything happen to this person or was he right to laugh at me for reporting because it’s a waste of time?

I think it would be awesome to have a living world event where we delve into the history of guild wars.
I played the original guild wars games for years and I loved it. One thing I loved was the story line and the history the Prophecies had. It would be really nice if we could go through it again, even if only for a couple weeks.
Players could start at Ascalon and have to track the missions that were in guild wars 1 and even get to play the original missions! Maybe have to go from one place to the next to get scraps of the old guild wars map that would be like an overlay of the new map. (minus the areas that aren’t available in the new map.) All the while looking for historical references with more information about what happened there. A lot like the achievement in Ebonhawk.
I know, there are already a lot of refferences to the first game, but it would be really cool if you would do something like this. The guild wars 1 vets will feel nostalgic, while the new community would learn what happened way back when the gods were still around and monks roamed the planet.
Hi!
I’m looking for a PvX guild on sorrows furnace. One with active players that actually do a varried assortment of activities. Not one that is mostly one thing (wvw, pvp, dungeons, exploring) like most. I’m not looking for one where if you’re looking to do something that isn’t the normal you have to do it solo or you’re out of luck. Small new guilds aspiring to have a wide range of activities is also cool.
I like to farm achievements, level characters, and explore. I love doing new content when it is added, especially since there are always achievements with it. I have a level 80 ranger and guardian. Working on leveling one character of each profession, right now my lowest level is 25, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to help people that need it and are lower level than myself.
Also, I have another guild that is a personal guild for storage, and a guild with just real life friends. However, I rarely rep either and it isn’t for long when I do.
Some of the GW1 modes may be a good starting spot.
+1
Surely there is a big obstacle – the lack of a healer, compared to Gw1, which makes impossible to just do a carbon copy.
In a Jq/Fa Arena you can’t heal efficently your Carriers/Npc anymore.
In GvG you can’t heal the lord underpressure.
In a Ha/GvG/Ra you can’t fuse somebody to save them. Even proactive defence like SpiritBond/ProtSpirit/ect is gone. There are 2 options.
Either a huge rebalance of classes (even adding a new one?) to fit in a “free trinity BUT there is a Healer” Gw1style system in Gw2
or
Rework mechanics to blend with Gw2 system.I think everybody here will agree that the former would be a MASSIVE work to do, and with unknown results. While the latter sounds much more reasonable, even if it means reworking some key features of the modes.
Anyway, more modes. If Gw1 ones makes a return, even better.
But KotH/CtF/etc or even a MOBA style map could be considered too.
They could easily change the healing skill for each profession in special instances like JQ. Say a Warrior could heal target friendly and himself (carries get extra heal) + add swiftness. The Guards could AoE heal (carriers get extra heals) + add protection.
Something like this wouldn’t take much work and it wouldn’t affect the game outside the instance.
Edit: I forgot to say I would really like to see JQ in Guild Wars 2. It is what I miss the most from the original Guild Wars.
Here’s my thoughts on the Guild Wars 2 Living World.
Personally, I don’t see this as a “living” world. It just changes. Living implies there is some type of growth involved. When something happens for two to four weeks and there is no growth, it is just a temporarily added feature.
To make it actually living, create consequences. Say, if people do not defeat the Mad Prince x amount of times his reign will have some type of impact throughout the next year when people can try again. But if he is defeated enough, he is gone until he can escape again. This might not be the best example, I just came up with it right now.
In summary; make world consequences (or zone, depending on the depth of the event) or rewards. Rebuilding events after something major happens would be cool. Don’t just magically fix everything and make it back to usual after the two weeks.
Hi,
I have been trying to get into the shops under the poison waterfall in tribulation mode. I don’t even know how many times I have tried and I always die instantly when i hit the waterfall. I see the door open, but I die anyway. I got in once but forgot to get the shop under the first one. Anyone know why it’s not letting me back in? Anyone else having this issue too?
I agree, I doubt Ritualist will ever be added, especially since it was the second go to profession for healing in gw1. Still, it would be awesome so I threw it in there.
I agree with most of what you said, before the traits section since that’s when I started nodding off. However some of your suggestions seem to be off base.
As a ranger, I agree there needs to be some improvements. Spirits are useless in most circumstances, our class name is ranger, yet have some crazy range restrictions.
I love pets, but hate them because they don’t like to listen. Often I find my pet completely ignores my f2 press, even after it completes its current skill. In pve it is not such a big deal, but in PvP when it’s so hard to trap someone into their noticeable skill it makes all of the difference. Would also be nice to see a pet to induce the new condition Torment. Overall though, if you think about it, our pets are better than Necro minions and the recharge to switch them out is faster than their recharge to create a new minion after one dies. Granted, they can have more than one in their skill bar and active at a time. That would be a cool feature, give a skill to rangers to have two pets active for a set time. Not the crappy spirit wolf or hell hounds, but another actual pet.
However, some things I did not agree with like comparing one of our regular skills with a thief’s elite. Of course their elite is going to be better, it’s an elite.
I would also like to say I have never had an issue with finding a group. I have heard some random people talking about how the ranger class is useless, but it has never affected my gaming in any way (that I’ve noticed). I enjoy how it is set up to be self sufficient in most cases instead of having so many team targeted skills; the only team I need is my pet and myself. And I love it when my team is all down and I’m the last one standing to finish a fight. But that could be because I enjoy PvP as well as PvE and pvp habits follow me to PvE. However; like stated earlier there could be so many improvements to pets, range, and spirits since spirits are pointless and they could give us something we could actually use. Then I don’t think I would have anything major enough to take the time to go to a forum to complain.
I would love this feature! especially a key bound option. Not only could this help in combat, which I never thought of, but it would help in jumping puzzles. So many of them have drops that deal just a little damage and that brings you in combat mode, bringing your pet out again to be annoying and glitchy looking all over the place.
Hi,
I’m bored so I decided, why not dump all my suggestions? So here they are in no particular order, and I’ve played this since beta and came from years of playing the original Guild Wars.
PvP:
1) GvG. I can’t believe it’s not a part of GW2 pvp yet. It was a staple of the original.
That’s all I have for PvP right now since most of my other suggestions have already been dealt with.
PvE / General:
1) Player housing and guild halls. Guild halls were another staple of GW1 that is surprisingly still missing. A lot of other people want all kinds of customization for guild halls and housing, but for me, I think it would be cool to just have a place where guildies can go, for free, and use basic game features like bank, trading post, and crafting. For housing, a HoM style place would be cool so achievements are displayed and have a bank / merch.
2) Make the new horn from the gem store usable while walking. Also, make it so it can play the same note rapidly. When I try to play one note twice in a row it often thinks I’m long pressing.
3) Make a tough dungeon. All of these out right now are too easy. AR isn’t that easy, but it is only temporary. I do like however, that there is a mini jumping puzzle of sorts in it. Would be nice to see that in others; but again, tougher. Like the Mad King’s JP tough.
4) Tattoo armor like the monks had in GW1.
5) Help out the mesmers. I don’t play mesmer, but when I’m in a team with them they are way too squishy. I have a mesmer that I got up a little past level 40 so I could use portals, but he is just so horrible in PvE. On that note, they seem to hold their own in PvP because the clones cause confusion to newer players.
6) Buff legendary weapons and cultural armor.
7) Do something about reviving downed allies. I’ve been in plenty of pugs and one pattern to failure I notice; one person goes down and others go to revive, they quickly find themselves downed as well. I think mostly because the AoE will hurt both as well as stop the downed player from using their healing skill. So pretty much it’s help your downed team member and very possibly go down with them, or watch him sit there and die. Unless if he/she is a ranger in which case they normally get back up.
8) Add a decent target healing skill to each class. This wouldn’t be bringing back monks, but sometimes our friends just need a little help, and I’m not talking about a regen skill. Full on heal for ~ 1000.
9) Profession based armor designs.
10) Ritualist.
11) Make some achievements worth more. Please. Making so many achievements only worth 10 points a rank makes it discouraging to work for the harder ones. I do it anyway, because I love achievements. Still, it sucks when I have more achievements than other people and they are not too far behind me in points simple because they do repetitive dailies that I obviously don’t bother with when I need a break from gaming. Personally I don’t see the point in rewarding achievement points for dailies at all, players already get karma, an item, gold, experience, and laurels from them. That’s FOUR types of currency for doing something that can generally be done in ~ 30 min. I don’t think the community would be hurt by this either; I never hear “YEA BUDDY! I just got x amount of achievement points for my dailies!!!!” Daily it’s a total of 15 points. Maxed out slayer achievements only reward 16, 1 less from doing something that takes a whole of 30 minutes. Maxing out a tradesman achievement only rewards 40 points total. 3 dailes and you have more points, gold, and karma, don’t know about experience, than someone that spent more than 1.5 hours and/or gold on maxing out something like Chef.
12) I’ll finish this with another achievement based suggestion. Make achievement points worth something. It would be cool to see a shop for special items, or even extra strengths like seen in the WvW ability points. Maybe rank emotes like the PvP ones?
Anyway, sorry about this dump and I have more suggestions; just can’t think of them right now as it’s 5:17 am here and I can’t sleep.
I was playing a pvp match in the map with the Guild Lord you try to kill. A guardian used a skill with KD and i was knocked underground, and transported to their gate. I couldn’t get out or use skills even though I could see other players above me. I also couldn’t wp out because it was contested =.=
Attached is a screen shot of this incident.
