Does Arena net have any plans on making our pets movements any better? For example if i am on a ledge my pet has to find a way down from the ledge and then make its way to the target. On maps such as forest this means my pet has to run around the whole map just so it can get into the action. Meanwhile you see mesmer decoys running off edges to their targets all the time.

Hey my name is Daniel(21 years old), I’ve been playing GW2 and pvping for a while now and just recently i have been interested in finding a team to play with. I roll a guardian, warrior and ranger and i am able to play any build well with either of those classes. I am usually working until 6pm during the week so i wont be on until 7 on most days .(That’s Eastern Time Zone, i’m Canadian eh.) Weekends i try my best to play but i cant always get on. This schedule will continue until Mid December in which case I will be able to play more often and weekends will be a lot more flexible. Let me know if you are interested i’m usually playing on my guardian so feel free to give me a PM.

I always see people trying to compare GW1 to GW2. Sure GW2 has it flaws as did GW1 however i feel like the character customization in GW2 has way more depth then GW1. I feel extremely attached to all my toons in gw2 as i didn’t really in gw1. The story lines in gw1 were alot better and more epic true, but the story line was also essentially the whole game. Gw1 in my opinion isnt really an mmo but more of a coop experience with MMO aspects. The combat in gw1 i always felt was pretty dull, and i hated how movements were so static, GW2 has the best combat system i have ever seen in an mmo and the PVP is extremely addictive if you get into it which is impressive considering there is only really one game type. To be honest the only few things i would really like to see Anet take from GW1 and put into GW2 is Guild Halls, Guild Capes and the Abilitiy so save and load your kitten builds in game lol. I also feel that both games dungeons were a little lack luster in comparison to games like WoW for example however the way the game mechanics are for both GW1 and GW2 long 4 hour raids simply wouldn’t fit in, especially in GW2. What i would really like to see changed in GW2 however is a more in depth dungeon system that actually required skill. Someone to heal, someone to buff, someone to take the hits rather then a bunch of people specing in pure dps and bursting the target as quick as possible. One last note aswell, please please please bring back to faction system! (Kurzick V.S Luxon could spark a whole new PVP/WvW Phenomenon.)

Has there been any information brought forward on any of these topics?

Dungeons:
Dungeons still seem to lack rewards and I have noticed people are primarily just running the “Cash 5” dungeons and then going back to champion farms in FGS for money.(aside from daily world bosses).. I think that maybe if dungeons could be expanded and made more difficult but offered more rewards then We might actually see a whole new side the dungeon running aspect of this game.
Character Customization / Creation:
As far as character creation goes and customization I think Anet has done a great job. The only thing i would really like to see at this point is new armor skins available through Dungeons, drops, crafting and other events. It would also be awesome if a reputation system could be incorporated into this game such as there was in GW1. As a human I could run around doing event in the shiverpeaks and gaining reputation with the Norn, receiving titles and ultimately once i get the a high enough rank the cultural armor would be available to other races. I understand that due to textures and meshes this could be difficult for anet however I do believe it is achievable and it would add some more permanent content for players to go for.
Builds con’t
The only thing i would really like to see added to this game is the Build template from GW1. I truly believe anyone that played GW1 would more than just agree with me on this subject. Being able to save and load templates on the go was very nice and it kept us from losing builds. I understand that we have websites like intothemists and gw2buildeditor at our disposal however it would still be much more convenient to see this within the game its self. This could also potentially lead to more Build discoveries as players would be willing to switch their builds up more often because they would not need to memorize, write down or save a web link to remember their current build.
Mounts:
Now i know this is a very touchy subject and arguments have gone on for a while back and fourth on the forums however I still am pro to this idea. While i agree we dont need them due to the way point system I think mounts could add a whole new level of gameplay. Firstly mounts could be unlock able through different events that can be completed. Rare drops off dungeons, champions and adds. Going back to my reputation idea, their could be different mounts that different races had and with enough reputation we could then buy these mounts. I also thing mounted combat (a long stretch, and alot of work for ANET) would be awesome. Imagine in WVW you and a group are trying to hold off a tower and the points are down to the wire near the end of a season. The zerg is about to get in when you finally have a group of players from you server stampede through the opposing zerg, this would be awesome. (maybe i am just dreaming because I watched LOTR the two towers last night and the scene with Gandalf during the battle of helms deep inspired me lol.) I doubt we will see any kind of mount system added to the game minus the flying broom, but it would be interesting to see what ANET could do with this idea.
Please feel free to add your own comments, criticize my ideas or build on them I think this could spark some interesting debates/discussions and perhaps even grab some moderators attentions.

Before I start I would firstly like to point out that so far I believe everything that ANET has done with this game is Fantastic. Once this new April patch comes out many issues will be fixed and many requests that players have brought forward will be released. Finally pvp will become very worthwhile and their will be a whole new assortment of build customization and of course character customization due to the new wardrobe content.
General Content:
I think for the meantime the game play of the game itself is quite sound. There are plenty of build choices and with all these new traits coming out and buffs/nerfs to classes the combat and team play in gw2 should see come nice changes in both PVE and PVP. I would however like to seet ANET now maybe put aside class balances, new traits and different stat combos for weapons and armor for a bit and start to focus on some more permanent content. I believe I speak for many when I say that I would love to see an expansion come out, with new quests to add to our story line offering new rewards, new dungeons and races. Weapons and weapon type ex. Spears, scythes, crossbows etc. It would also be nice to see weapons extended to other races, for example I main a Guardian and i think the idea of running with an Axe or Bow would be awesome. Im sure some of the ideas have probably come up in past forums that I may have not read or seen however, I am just trying to express my opinions.
Races/classes:
Now i know for sure this has been brought up many times and ANET has confirmed that they do plan on bringing in new races/classes eventually. Its just a matter of when will players see this change be made? Will these new classes come with new land? It would be awesome to be abel to get back into the Cantha and Elona regions if possible. Some feed back on this subject would be really nice to have.
Bosses:
While the world Bosses for the most part are pretty fun, I believe only a few of them are actually “tough” per say and require tactics and good team work. Fighting the dragons has been pretty cool and the whole lore and story behind them is also quite fascinating and I have no issues with it. I do recall however in GW1 Nightfall, the end game material we were faced with was Fighting and defeating Abbadon which then lead to Kormirs Godly ascension. This for me was one of the most epic moments I have ever seen or witnessed in a video game. The idea of being able to kill a god/anti god with extreme power like abbadon was really cool and I would like to see a boss fight like this be added to the game.
Fractals:
Fractals is a very unique and great dungeon system that ANET established, and to be honest i believe it has great potential to set a bar for other MMOs when it comes to raid systems/dungeons. There is one thing I have noticed and maybe its just me but I feel like Fractals still lacks something that really pulls the audience in. When it comes to something like WvW we hear about the zergs and destroying walls, taking over castles and fighting other big groups and right away people are thinking wow I want to get in on this. PVP has tournaments that allow us to have a chance to win gems, money and with this new tournament we can even win Legendary weapons. These are aspects that really pull an audience into the certain game play. I would like to see them add something to Fractals that would do this, I also thing it would be kind of cool to see what it might be like if you were able to run a 10man party. This may seem obscured but it is just some food for thought.
