T- Person to person trading is non-existent, so there is no need of a major hub in the game. The trading post is nameless and faceless.
You know I actually prefer this method compared to person to person trading. Lesser chances of person to person scamming and not really much of marketing monopoly like I’ve seen in many MMOs. It actually kinda makes the in game market rather stable IMO.
Me too. I derive most of my income from the trading post, and particularly enjoy everything market related. It’s not that I mind interacting with people, but there’s a certain tediousness in having to do so – especially if you want to start dealing with large volumes.
What i’m trying to say is that the instant post-from-anywhere mechanic is yet another small factor that makes towns and cities feel less necessary. It’s not just this one attribute by any stretch, but this is one that I feel contributes to the overall feeling.
I agree. It gets annoying having to shout at towns “WTS this WTB that” and not to mention some buyers request for discount to buy at bulk. In addition, a flooded chat channel, with people repeating the same buying and selling. That is not the norm for GW2. If we want something, just buy it straight of the black lion trading or auction at the price we want and wait. Seriously the prices for many of the items are very reasonable and demand for the items are really high. It honestly it beats camping at major cities and shouting “WTS this WTB that”. It takes a little getting used to it but it’s a very efficient system.

- The deposit all function performs the majority of the role of a bank, in an instant.
This function has most probably saved many of us from a “full bag” situation, not to mention banks are so so far away and they mostly reside in Major cities only.
- There are portals and paths in the game that lead here and there, but waypoints lead anywhere and everywhere in the game in an instant. The only advantage of a portal is that it is free.
Correct me if I am wrong but are you implying that waypoints should be removed or something like that? If it is, I think it isn’t really a good idea. Imagine running 15 mins pass mountainous terrain and a “Battlefield” to get to sorrow’s embrace or a whole length of a map to get to twilight arbor. It would be rather time consuming.
Every game has something that makes it unique and all those function actually are some of the unique points of GW2.

I will always wait until the ranger receives it’s due. I will never abandon the class, even if it seems it already has been. I will trek through a community that does not want my class around just to show that there are people who will wait as long as it takes. We just all hope that we are not left out to dry too much longer.
We’ve already taken many hits and many have already left our numbers or left the game entirely. Let the rest of us remain to show ANet that we truly do love the class, despite what love we have not been shown in return.
Yours truly,
A dedicated ANet and ranger fan.
I will wait along side you. I am another “Die hard” ranger as well. I may face some bad or harsh criticism I might see in dungeon parties but so be it. We will prove that rangers are not just “rare and useless like a pile of putrid essence.”
A sentence comes into mind. “The heart may be weak, and sometimes give in. But deep down there’s a light that never goes out.”
I think this picture does suit: Light at the end of the tunnel
no they dont play the game very much anymore…if they did…they wouldnt have nerfed rangers as much..
honestly they need a developer for playing every class in the game, and not just learning one build either, they need to use every single weapon, trait, skill, elite etc etc…and then and only then decide what needs to be fixed!
Just get all the players with 8 classes to provide feedback of it. I bet there are some out there.
following up from the previous post, here’s my 8th charr, an engineer
Ok… firstly I am really sorry for flooding this thread with photos. 8 charrs are a lot of toons. But I finally got them all ready. Plz dun freak out~
First is my main and it goes accordingly down to the last charr I made.
And you haven’t told me about the rate you are gona charge me to put all 8 in 1 portrait =x
And apologies again, I used up all my gold on my engineer so i kinda broke now. Will need some time to muster that 15 gold if u are still charging me by that rate =x

Curious note: Is it possible to draw a portrait of 8 characters inside???

And will the standard charges apply or will it be a surplus for me lolx

8/10: points for matching colours, but nightmare armour helmets look really wonky on charr character models.
Haha, if my friend didn’t stop me, I would have put them all in TA armor. I just like the armor for some reason. Save me the gold too lolx.
My charr ele, Cerosi Cataractes
My charrs:
Ranger
Mesmer
Warrior
Thief
Elementalist
Necromancer
Guardian
Engineer
Edit: Added last charr – 8 charrs
(edited by dragonrhapsody.6198)
nice matching outfits, 8/10~
Hmm, not sure which one to rate, lol.
I can’t rate the second one cause truthfully… I can’t even see it!
Overall… 6/10
The two I can see do look like they’d need a good headpiece to even it out.
Maybe it’s cause to me, that type of outfit, doesn’t really work well with Charr characters. (They remind me of those magician bosses from Dead Rising 2.)
Just my opinion though~Here’s my Warrior~
Ops~ i got some new screenshots hope this will make it clearer =x
And there are 7 different charr this time no.8 not ready ><
According to order:
Ranger
Mesmer
Warrior
Theif
Elementalist
Necromancer
Guardian
(edited by dragonrhapsody.6198)
My charr necromancer
Just don’t wear the Twilight Arbor set. You end up looking like a Fairy Godmother. XD
I happen to like it on charr…
8/10
The big shoulders kinda threw me off a little =x but a very awesome matchup =D
I’ve got 8 charr (I luv them <3) but i’ll post only the readied ones. Yes I like TA armor on charr so deal with it
Khallum Dragonscale – Ranger
Varnen Blackmane – Mesmer
Daemon Zephyrus – Warrior
I want to see more charr mesmer!
This topic needs more Charr! There’s too many weak humans here..
Hope this satisify u both =D
Actually just spamming mission events and map completion is an extremely fast way to level. I can guarantee that. I got from 1 to 80 in a week.
Although its damage may not be as impressive as some other classes they can definitely outshoot any other classes. Some pets are also rather impressive with either high output damage or health or “tankyness” and quite abit of crowd control skills. Personally compared to some other classes for me, Rangers are much good evaders. Pets are good for harassing and providing support providing what pets you use example Fern Hounds have regeneration and moderate HP and high toughness (Side complement its beautiful!). Murellow and bears are extreme tankers and moderate damage. I started ranger as a first class and I think its still good.

Actually Charr looks alright being big and all. Personally I kinda like it.
