AR skill > Ebay skill.

However, ebay is a zerg server with 4 zerg guilds holding it together. Ebay is just winning due to population. No skill required.

You’re correct that AR’s skill may be greater than EBay’s skill. However, we’re not just winning due to numbers, we’re winning due to the fact that BP’s strategy is pretty bad, and more than a few of their players don’t have anywhere near the skill both Ebay players and AR players have…plus AR doesn’t have the numbers BP and EB have (this would change the server power significantly).

I’ll outright say it…BP is the weakest link in the skill and strategy department, and are seemingly only making ground due to numbers. Imagine what would happen if AR got a lot more numbers…they’d probably wipe the floor with BP easily and we’d have a REAL fight on our hands since the odds here would change significantly.

Actually, your original question was a solution to the tier. Of course anyone can transfer up at anytime. And like I said before, glicko is getting a patch this month, so it actually does look like someone will be going somewhere. This isn’t the only tier that is tired of stagnant matches.

Piggy is really on a role today, I literally cannot comprehend what his “Sekz History” post even meant, but I can tell you most of it is made up. He literally has no idea what hes talking about anymore.

We’ve only transferred to red servers, and neither of those transfers were to “win”. Going to Ehmry was a move to try and face some more challenging opponents, as you can tell, it hasn’t worked out yet. You really should consider letting Wala-wala post for [WAR], at least hes competent and can type out full thoughts and sentences that we all can read.

We’ll see what gets implemented for the glicko system, but either way T4/T5 will most likely always have this issue. CD and SBI don’t belong here either, they’ll probably smash even harder. Their ratings are just as messed up as ours.

Theoretically, even if we did go to T4 it would eventually end with someone dropping and someone moving back up. Which don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t even mind coming back down to fight whoever is in T5 again, I just want WvW to get a refresh. BP and AR bore me to death, we’ve been watching the same people do the exact same things and use the same old tactics since NSP back in December.

Well see what anerf has in store, hopefully something that benefits both servers.

Yak’s and Mag actually have groups of players who also enjoy open field battle, can field the numbers, and are not just throwing bodies. It was enjoyable for the week it lasted.

My favorite part of this thread is really the fact people think because it takes TWO servers to somewhat hold Ehmry down that we are suddenly failing miserably, of course we are. Borlis would have crumbled before as well if any two servers decided to focus them. I just think it’s kind of funny. :p

With all due respect, Kalkz, I think it is unfair to say that we are beating EBay. As Faux and others have mentioned, the picture is more complex than that. Based upon the screenshot from MOS that you attached, the conclusion we can make is that AR and BP are doing a better job of exceeding their expected performance with respect to our past weeks’ outcomes.

Great job to one and all. Unless I am mistaken, I think we are all generally having much more fun with the current match-up dynamic, and I hope it continues

I have a problem with rekz in that when they’re on a map and only when they’re on a map do I experience high latency and skill lag, I’ve been watching it 3 weeks, and fought them on many occasions.. 1 on 1, great players. But when I hit their zerg is just feels like they’ve found some way to cause the server to lag. I’ve actually taken to completely leaving maps they’re on because I can’t get skills to activate even at spawn. I don’t mean for this to be slander in any way, but not being able to go into wvw because the server itself won’t let me play is getting annoying.

That isn’t to say I’d be upset if they won, I expect low framerates in large engagements, but only when I get on a map where rekz is fighting does everything just stop interface-wise.

(Maybe they’re just video game gods in that they’ve found a way to warp time and space)

I would also like to point out, that when we smash into big zergs, we get skill lag as well.

Interesting times for our guild, our server and this match-up. As a guild philosophy and charter WAR is not interested in alliances with other servers or even other guilds on our own, but we sometimes observe a truce of convenience like yesterday in Ehmry Bay’s home map.

We are not interested in this amazingly stupid new perspective that WvW should be an sPVP playground. Do that where my train can find you and we are going to break it down.

I speak for myself. I’m not like you kittenz, I don’t claim to speak for an entire server. I think your noticing a difference now because before when we ran small man we never really got a chance to play against your bigger guilds, but now that I can it’s apparent how absolutely terrible they are. I’m sorry. I hope you feel somewhat decent though with two servers behind your back, you couldn’t rally your own queue to get anything done you need two full queues to accomplish anything, it’s actually a lot of fun this week good job buddy.

I’ll give it a shot, I’m not as good at trolling as some but I’ll do my best.

[WFD] is complete garbage, they were continually beat up by pugs in our BL tonight before they gave up and went home BL, where they also failed miserably. I didn’t even have to do work, our PUGS were enough to hold their guild group. I just sat there drinking a smoothie watching the PUGSvGuild battles. (Did [WFD] get a new member? They seem worse then before…)

This double team has been really enjoyable, after Ehmry took a break Saturday and Sunday (we have mothers) we’ll finish off this week like we do every week, except both servers will be tossed into the same dumpster. Sure the PTT looks a little different this week, the dumpster is filling up so fast we can’t keep on top of it, slowing us down by throwing all those bodies at lowlands!
How was that? I know it’s not the best troll but I’m really tired.

Well it sure seems to damage brain cells and induce memory loss rather quickly from my observations. Seems like some pretty potent stuff.

I really should just take a weekend and do some analysis on it and come up with a more set list of side-effects. But from preliminary observations I think you are right, I think I can safely say for now that some side-effects include:

1) Memory loss
2) Overconfidence
3) Can cause mood swings

What really worries me though is how much it’s pushed in today’s culture. For instance, I just walked back from a coffee run and I saw two underage kids in an alley way downing a bottle of said kool-aid. Really makes me sad, I think it’s our job as adults and parents to teach our kids the consequences of going down such a dark and lonely path.

Anyways, I guess it’s just because I have 12 kids that I’m getting so emotional about this, but when you’ve known close friends who have been addicted and eventually become non-functional because of Kalkz Kool-Aid, you tend to take it really personally. I’m going to go cry and get back to work, this is bringing back too many memories…

I know these transfers are crazy. I just don’t understand why everyone went to Ehmry and not Borlis, I continually see what a tightly knit community of dedicated WvW players they have, a really solid NA presence. I’ve honestly heard nothing but good things about BP and I would keep it in mind if you are thinking about transferring servers (and miss out on all the fun Anvil is going to have in a T6 match up). Looking forward to SF, if they can pull it together and not be weekend warriors.

Hello, I have left GW2 for Hello Kitty Online because of the nightmares I’ve had about the state of WVW. In my nightmare, ANET buffed range of arrow carts again to balance against unnecessary warrior buffs that weren’t needed except for spvp.

Consequently, because of old habits, my new guild in HKO are getting called bots because we ballup tight while we speed clear Tuna Island with my 50 man skill group.

With 2-3 guys, I kill dolyak, take camps, disturb zerg, sometime wipe them. We break siege, steal tower (when bored) and destroy reinforcement.

Borderland get boring because you have few roamers, and one big native zerg going around.

Eternal Battleground is zergy too, but you also have freaking siege hitting you everywhere you go. You have to fight knowing that half your HP will be gone via random siege hitting you.

I’m really wondering what kind of player stay 1-2 hour on a cannon shooting people. How boring is it?

I can’t really take a small man roamers opinion on server population seriously, of course it’s irrelevant to you. I remember back in the NSP/AR/BP match up groups of 10 were considered zergs, pleaseeeeeee. Go watch some T1-T3 videos and tell me how big and mean T5 is. Also, I’m sure you could spend a relaxing week in PvE and save the big gold to transfer to T8 where all the small mans play and have good fights in the ruins and high five er’night. But be careful from what I’ve heard there are pretty insane zergs in T8 too.

Pretty sure Anvil as a whole wants to evolve and become a contender in higher tiers, as does every server. I said losing bodies doesn’t help Anvil, and I’m pretty sure there is no argument to counter that. I don’t blame AR for wanting to temporarily drop a tier and get back some of the fair weathers, nobody in this tier belongs where they are at currently. I didn’t say anything about AR not having fun, you can still frolic around behind the windmill flip south camp or whatever solo roamers do in WvW these days.

AR has come a long way over the last few months, you’re free to draw conclusions on what we are/were based on that but it’s the truth. We’re really burdened by numbers restrictions but we’ve climbed to our meager position without any large influx of transfers, so yes we do have progressed in terms of WvW ability but we’re not claiming to be any sort of powerhouse. That being said, we have lost a good number of players recently, including a few prominent ones who were leaders in terms of getting the PuGs to perform upkeep on our towers so we’re going to miss them (bradderz… I miss our morning yak walks hand in weird asura meat claw), but we’ve lost plenty of prominent players and guilds in the past and it’s always just a temporary setback.

I mean, any OG AR will remember the ARC and it’s rise and fall. kitten piles on and the determined/crazy/stupid AR regulars such as myself will keep on keeping on.

That being said, I know a lot of AR guys wouldn’t mind dropping a tier. This matchu kitten tale as three month old bread and as it stands the most likely change we’re going to see is us dropping. If that’s what has to happen, so be it. If a T4 guild falls and EBay goes up, I’m willing to bet it’d be more of the same if not worse than the current situation so whatever change in the matchup comes I’d rather see it sooner than later.

No argument there, I just find it funny how he shrugs off losing bodies as irrelevant.

Once you zerg out roamers, you /laugh and /dance on them. But if you aren’t in your zerg, run behind your guard.

But it’s ok too, since most of them aren’t build to counter roamer. Most are build around spamming their AoE without targetting.

I sure did, and I am glad I did.

Mad Props to Rekz and Pk, they were absolutely determined to take that keep despite being wiped a couple times. While they were running back, AR would take their turn. In the end, EBay was able to bait some of our guys to the North Inner gate and wiped half of em.

It was literally a non-stop, hour long fight right in front of the Lord Room. Although, I did manage to cut out some boring auto-attacking and some fast forwarding to get it down to 20 mins. Thanks to everyone involved in that fight, was epic fun.

Next to Kalkz he might be the most delusional Borlis Invader (and footman, the highest Borlis rank according to Kalkz ). It’s not WvWW piggy, I think Ehmry has shown we can lock down all four borderlands when we need to. I know you really have a crush on Anvil and want to hold hands and ride off into the sunset, but it’s not going to happen. But feel free to post your favorite screenshot that might happen in the early morning hours when nobody is on. That’ll do pig, that’ll do.

It’s always so surprising how different sides interpret fights so differently.

By reading some of these posts you would think WFD are some kind of tactical geniuses. What you didn’t see was Watching Friends Die turn tail and run most of the night, until they got at least +15-20 more to their numbers to back them up, which they all still died in the end. WFD really should remove the semi-hardcore notation they gave themselves, every time I hear that I can’t stop laughing, the thought of it is just absurd. One or two mentions and suddenly WFD is like, someone knows we exist guys! OMGOMGOMGOMG semi-hardcore #2013WFDGoingTier1JBYOLOLOL! Which was totally awesome, don’t get me wrong I saw WFD man up like, 1-2 days after that then they realized calling themselves semi-hardcore didn’t actually make them any better, and slowly trickled back to their old game style, running.

Anyways, getting that off my chest was worth an infraction. Hope to see [WAR] out there tonight! The only guys we look forward to fighting and we didn’t get to bump into them yesterday.

Anyway, it was fun wiping Rekz outside the gates of bay, and then again inside Bay’s lords room FTW. Oh and earlier at BP Garrison. And yea you guys took us down a few times as well. It was fun.

Anyway, yea we had fun on the hill for the few minutes we were up there and kudos to you for trying to charge up the hill the first few times, but don’t call it cowardice. I think we set up trebs more or less to get you guys out of the tower, and it worked. But once you were out we were holding a good position on a hill; why would we give that up? I was kind of sad that we WP for a different target and left the PUGs to their fate because I think that dance could have lasted a bit longer. (and we don’t get to dance like that enough).

AR will learn that we don’t want to attack them, we don’t like flipping all of AR, or engaging on any of ARs towers. Because BP does not like bottom feeding. However, if thats the only game that AR knows, BP will bottom feed on them.

IF AR sharpens up then BP will keep hitting ebay like we have always.

Borlis started “bottom feeding” pretty quick once they were red.

I thought last time queue data was released Borlis’ prime time was only an hour or two before ours, didn’t seem to affect last reset. Not sure what testpig is going on about, but whatever he is smoking I want some.

For anyone who is keeping track, here are the many reasons why Borlis isn’t winning.

1) Being double teamed
2) Ehmry is being carried by transfers
3) Our pugs are bad
4) We don’t have enough numbers
5) AR night capped us
6) AR wont play paddy cake with us, those back stabbing traitors!

No Kalkz was not leading, I was. Kalkz was back home in BP border upgrading And keeping it clear. Kalkz chest pumps and to other servers is the main person on the block, every server has those. Is it wrong? No, it’s intimidation and in my mind a completely acceptable thing to get under the enemies skin.

This was my favorite part. :p Nothing intimidating about trolling and night capping. It is what keeps me going this match.

Ebay certainly kicking some kitten this is true. Though to be fair, Borlis Pass has stopped fighting Ebay and is focusing solely on Anvil Rock. They just can’t figure out its the duty of the weaker servers to ruin it for the stronger, but instead they just kept going into our keeps while we were trying to wreck Ebay borderlands. We got tired of constantly being back doored by AR while we tried to fight Ebay, so now AR is gonna be the red team in this tier. On the plus side though, this means Ebay may finally get their wish and move up a tier. Still a long time till friday though.

Lets be honest here. You got tired of coming in 3rd , so now your playing for 2nd.

This gotta be a joke, no you MUST be joking. what we’ve done in ONE DAY to get a 10k lead on you is to show you that we can also play for 2nd. like i said YESTERDAY me and some guilds are going to focus AR instead of Ebay and now you’re over 10k behind. and that was just ONE day. our crew managed to hold ebay hills for 18 hours, use your brain for a minute here mr. -K
