Awesome job Blackgate, get ready for hundreds of people transfering/guesting. But seriously you guys have crap load of cooperation and time to actually do this for loot worth maybe 4g? Man The only reason I’ll probably do this is for the achievements (im a hunter) and if Blackgate keeps up the record, I guess I know where I will be guesting.

Blackgate already has a community teamspeak and with the amount of wvw we do it just comes naturally to co-ordinate. If you have the resources, why not use them.

I’m sure most other larger-population servers will be able to complete it ezpz, but it just requires a bit of effort and communication. People are too used to auto-attacking bosses and expecting rewards.

From what I’ve been seeing, you need 4 commander tags: 1 Left Turret, 1 Left Ranged DPS, 1 Right Turret, 1 Right Ranged DPS.

The Turret commanders lead players that are protecting the turret users. Their job is to direct the destruction of fingers, kill mobs, and ensure the safety of the turrets.

The DPS commanders are markers. they stand IN FRONT of the turrets while the turret users spam 4 and 5 on them and the mob surrounding them.

Players on turrets are VERY important. They need to understand that they are pressing #2 for scales, # 4 for buffing the DPS commander markers, and #3 to remove poison. Throw in #5 on DPS commander markers to make add heals.

That sounds like a very solid strategy.

Actually, what blackgate did was have only ONE commander for DPS, that way ALL the turrets focused on a very small area, giving permanent swiftness and easy access.

This issue/solution sounds like you have a massive gaping wound in your leg, and nurse anet has gone and put a hello kitty plaster on it in an attempt to fix it.

From what I gather, there’s quite a few EU people out there that are happy with this change. But while it’s fixing EU, it’s effectively breaking NA. There are multiple large guilds on different servers who are primarily West Coast NA. If your guild does not get in during reset, then you will have to wait a good few hours in order to zone a decent amount of your guild in to any borderland (not going to even start on EBG) and make a difference.

Not just this, but if you’re in an Oceanic guild that played at reset then good bloody luck trying to get Kiwis and Aussies up at 8am on a Saturday morning now.

While EU may have it better, it doesn’t actually solve the problem – just moving it from one region to another.

This is such an amazing idea. I’m not usually one for pve but this would bring me back to Orr on a regular basis.

Additionally there are probably quite a few people out there who are intimidated by wvw and how complex it may seem – doing something like this would introduce them to the main tactics and how much fun wvw can be ^__^

(Think a lot had to visit the in-laws or deal with kids all day..Gotta love holidays!)

Best I’ve seen is a drunk group, running up and forgetting what they were going to do.

I lol’d. Would have liked to see more drunk tactics and hilarious wvw ensue over this holiday season to be honest. Things like this make everyone realise at the end of the day it’s just a game. ^__^
