Do you understand this match up at all? There is no point in even WvW’ing against your server with anything less than 5. Your server has 0 roaming guilds they all zerg with 20+ running from objective to objective.

If you really want a fair fight I’m pretty sure it’s been posted who to message to set something up. Feel free to take advantage of that.

ps- it sounds like your “group” was trying to zerg someone 3v1 and failed.

I know your head starts to hurt when you actually have to think in WvW hopefully Anet realizes that and throws your garbage server a bone.

Shout out to the [PoPo] ranger from SF who spammed laugh on me after taking 10 minutes to kill me in a 1v6 fight. Then finding me 2v2 with your guildmate, getting crushed multiple times, then rage logging.

I’m assuming you are from ET. If you are the high WvW rank commander that leads the large ET zerg I have a question for you.

It’s clear SF has by far the highest population in this match up. Why on earth does ET takes it’s largest force and attacks the lowest population (DR) borderland? Are you afraid of anything other than PvD or situations where you don’t outnumber your opponent?

It’s interesting how every match up there is always one server that has double the other two servers population and yet every week it continues to be a 2v1 where the 1 is always the least populated server. I go into SF BL and there is no one ever attacking it other than camp/sentry flippers.

If you want a guide to power builds here is one.

Use power builds for group roaming or zerg WvW. That is the time when power builds will outshine a condition bunker build as a Ranger. Every other situation such as 1v1, spvp, and 1vX condition bunker builds are better.

Speaking of spam they need to add they need a keep alert system like in DAOC.

If my guild owns a keep and it gets attacked a message should show up in gchat.

BM bunker build is still strong to the point I switched specs out of boredom. These boards are so far off when it comes to the current state of the ranger… but then again so is every class board.

If they add more maps to the WvW queue this will only kill smaller servers. Small servers can’t even fill the current 4 zones this is just another advantage to the higher population servers.

Max golems I’ve seen in lower tier match ups are 3-4. If you actually want to do real WvW try transferring to a lower tier server. The zergs actually fight each other without siege… basically everything you are looking for is in the lower tiers you just refuse to transfer to them so don’t complain about it.

The quality isn’t that great, but it’s about 8 guys plus 2 ACs up against those waves of red. You can tell some of them are relatively coordinated, not just pugs. “Oh you’re using siege, that’s a cheap move and demonstrates nothing about your playing skill”. What’s stopping you from building counter siege, say a treb from SM, and destroying our ACs?

This is a demonstration of 30 minutes of competence (cut down to 12), as opposed to say, a chance 3v2 encounter where some of the guys may not even be properly geared and going up against gimmicky duelling builds. Yes yes I know, any 10 guys on voice comm could do the same, but please do take videos so I can admire them, because I really haven’t personally seen this done by either FC or DR. I’m sure it’s happened, just never been on the receiving end.

I’ll be sure to take screenshots next time I go roaming and show you the other side of the coin.

k first of all let me tell you this build sucks for dueling but if you have 4-5 players in front of you it’s full of lulz and pewpew.

so main weapon is LB (berserker) with fire rune
secondary is greatsword (knight) for mobility and block

traits 30/30/10/0/0
marksmanship 1,10,11
squirm 2,10,12
wilderness 10

armor : knight except chest which is berserker rune is divinity
jewelry: berserker amulet, 2 berserker accessory, 2 cavalier ring

utility : lighting reflex, quickning zephyr, signet of stone

you can replace number 11 on markmanship by piercing arrow for even more pewpew but signet of stone’s invul can save you from bad thieves spamming HS.
other than that this is by far the funniest build i found on ranger

I’ll reserve judgement until I am part of the group you miraculously wiped. Also note, small man engagements are a whole different beast to zerg busting and medium group vs group fights, and I did emphasise that we aren’t top notch duellists or 3 man pew pew teams. If I was deliberately roaming with a small man team, I’d be taking the rangers and thieves, which will easily squish the team builds TFH is running when we wvw in an equal fight or even outnumbered. That’s an entirely different story and bears no relevance on the original point.

It should also occur to you that since we’re running as a team, it shouldn’t be too surprising when the rest of the team runs over you after you picked off the scouts or stragglers. That’s kind of their job.

I’m glad you find my responses so hipster, but I’m rather insulted you think it takes me that long to type it up. I have to write 1.5k word essays in 40 minutes for upcoming academic exams, so I like to think that I’m picking up my game for that by practising the necessary skills here.

So basically servers that are ranked near 13th will have an inc of mass transfers to try to be a top team in the lower league. Meanwhile the bottom servers of each league will just lose more people to these servers.

We actually have video recordings of the wipes, with clear numbers displayed on both sides. But of course, no one is ever going to be impressed by them because “any 10 guys with voice comm can do the same”. So moot point right from the start.

Also like I said earlier, the reason why the first brag post came about was because
1) People get bored and bring the battlefield with them to the forums. Happens all the time.

Your reward will be based on the server you log into the first time once the season starts. You can transfer as much as you like, but you will still get the reward from that first server.

Which means everyone is going to transfer off low tier servers now. Why hasn’t ANET done anything to promote people coming to lower tier servers? I mean transfers to bottom tier servers should be free. That would be a good start. You can also do server type buffs (WvW exp, magic find, gold increases) to also promote these servers.

Well this birthday booster is OP. Ranger from rank 15 to 42 and still have 12 hours left on this buff…

You actually get a lot of WvW points now killing players since the WvW point changes. High rank players are worth 50+ WvW points. If you kill an entire zerg you easily can get 500+ WvW points.

I think it will take a while for people to realize this though.

Had a fun time solo roaming(running my kitten off ) in AR BL tonight. Was a pretty hectic time until I was lucky enough to run into Silent being his awesome self in his usual place.

There was a pretty crazy strong DR ele scout I fought at some point, he didn’t spike me. Dunno who you are, but you sir earned your self a new fan with that absurdly good balance of damage/tankability. Certainly one of the most imposing eles I’ve fought so far.

What is your spec? Pretty new to Ranger and I’ve been messing around with roaming specs and from your SS haven’t tried yours (judging by utility skills you’re using). I’m pretty bored of running traps and spirit builds.

I do have a question to the folks from CORE at North camp about 7 am cst… it was 2 on 1… whats with the 3 add ins after I downed one of ya.

Was 1 add in. I was him. And no one was downed. Was you vs 2 CORE members. Then your friends showed.

The 5 people that came through the gate aggroing the spectators (me), and the siege built to get the North camp caused that. North of your primary spawn. lol. Yes you wiped us eventually. Yes I Whomped you. But it was only to thin the herd before your friends hopped in and cleared us out.

Siege though? Dang.

OH! The no guild repping Asura Ranger rolling spirits. Man you’re a PITA to kill. It’s nice to see Rangers causing so much trouble. A few people are sincerely interested in what you’re rolling…dodgy little arrow cart person.

Fun fight but I was unable to stomp targets I downed without fury up

Build is a spirit build with only 2 spirits actually used. The root and blind spirits. I run fury elite so I can have stability for stomps and not getting cc’d. Also run the 25% movement speed signet because roaming without speed is just depressing.

Shortbow / Sword & Dagger with 2 CC dog pets (fear / aoe immobilize).

It’s not a difficult build to play damage wise but for 1 vs many the challenge is using CC’s correctly since ranger mobility is terrible.
