It was supposed to be just another armor set. And notice that there are slight differences between Anise’s armor, and the set worn in this video (skirt/pants, the shoulder thing Anise has).

well well its been a long time since i watched that trailer, now when i watch it, wish the portal would last that long, wish i could summon two duelist at a time and insta-kill a skelk with shattering two phantasm, and more importantly the sound effect of duelist’s pistol and greatsword (and tey should change asura’s GS animation into one like in the vid/the human’s/silvary’s one)

yea, happened to me too, i used BLSK and salvaged 3-4 rares from dragons, could not get any ecto
i mean, before patch, i could always get ectos from these rares, and they were of lev > 68

i dont like comparison with other games, could lead to unpleasant arguments, beside people enjoy different things, i think comparison is just unnecessary

and then dont get to close to warriors and guardians or you get kittened, everybody makes space in every fight! or kite your enemies into their nearest melee attacker friends!

Just use pistol mainhand. Great range, awesome AoE and single target damage.
Phantasmal Sniper one-hits most normal mobs too.

I got shot by a mesmer that was using rifle, one hit kill and teh bullet exploded with purple electric mushroom nuke cloud and killed all the other things around me as well

i still have no idea what trait he/she was using and where he/she stood targeting me at that time

It would be cool if next time we do some chain event like in Orr because fighting enemies with a lot illusions is just cool, but it wouldn’t be that cool if we fight dragon tho since it doesn’t really matter (because of the way we fight dragon, the significance of illusion being there doesn’t really show up, this is just my opinion)

I play asura myself, Radiation field allows us to use poison which we otherwise wouldn’t have so it’s good in dungeons for bosses/mobs that have a lot of healing output when there are no other professions with you who are better at applying reliable poison.

and golem in some cases can distract melee enemy

I AGREE COMPLETELY, i’m jelly with with mesmer of other races, it would be great if anet consider adding cooler animation, but i agree this is not a complaint, it is just nice if they change it

I’ve been part of an impromptu group that did this in Lion’s Arch on Tarnish Coast. We actually had enough dps to kill training dummies. The warrior that was within melee range of it had 25 consistent stacks of might. I can only imagine the length of fury. And there is nothing scarier than seeing 15+ mesmers shatter at the same time!

I and many other have shared similar ideas. That’s why we have started the guild, Dopplegankers. Right now there are very few of us and I let things slip because I was working on a new build. However, since we have guesting now, it’s time I went into recruitment overdrive! So far, the only rules are you have to be a mesmer and you have to represent the guild as said mesmer. I don’t care what you do on your other toons.

After the ball gets rolling, I plan on all mesmer dungeon runs maybe a few pvp bouts. We can also screw with everyone’s head in the mist wars. Can you imagine what an enemy zerg will think when they see 15+ portals in their path?

I too have had the portal express thought. I’m still trying to find out what the range is but to move a our zerg completely across the map in seconds could easily turn the tide of any battle.

there is a thread here titled something-“immortal mesmer” that i think is really good, i run similar mesmer and except orr, i can run around solo pve map without much trouble, even fighting the champ

i think everybody should stop posting on creative build in public forum like this one since somebody else will think it is OP and too good and would give Anet idea to do another nerfing

I think people are a bit too scared of the term “overpowered”, because they read it to mean that it must be nerfed.

As I understand it, the desire to nerf Illusionary Persona is not to weaken Mesmers, but to re-balance them by making the trait weaker, and compensating by spread the effects out elsewhere, or possibly to buff the shatters baseline.

Illusionary Persona is – much like Deceptive Evasion – so powerful a trait that it re-defines our playstyle. I believe that traits should enhance playstyles, not define them. At least not to such an extent that playing without them feels like doing yourself a great, great disservice.

Playing with a new tank/phantasm build. Never shattered while playing and never even summoned a clone… Full time regen and protection though. So these traits do not re-define play styles. I love the shatter build and those two traits are necessary for a shatter build just like the phant regen/retaliation is necessary for phantasm/bunker build. You pick traits that compliment the build you want to focus and that is how it should be.

then maybe the protection and phantasm regen/retaliation and phantasms in general are OP too so it needs to be nerfed
