You got your answer today, the patch notes include the first in a role out of optimization updates, it might not fix everything right away but shows they are working on optimizing the game to fix the issues.

This should be enough for people in my opinion, the fact they admitted fault and are obviously working behind the scenes. Anyone who played lotro in the last 2 years will understand (imagine the skill lag in a huge wvw fight only apply it to 12 people in a raid that they cannot do not matter what, skills will just not work)

Didn’t you guys get WVW guilds come from Kodash? Thats what has been said so then you arent really that much of a pug server. And there was a noticeable change in your performance, you lost one week then suddenly destroying everything the next, so something did change whether you are willing to admit it or not.

Few observations about this week
1- Gandara are great to play against, even if they whoop our (fsp) kitten you can’t help but like how they did it and give credit
2- Have Gandara got new night guilds? I don’t remember from last time you having a strong night presence as much but kudos to you, you have strength to be proud off 24/7
3- no one likes playing with Germans any more, no matter the server (Lol sorry but seems to be the reoccurring theme in all the match posts)

Feeling your pains AG, FSP knows it only too well. We had people given up wvw because of it, and they still haven’t come back, ME are similar to AM so lets just hope you don’t end up in a tier with them both.

Actually If you count the red names, not including the pets etc 25 is fairly accurate. Just playing devil’s advocate, but you can count around the 25 mark.

First of all i want to start off by saying grats to the “Omega Red” Guild on FS. For having a hacking warrior. Nice trick running over the walls. Pitty you ran off when i found you.
I am not putting FS down as a hack server btw. just that one person.

For the rest, nice fights so far. Nice fast cap on WC by FS ^^ that kinda got us by surprise

Never even seen that guild in FS, but will keep an eye out an report if I see Hacking. Unfortunately there are hackers on every server

p.s I noticed some spawn point camping by a large Millers group today, I really hope that is a one time event and not reoccurring, its a tactic that’s unbecoming of any of us in my opinion.

Anyway, the voice actor…I would like to know if he also did voice acting work for a Playstation game called Urban Chaos, which has a main character called Darcy Stern. I loved that game lol, almost certain its the same voice but its driving me insane not knowing for sure, anyone else know the voice/game or can anet answer?

Actually with some research it seems this problem has happened to quite a lot of people, just one character on their account having the issue, not entirely sure what its about, hopefully gets seen too soon as that character is my main and favourite

Update, after many a forced client crash and relogging I loaded into Lornars pass, I figured I best take my mesmer to a city and put money in the bank in case alts needed the funds, alas I am now in a Loading screen loops for Divinty’s reach and I cannot get in

Hello there, I have had this issue for a few days, I took my main character, a mesmer, to Straits of Devastation to complete Temple events. While there I encounter serve lag, I was moving around fine but none of the npcs where moving at all, I could not use any skills or use any waypoints. I clicked a wp many times and nothing, about 10 minutes goes by and a loading screen comes up and it flickers, then the client crashes. Last night it was a guild event and I needed that character, through persistence and constantly having to crash the client I managed to get to lornars pass for a bounty where I suffered the same issue, I am currently stuck in a loading screen there. This is all just on one character, all my other characters are just fine. I have a GTX670 with all driver updated, and no ISP problems. I am aware this has been mentioned before but I feel it deserves to be brought to attention again and some advice/support would be helpful.

I personally feel this type of bug should be of the highest priority to be fixed by Anet as to have a character unplayable (especially a main) is a very negative aspect.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get out of the issue?

Last nights reset was an homage to one of our dead friends. He used to always play the reset and a lot of WvW with us, and he loved having fun.

Skill lag, as many here have pointed out, is a server side issue. Your PC’s components will not have any impact on it.

This is so refreshing after playing LOTRO and having Turbine tell us the lag we all experienced at the exact same time (despite the population being from many countries) was the player’s internet service provider or player’s hardware issue.

Had some great fights last night @ Hills on FSB against both servers.
But… there’s one but, and yes.. it’s an excuse… but I think (hope) everyone has trouble with it…

The skill lag, dodge lag, attunement switch lag.. and most importan … “press F to loot” – lag

It is not just you, I have seen a good amount of people talk about it in chat, for me it only really is an issue on the massive fights (which happen a lot of AM are involved lol). There is also that awkward moment when you are hitting f to try and get your loot and you realise you have stolen a warrior’s banner by mistake

AM really do have huge numbers, much more than FSP have, and on all borderlands, FR def had a population increase too. No hard feeling though cause really, its working for them so well played, its been fun and nice to see a thread without bitter comments, though I do warn AM, if you ever get promoted to the tier above, you will get a lot of negativity directed towards you by Gandara, and AG to some extent as well, Just ignore it though and keep doing what you are doing.

Mostly I run a phantasm build making the most of 15 points in duelist so every time I crit I stack a bleed, which combined with phantasmal duelist = a LOT of bleeds, I have a very high crit chance and the 8 times a duelist shoots it at least crits 6 times, usually more. For me its a high dps on a single target and is imo the best way for fighting dungeon bosses. But if it is wvw or somewhere with a lot of group mobs then I would go down a clone/ shatter build.

There’s only shatter. If you run anything else to be ‘different’ you’re doing it wrong. Running anything but shatter heavy builds is like playing with one hand and not playing as much as you would with both hands. If you don’t shatter you 1) deal pathetic aoe damage, 2) don’t apply aoe confusion (which isn’t amazing in pve but still free damage), 3) don’t build any Might stack to deal EVEN more damage with everything… Fail if you focus on phantasm crap or anything else.

Personally, everything you said only applies to wvw, maybe spvp though phantasm build has made me top of every match I have ever played, but a shatter aoe build is not the best use of mesmer abilities in most pve circumstances. IMHO of course.

Heh thanks for the offer, very kind of you, but I like FSP- regardless of what’s being thrown around this kitten filled forum post, FSP is a great server and the people have all been very nice to me.

However, it is sad to have read about the mesmer thing. I do not care which server it is, but I would interpret that as an exploit, if I ever see it happening I would report it, evem if it is a person from my own server, call it what you like, defend it if you feel the need too, but in my view its an exploit.

Edit- However only Anet will say whether or not they consider it an exploit, an official comment from them would be nice, though unlikely, that way would let us all know whether it is a tactic that can be used in the future.
