Are you guys all idiots or something? The OP was talking about how much fun the combat is in the center because of its design. OP never once mentioned the buff. I love the redesign. Zergs are essentially useless there because you can easily outmaneuver them. You can usually find small combat all around. It’s also really fun to just ran around in.

I am sorry that you did not comprehend my post. He can not report on the fact that the BL’s are a huge success, he has nothing to support that. He can say that he likes the map, but not announce that they work for EVERYONE.

The unbalance is coming from large group then not from single player stats. Anet can’t fix the zerg mentality btw.
Well, do you agree then, it is silly of them to EXAGGERATE the problem?
One idea for a fix is the Bloodlust buff will act as an automatic territorial buff to keeps, towers and camps. This is along the same lines as the existing WvW Guild buffs for claimed locations.
So like everyone in a cap spot gets the stats and if you’re fighting outside your keeps, towers, or camps everything is normal.
Lots of these are great options that are all better solutions than what is currently in game.
Titan, no one is saying that it makes you god mode. They are saying that it increases the discrepancy in the already uneven playing field.
Titan, that is a silly and invild point. SoR can still be good at farming people, just not have the #’s to get the buff, so an imbalance occurs. Your fail logic is fail.
Ensign, that is a viable fix also. They obviously want the buff, but the buff AND the ppt are too much together. If they would like ppt to be scored in this manner then just add that to the scoring system for everyone. The stat bonuses do also need toned down.
You guys are funny : do you know how much :
150 cond damage is +7 damage per second
150 healing power is +7 hp/sec
150 power is +7 damage per hit
150 tough is like 1% damage mitigation
150 vitality is 1500 hp
150 precision is +7% crit chance
etc…And you guys are complaining on such buff ????!!!!! XOXOXOXO
Lame or you have no idea about game mechanisms and such…
I would be Dev for Anet I would be just laughing and not carring about such complain when you see the real effects on +150 all stats…

Well at a raw, level. These stats still get calculated, often including multipliers. Also when you’re talking zerg ( or a 2 to 1/3 to 1 ratio) encounter, then their effectiveness is also multiplicable.
It’s just that, I’m often amused why players don’t try to adapt to the change and have to have it their own way.

Haha, yeah idk how this turned into being about yak ppt.
One of the biggest draw backs to the buff and the ppt, is that it discourages you from trying to take the buff from the overpowered server. You know you are at a disadvantage going into the fight, and on top of that you might turn into ppt for the other team with absolutely nothing to gain for your efforts. Compare that to going “oh well we can take my 30vX with or without the buff but we can take this keep and actually have a chance to positively affect our score, even if some of us do die and turn into ppt”.
So being outnumbered and try to get the buff = Nothing to gain but a buff, but plenty to lose.
OR
Being outnumbered and forget about the buff = Can still gain ppt for my server by flipping ppt, and disregard fighting for the buff to gain nothing.
Wow, chopps is taking this a whole other direction. Good idea, I dont know if it should instantly flip points, but I do like it being tied into ppt and the game more in general other than just stats.

Yes because the people that are being vocal about the patch are banding together to ruin peoples forums experience for our own agenda. No way could this just be a place to post your solution to the problem without getting rid of the buff, as stated in the OP.

Valid point, but I still do not think it is going away. So how about they fix the Outmanned to offer little stats, and tone down the bloodlust stat bonus.
c) If you get the Buff remove it after 2 Minutes, like the Swiftness Buffs you can get in PvE.
Apply only to those who earned it and not entire server regardless of location.
Combine both of these in some fasion, the legnth of buff and you must participate to get it. One issue is that Devon stated that part of the buffs intention was to create a tie between all maps, to have the chance of affecting the fight on other maps.

My suggestion? Have ‘Bloodlust’ only apply to allied npc’ s like Guards and Lords. That way it will still have meaning without simply making all players of the most dominant server even more powerful.
Maybe either include siege damage with that or also add a buff to walls and doors.
Give a buff that grants 25% more siege damage against walls and doors or something along those lines, something to help a faction with nothing on the map get a jump on taking some stuff, not as important to the team which usually has everything..
Keep ppt on stomp, no stat buffs, spawn a daily chest with an assortment of ascended materials when you take 3 of 5 on a BL to keep people coming through the middle of the BL’s all day(but not staying all day, chest with timer) to get in the fight.
I really like the chest idea as an incentive. Devon said they were already planning on adding liquid wxp as drops, so they are creating an incentive to go there for fights.
Bloodlust may not go away, but it might be changed. What would you do to change the buff?
My ideas.
Keep a stat bonus and lower it to 10/20/30. Keep the PPT on finish and add a reduced finish time per stack of Bloodlust.
OR
Keep a stat buff, but make it customizable so you aquire something(maybe through gems) that lets you chose 3 stats for the 50/100/150 to go into( but only those 3. Everything else would stay like it already is.
The biggest problem I see with the buff is that it discourages other people from trying to take it so they do not become ppt when finished. So it is easier to ignore it and just play as usual, instead of fighting for something that may get you further behind.
Either one might make them money if they charge gems somehow for the second. I understand they are trying to change something, so I am not sure its just going to go away. Please keep your posts to how you would CHANGE the buff, NOT just remove it. Thank you

Why not simply make it on kill instead of forcing people to use finishers when the buff is active?

True but with less players trying to take the buff the home server should be able to hold it, especially if organized groups/guilds do not attempt to take it on other maps.
Well that is also true. The problem I see is that the smart guilds are going to entirely ignore this. If you are already outnumbered, well then why would you go and try and take the buff, making yourself free ppt in the process.
Alternate suggestion: Hold your own BL’s buff and refuse to take enemy BL’s buff
A bit harder to organize but at least I can enjoy my wvw.

Outnumbered buff does not provide stats, so why would the basically Overnumbered buff give stats?

Well soon the speculation can end. I am sure we will all be right and it will quickly be reflected by the current scores. Whoever holds the most population at the time will most likely control the bloodlust buff and their score will reflect this. It should not take long for it to be obvious to all parties involved, how this change is going to negatively affect the game.
