Very new MMOer here

Promise you, do not take warrior or guardian if you don’t enjoy very boring fights where you basically do the same thing over and over. I recommend a more difficult class like thief or engineer because, okay you’ll be less powerful and die more, but the fights offer way more and are more enjoyable imo. One thing I’d really like to say is don’t aim for level 80, aim to enjoy the game. Anet have created a brilliant WORLD, with jumping puzzles etc. and when you ignore classic MMO goals like end game, dungeons it becomes a lot of fun.

My first play through I played in runescape mode, I went and farmed stuff and it was boring. I started a thief and layed back, I did events, did heart quests, went to different starting zones and it was much more enjoyable.

Hey I’m using a 2012 macbook pro and it works awesome with GW2. Granted if you put it on max settings it’s a bit stutttery but I play with like medium/some high settings and it runs really smooth.

Sweet Sweet Loot?

It seems you love this game a lot and the things you want will probably never be provided. Maybe you should find a new game?

But uhh, I agree, the titles and achievements should definitely be more skill based methinks. Like not taking damage in a boss fight, how quick you did something, how LONG it took you to do something etc. Say you put in about 400 hours into a legendary, you would get a title saying hard worker or something because you spent 400 hours getting one thing, hard worker could apply to a set of armour from a dungeon or stuff like that. A title like that would show everyone you’re dependable and not just a casual gamer and would make things more competitive.

Which class is in dire need of revision?

First things first, I think they need to offer more skills for the same weapon. So for the utility skills you can mix and match you should be able to change the weapon skills a bit providing many more different builds and making classes such as engineer and necro more powerful because they could go all aoe skills or something.

Stealth and blindness

I would like to know about the two conditions. Because when I come out of stealth my first attack appears to be more powerful than normal, this is completely unexplained as to why. What does blindness ACTUALLY do? Thanks.

Don’t mean to rush you or complain but the game was released like, 4-5 months ago? There are still a bunch of things you promised, like guesting, guild halls, extra content etc. How long is it going to take to put these things in the game? Another 2 years? I hope not… :[

Camera problems

It was fine until I just logged in about 10 minutes ago. Basically when you hold down the right mouse button to look around your character the camera spasms around and doesn’t focus on where you need it to focus. It’s basically just messed up.

EDIT: That was when I was in a Borderlands WVW map. It’s fine on Eternal Battlegrounds.

Sorry about the double post but I just remembered, scrolling doesn’t work either.

We need Outward Scaling, not just Upward.

in Dynamic Events

Again, I completely agree with the Original Post, a certain difficulty is lacking especially in earlier dynamic events. It would be a lot more fun if there were more types of professions from the enemies too, not just ranger or melee. If they could mix in some enemies that used spells like a player warrior did like the invulnerable one it would REALLY spice things up. Then you’d always have to be on your toes if they cast a certain spell because you’d know when to flee/switch targets/change weapon/kite. Right now it feels a bit mashy, I’m playing as a warrior and I feel in the dynamic events everyone just pummels the fudge out of a boss with little consequence. There’s no real ‘no pain no gain’ in the game right now.

Rendering bug and lag

Well I know for certain there’s a rendering bug in the mac client as some objects don’t go high-res ever they just stay with a horrible texture. EDIT: Graphical lag has disappeared.

Just thought I’d mention but apart from that the port is looking spectacular, thanks ArenaNet I really appreciate you bringing a port to Mac.
