As for the picture of the JQ zerg. Yes, there are times we run high and have a full zerg. This is T1 afterall. You can throw out pictures all you want everyone knows this is not news. This thread was in the spirit of gaining more in our off hour time as I am sure the other servers are doing the same. Maybe then we can all stop accusing each other of pvdooring.

JQ has some pretty good small roaming guilds. The website has some good listings as stated above. You can also ask in the wvw maps. You’ll often see them roaming together and most are friendly if you ask questions about the guild. Though you’ll probably find more about them by just roaming with them.

I have some real issues with ppt. It doesn’t matter at all and makes it all feel pretty useless going out there to trudge through blobs and/or pvdoor. I wish there were some way to have a reward system similar to spvp. This way you actually get something out of it but nothing as unique as season rewards. Like an end of the week tally for kills/captures/escorts as a means of validating actual wvw play per account so participation matters, then depending on placement your experience bar for reward goes up. This way you still have to work for it. Everyone still gets the same things available, but your server placement assists in how fast you achieve your goal. It doesn’t penalize someone who can’t wvw every day nor does it mean your die hard wvwers are overrun continually by reward chasers en masse. It also has the added benefit of throwing out a carrot to get new people more interested in going there since a lot of servers are claiming to be drying up out there.

Something like that utilizes features that are already in use just on a bigger scale. You know…just an idea.

OMG make it happen! I want to be in a mesmer zerg with my OP focus skills (serious not for one sec. OP??? HA HA HA HA HA). Anyway, mesmer zerg! With zerg vs zerg, make the zerg look 3x the normal size. Add in the traits for shatter…..so when the aoe hits, mkittenter bombing! Someone do it. Do it now.

Should really stop trying to say who would win in a 1v1 between servers. Since this isn’t even remotely a possibility we will never know. It’s pure speculation. Even if it were possible we all know the arguments and QQing following would be “zerging doesn’t count because it takes no skill”, “X server has better coverage in that time, we would have won during X time zone”, “you got lucky” etc, always an excuse.

I’d happily let TC have the win if it meant BG were to eat crow from all their talk. I’d wrap first place up in a big pretty pink bow and give it to TC. Just the bitterness of defeat and tears of BG, along with a shiny weapon I’m getting anyways, will make it all worth it.

Also, last statement from the OP. If TC didn’t deserve to be in T1, they wouldn’t be there. They are there and they don’t have to prove anything. It’s not like they gave bags of kittens to Anet to get into T1 (If Anet takes kittens for bribes, I am sure I could manage a few bags if it meant better luck with precursor drops -wink wink nudge nudge-)

If you’re outmanned, no it’s not good. If there is a pin running a good train, then yes it’s fantastic for leveling. No more waiting for karma train Friday for trying level.

When I see guilds going after groups of pugs there I just laugh. Because it actually makes the guild look bad. It’s basically them having to go to eotm to kill groups of unorganized uplevel pugs to feel better about themselves (because let’s face it, that is what a larger percentage of eotm is). There is no challenge in it. If it’s a couple of people in a guild, that’s fine, but a larger group…. Yeah, it’s sad, and I feel bad for them. Take the bag if you need it that bad….because wow…..congrats you overkilled an uplevel you’re super pro now.

However, capping a guild from any map is odd and wouldn’t really work. It becomes a question of is it the guild you’re repping, or do you count for all guilds you are in. Then you have multiple overflows and trying to calculate all of that….yeah, not really a viable answer.

Too busy laughing actually. I’m amused that there really haven’t been many threads popping up with tears, if any. Unlike some other servers who spent the entire week crying about it thread after thread after thread.

I also like using it to get armor. Siege and armor. Great uses for badges of honor.

You’re cute. It’s well known BG only succeeds when they have the third server helping them. Notice the attacks on JQ only happen when the third server is also attacking. Convenient no? Because when SOR left the table, BG had no one to hide behind to help them keep the lead. Are we mad? No, we’ve come to expect BG + any third server coupling up together in sweet bromance. It’s no surprise and we just wait for those times during the day when we smell the double team with our morning coffee.

As for the original topic. Since server transfers are still abundant even on “full” servers. Either none of them are actually full or blackouts do indeed work. It means full being players online vs actually state of server capacity . In which case there would be no way to tell if said server is actually at capacity. You could try your luck randomly throughout the day clicking in to see if it is registering full or not. I wish you all the luck, no matter what server you choose.

And all arguing aside, the only difference between servers is size. Attitudes are all the same. Behavior all the same. You just have to know whether you prefer a larger server to a smaller one. Larger not being always better, but it can sometimes mean that events such as pve have a higher chance at success because there is a higher chance of a lot of people doing it. At the same time those events are such you can guest to do them if you really want to. It would only matter WvW, and during season it’s not the best time to really decide that, because WvW is a lot different when not in season.

1. Yes, all of the above. Horrible skill lag. Some skills take several hits before they respond. Sometimes even stomping takes several tries. For some reason people even die lagging. They have fallen in one place but for some reason it doesn’t register them being there. So no matter how many time you stomp on their bloody corpses they don’t die. Not sure how that one worked, but it did, and it annoyed the kitten out of me.
Sometimes rubber-banding to the point I can dodge and end up on the other side of the map.

3. Nope. We all usually lag about the same time. Often regardless of where you are on the map. Some might start lagging before, but in the end within minutes we are all lagging to death.

4. It’s entirely possible. However, I have not seen it. Lags are for everyone. We all get them.

5. Any time there is a battle in SM. Or when the blobs collide. We like to even accuse the other side of purposefully lagging us with their hacks and cheats since we only lag when they are around. I’d estimate numbers, but when you see an ocean of red TC and BG you don’t really have time to count, often not even enough time to run. Usually on the high end of numbers, often more than us. Good guess being 40 or more each.
I don’t fight in the Borderlands, so I don’t know how the skill lag in there. But I do hear it gets pretty bad.

Can’t say it’s a setting problem either. I run around with setting set so I can appreciate all the pretty in the world. My frame rates aren’t much different from the bf’s computer which runs best performance. We experience lag the same. It could be our connection, but unless the rest of our server is also on our connection, I doubt it’s the reason.

Find it interesting that I haven’t had any of these problems on eotm. Even when fighting the other blobs.

Which only proves her point. I’m not on her connection and lag has been the literal death of me many times. JQ lags so bad. Half the time we know where the other Zerg is by just how bad we ALL start lagging. I have to click any skill near five times, pray to the pagan gods, and sacrifice kittens to do anything. Meanwhile other servers are easily doing things. Not kosher at all.

This is not cool. I may not like BG, but if you’re going to kick them off the map do so fairly. Either pvd or blob v blob. Bags for all.

I’d even be okay for a rollback on score since this could be hurting their ppt (not that they aren’t fully capable of making up for that bit loss). It would be fair, even if I’m not looking forward to being sandwiched between TC and BG again.

My only problem with the hooded concept is that it would leave you bald just like hoods and hats now. Capes on their own would be nice though. Maybe variations, not just long ones. Some that are off one shoulder. Or half capes.

I was so excited at the possibility of a halo. Having gotten it….it is a little underwhelming. It’s also sad I can’t wear it on my mesmer, at least not without making it obvious which is me and which is not. At certain angles it looks fine, but for the most part the halo is so subtle it can be easily missed. Which for as much work went into getting all the heirlooms (which I’m sure it was a lot more work for those who can’t play every day) it just is sad. I wish it had the same glow power as the radiant skin. That would have been fantastic….
