The community sees fit to use it. The community pays for it. You CHOOSE not to be part of the community, because the rules set for it by the community don’t fit what YOU want. Plenty of people don’t use ts you aren’t required to use it. There are commanders that “require” it, yes. Priority in squad to those with ts. Because YOU didn’t buy their tag. So they can put any number of limits on THEIR squad. It goes for guild priority. Some commanders only allow their guild. That is their right to play that way. Sorry it doesn’t fit how you think they should be running. You can argue all day long about it, but it is NEVER going to change. Anet is not going to come walking into ts and admonish people for how ts is run. You’re wasting time and effort throwing hot air out there because the community doesn’t do what you as an individual wants them to.

Good at their language? We are directly talking about ONE word. A word. The R word. So yes a profanity filter can and will work. Talking about the subject directly means that more than that word is being said. As such, then you block them. Not “I’m going to block you”, just do it. Block. Done. They likely won’t know. Won’t care. You start a fight about it in map chat….that is the only time you’re going to run into the issue you described in #2. As such you report those individuals for harassment. End of story. Don’t engage. Trolls shrivel up and die when you ignore them because the entire point of trolling is to cause a reaction. Don’t give them a reaction they will get bored and move on to someone else.
As for reputation. LOL. Reputation. Please. Who cares what a bunch of strangers thinks of you? You have your guild. Your friends. Leave it at that. You can’t please everyone. Not everyone is going to like you. Settle for having friends that do. And real friends won’t be swayed by trolls spreading nonsense. Let people say what they are going to say.
Nasty people will always be nasty. The more energy you give them the more they feed on it. Just go, have fun. Filter the negative out and move on…..
Profanity filter. Fixed. Then you don’t have to worry. If it’s not good enough and more drastic measures are necessary, block.
If it’s teamspeak, then that is up to your moderators on whether or not they want to police that heavily. Expecting people to walk on eggshells based on the loose possibility of offending someone is a little much. Honestly I would have thought other R words would have been more offensive. Everyone has different sensitivities on a variety of subject matters. You can’t control the general public without it turning into some weird fascist state. As such, use the filter to save yourself the headache from the public, don’t join guilds whose personalities run directly opposed to your sensitivities.
Have less sympathy for people on this subject. I watched a guild get built up over time to being fully upgraded by a group of five people. Five. Not a super guild. Did it take work? Yes. Why should it be easy and cheap? It shouldn’t, as it provides a lot of benefits, as pointed out. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities for small guilds. It’s not easy. So what if you have to put in work and effort. It’s not impossible. Being something that you have to work towards does not make it pay to win….it’s called working towards your goal.
Not to mention I’ve seen plenty of large guilds accept people from smaller guilds as associate members in order to use guild buffs without requiring them to rep or be held to the same rules as full members. If you don’t want to have to do the work on your own.
I was wondering why the dye seemed off on my asuran ele. I did a side by side comparison and there is a dyeable area that does not show up at all. I’ve attached an image of it, the highlighted pink area is the same on both the asura and the human. It shows up on the human, but does not show up on the asura. In fact, there is no pink at all on asura. Either it wasn’t mean to be dyeable and that patch needs to be removed or the patch needs to show the dye placed in there.

A lot of people on all sides found themselves stuck in horrendous queues. I know the knee jerk reaction is to cry, but don’t. Everyone had a lot of people come back to see what this was going to be all about. No one knew EXACTLY what was going to happen and there was hype with rumors. Especially after the most recent patch which brought a lot of old players back.
I understand the frustration, but maybe wait and see how this goes before we start screaming it’s the end of the world. This was our first reset with this change. There is no guarantee old players who came back out of curiosity will stay. Population will cause match shuffles. Hang in there and see what it’s going to bring. Don’t give up! We’ll all find our niche places in this new setup! I look forward to running with new people!

To argue with the points about paying for access. It’s like paying for a birthday cake and paying for said cake. Then get the cake and find out they didn’t finish the icing on it. Hey, you still have cake, right? It’s okay! It’s still edible and still tastes good, but it’s not what you paid for. It’s unfinished. I’ll still eat my cake but I won’t be buying another one from this bakery. I’m not even going to buy the fresh cookies they sell every other month out of disgust. If they have so much time for all these other things they could have taken time to finish my cake.
People completely valid in their anger over it and are well within their rights to demand a refund because they didn’t get everything that they paid for. Everyone not mad, it’s great you still enjoy the cake. But we all now know buyer beware.

I think this had to do with the bug that replaced the Queen Bee with the Winters Presence. My Queen Bee went back to normal, however, my sylvari has never recovered. she now has a permanent mist falling over her. It has nothing to do with armor, as the screenshot shows I unequipped everything. It’s not traits as my human druid has the same traits and I retraited anyway as a test. It’s a cool bug (would have been much cooler on a necro though), but it seems stuck to her body not any item.
Yeah….how about you throw some of those pretty skirts out for asuras….I need more dress options. While we’re at it, my female asura wants her butterflies. Obviously butterflies are wasted on human females.
Here is the biggest problem I have with how they treat asuras. They are not gender neutral. They are male default. The fact that there is a difference between male and female in humans and asuras in armor default to male, means it is NOT GENDER NEUTRAL. Do a side by side comparison. You will be hard pressed to find any instance where asuran armor, outside of cultural, is ever neutral and not defaulting to male. This is just plain being lazy. Asuras are not gender neutral in fashion. They are masculine in fashion. Aside from the outfits mentioned before. The default is MALE. So stop calling it neutral. It’s not. Anet has not shown them as neutral no matter what they claim.
I’m also not buying the b.s claim about body shape and lack of boobs. Because it means they wouldn’t care one way or another if it covers that area or not. As indicated by their obvious okay with feathered vestments random bits across the chest. If they accept open chest they can accept skirts, tank tops, bikini tops, etc.
Of course I have no idea why they would have male/female swimsuits. That just baffles me and leaves me wondering if Anet even puts thought into asuras or just makes it up as they go along and whatever requires the least amount of work.
The problem with that is that it is the only thing in the bag that is account bound. While the extremely rare necklace is rare, it can be broken down and have the thing that makes it glow (the reason people want it in the first place) is able to be sold in the TP. The other mini in the bag isn’t account bound. NOTHING else is account bound. Except this one thing. It makes no sense at all. To have something this rare be account bound is a silly waste. Especially when something else is equally rare, if not more so, is not account bound. Where is the sense in it? There is none.
Did some research, there are 4 that are not gender neutral for outfits. Armor is the same across the board, which is fine for consistency.
The outfits that are “neutral” have made sense for being so up until the Raiment and Noble outfits. All the others in the unchanged category don’t leave much room for difference between male and female. Whereas those that are changed have room for difference. As Raiment and Noble have that room, but were obviously just ignored and left neutral for no reason.

Not sure if you’re trying to be funny…
I’d be worried if people stopped posting messages. It would mean people stopped caring about the game. When people stop caring about the game then that is when the game is truly dead. The fact people keep “QQing” means they still have some glimmer of hope that there is someone on the other side that cares as much about the game as they do and wants to fix things to keep the game from dying.
Not to mention, if it were a cultural thing, then it would be consistent. This is not the case. There is no consistency in the gem store’s treatment of asuras and char. Not to mention, if it were truly neutral for cultural, then it would be neutral, not masculine. The cultural armor smacks of neutrality. Even in some armors there is some diversity but not always. It’s like a hit or miss with asuras. Some are and some aren’t. I think it needs some consistency. This way there is no hope or expectation of anything else. If it were all one way or another then it would be an easy accept of it being how it is. The fact that it is not, leaves a lot of room for disappointment. Such as with the new noble coat.
Eeeeh, I’ve argued with people about duels. If there is no queue, there is no point in being a jerk to duelists. They aren’t hurting anyone. Proper duels have no stomps, so there is no stomp points gained on either side. I sit and watch them most times. They are thoroughly entertaining and refreshing to see a sense of honor amongst duelists. Of course….I’ve been told all duelists are spies. Which is silly. But still. The vitriol in mapchat when discussing duelists is insane.
I admit I get rather salty when people interrupt duels. I try to warn them to go away, there is no ganking going on there….and people persist. I in turn refuse to assist them when the other side ruins their parade. Nor will I pick up their corpse. If I recognize said kitten , I may even jump on their corpse before going back to watching the duels….but I’m supposedly a spy…and very obviously a jerk….

Yes, The witch dress is different from the males, the wintersday dress is different. So there are dresses. And yes they did do the same to Char. I wouldn’t mind so much if they did across the board gender nuetral. But it’s not. It’s all over the place without much reason. Even the flat chest isn’t a valid excuse, because it can still be worked with. They have other armors that have near complete open chest, to say they can’t use the same cut of armor makes no sense at all, as armors care not for what is and is not covered. Twilight arbor light armor has what looks like a boob window with no boobs :P

Yeah. I am perpetually disappointed with how they approach asurans when it comes to females. There are so many limited options for those wanting a more female appearance.
And just because there are few physical separations, doesn’t mean everyone wants to look like an asexual/male. I love playing my asuras. It’s just really hard to put together an outfit that isn’t so abysmally masculine.
I love the current noble dress. I’d spend the money in a heartbeat if it had the same appearance for females of other races. This actually just comes off as anet being lazy and not wanting to create the female version of it on asuras.
We are still recruiting. I know roaming can be scary in T1, but it’s okay. We only die sometimes….unless you’re me and then it’s every five minutes, but that’s because I’m bad. The others…are awesome to roam with.
