I’ve had this same issue and it was related to another program running in the back ground. I had an open web page with temple timer and whenever the page refreshed it would minimize my game. Just a thought.
The mega server is quite a change. On the plus side I can just follow the zerg from boss to boss and knock those out quickly. I’m even doing Karka on a regular basis. I wonder how this affects the 3 worm and tequatel, I know before this you had to have the well organized group of people. Now you have a zerg running through these events. I’m sure its more difficult now. The amount of players though is crazy. I can only imagine how this affects people with mid to low range systems they must be having a tough time, not everyone can afford a middle high to high end system to play these things now.

My 2 cents, pre event chains still running is annoying, felt more real I guess when that was tied to the spawn. Teq was only done by a few gulds not by everyone but it was being done, now it seems it wont be done with the times given. Going back to how it was seems viable I saw Karka and teq being done regularly. I agree with SB post, same boss nothing new just takes a tad longer you can still auto 1, kill portals then repeat.
Ifyou play by the rules set you are playing the game correctly. Why should you dictate how I spend my rl time? If I want to run in a circle for an hour and wear a certain gear how does that matter to how anyone else plays. If you want to spend time complaining how other people play the game, go for it, its your rl time. Anet has made it clear you will play how they want you to play. Anet made the game with the rules and people played by those rules, but not the way anet wanted you to play. So they changed it. Something else will come along and they will change that also. You will play the game the way anet wants you to play not how others should think how you should play.
I dont get why people had issues with the trains. If you dont like them dont do it if you like that sort of thing then do it. How does someone doing the champ train affect the game as a whole? The toxic atmoshpere I didnt see, if a champ got killed out of turn they just skipped it.
I thought auto loot meant that when it dropped you automatically picked it up with out having to do anything. I know this is not the case. I also remember in GW1 you were able to get everything at the end of a dungeon I believe, then once you made space in your bags you could collect it all.
When you see something cool in rl you say “Now thats a view!”
Yes I’ve done this…
This is good to hear. I was expecting the usual, I waved and got killed post. Wish more people were friendly in there.
As one of the previous posters mentioned Valve is making a strong push towards Linux so I think it would be hard to rule it out completely. You can already run games on linux with graphics card makers adding driver support for linux.
The crafting option you mention would be great. I always end up looking back and forth trying to craft the needed materials to make an item.
I always look forward to April first to see what anet has done. Nice Job!
Well for starters simply have teq turn his head to the right. Keep people on their toes. Oh and don’t tell anyone when they do make the change. People do like surprises right?

I think it would be funny if anet brought back LA just like it was like nothing happened.
Ok, so the pact airships werent deployed prior. Where are they now? I’ve been blasted from the sky from lasers since this mess started and I would assume by now some one would have called them in to LA!
My system is also crashing during these fights its happened twice during knights and I immediately log back in and get put in some random overflow. My system specs;
Asus Z87 deluxe
Core i7 4770k
2 GTX680 SLI
16 gb DDR3 1600 ram
Corsair 1000watt PSU
Creative X-FI sound card
OCZ 250gb SSD
Resolution is 6000×1200 NVSurround
All Settings Maxed and FPS during large events is 27-30
The gtx635m is a mobile part and has less power than a desktop gpu counter part. Most CPU’s in laptops are also throttled down PC parts to conserve power and less heat. Most laptops are not well tuned for gaming unless they are a “gaming laptop” like an alienware or others. Also Nvidia is now in the 700 series so it could be considered old. The GTX660 is a good card and does sound like some kind of throttling is going on.
Games are GPU intensive not CPU, a core i5 will run the game fine. The key is to have a decent GPU card. I run a core i7 3770k (overkill for gaming) with a Nvidia GTX680. My resolution is 5997×1200 and it does drop to 22-27 fps during these events. You need a good graphics card. Also all my in game settings are maxed. The game runs fine for me. I also agree with what SkabSavage said.

I am not running any citrix either. I am running a GTX680 with 3 monitors @ 5760×1200 in nvsurround and a 4th up top running various windows. Seems to happen more often when Im waiting for a dragon. Windowed mode is not an option in this setup.
