I finally got to fight the Shadow Behemoth tonight. Hopefully he will continue coming back.

The temples can be done with small groups. Four of us took Lyssa today, clearing the shields and the middle. It took a while, and my death damage tax was around 11 silver, but we did it with 4 players. What I hate is coming in at a way point with 2 or 3 mobs waiting. If I manage to kill half of them they re-spawn by the time I get through the other half. It’s a nice zone with pretty good drops, most of the mobs are easy to kill. It becomes frustrating when you fight through half a dozen only to get killed by another mob that pops up behind you, and then there is NO ONE around and all the kitten way points are contested.

I have 2 lvl 80’s, a warrior and a Guardian. I came into the game wanting to take a Ranger all the way. In GW1 I loved rangers. Then I discovered that warriors are better ranged characters than rangers. I rolled a Guardian because I was impressed with their abilities to do decent damage, do decent support roles, and survive against mobs. My ranger seems to be stuck on lvl 49.

I have been trying to map straits of devastation. I have died many times. It is sad when EVERY kitten waypoint is contested, there is NO ONE around, and you have to go to the other side of the bay and swim back. I was mobbed yesterday while chopping down a tree that (judging by the reaction of the mob) must have been a holy relic to someone . While I was fighting for my life another player ran up, chopped on the tree, and left. I died. And I had to swim across the kitten bay again because EVERY kitten WP was contested. Not that I’m bitter.

I got a bronze for an event I didn’t know was happening yesterday.

I conducted my own experiment, I spent 12 hours in the swamp area yesterday on Fort Aspenwood. No Shadow Behemoth. The escort mission for Sister Brenda never started, and the centaurs never attacked the monastery. No rotting oakheart. The whole event chain seems to be broken.
Fort Aspenwood
wait 24 hours and try again.
Fort Aspenwood
I have been waiting for him to spawn in fort aspenwood server. I don’t know when the last time he spawned. I have been in the swamp area for 5 hours today. The centaurs have not attacked the monastery, and sister Brenda hasn’t shipped her ale.

1000 gold has a 50 gold listing fee, and someone will buy it.

I don’t play a necro, and I don’t want to, but I would like to find this weapon. I am going to try for the shadow behemoth. He seems to be the rarest boss in the game. I have spent as much as 8 hours at a time trying to get him to spawn. He hasn’t spawned on some servers for days at a time. When he does spawn, there is a chance you can’t target him. I think that qualifies him for a rare boss event, and he has a large chest. If I do find the weapon, it will be on the TP, 1000 gold.

I like cornsilk dye, looks like a light gold on metal.
Fort Aspenwood
Cornsilk dye looks a lot like gold dye and is a lot cheaper.

People were getting drops and exp from Vet karkas? I did not know that. I thought that they didn’t reward exp and loot. I spent several hours in the event Sunday, and then did a little exploring after. I never once received exp or loot from a vet. That’s why I made the decision to not go back to that area.
Fort Aspenwood
I spent some time in lost shores during and after the event, the main thing I noticed is that veteran karka never drop anything, and never reward experience. I never once received a drop from the vets. and I never once received any experience from the kills. I started paying attention after I had helped fight the first 3 or 4. I noticed that no matter how involved I was in the fight, I never got anything. Lost Shores is pretty, but an absolute waste of time. Why would I want to go somewhere that is just gonna run up the price of the death tax/armor repair bill?
Fort Aspenwood
Did the Veteran Karka award experience and have drops? I spent hours Sunday afternoon fighting those stupid things. I never received any experience points or got a drop from any of the Veteran Karka. I started to ignore them because it wasn’t worth the effort. I ended up getting disconnected at the end, so the only thing I got out of the whole kitten weekend was a big armor repair bill and some crab meat.

I too played for a couple of hours and got DCed at the end. When I logged back in, it was over and everyone was posting the great drops they got. I don’t remember ever being so mad at a game. I love GW2, but when I spend a couple of hours fighting, and getting killed, rezzing people, and getting killed, rinse repeat, I would like something at the end. I’m not a whiner, I don’t demand that A-net put Dawn or Dusk in my bag, I would just like to think that I didn’t waste a couple of hours of a nice Sunday afternoon. I played the Friday lagfest, I missed the Saturday event because of work. The Sunday event wasn’t as bad for lag as the Friday. But to lose connection at the very end was infuriating. To make things worse, I had to pay the death-tax armor repair bill. The drops I did receive from the running around during the early part did not come close to paying the repair bill.

My jaguar is named “Jaguar Xke”.

I have to agree with this. I cannot believe that all this free new content was available. (I know, a lot of people spent a lot of money on keys, but that was by choice) I spent so many fun hours in the labyrinth, I played a weird style PVP game that I still don’t understand. I got to kill the mad king a bunch of times, and my warrior main went from level 68 to 78 killing candy corn monsters for hours at a time. I lacked the skills to complete the clock tower, but I still tried several dozen times. If this is going to be the standard for future events, the bar has been set really high. Anet has done an outstanding job and I thank every one involved.

I went through a door and now am stuck in a loop-loading screen. All in all, a great event. For a game only 2 months old to put together this whole week event with every new area and its all free, I say thank you.

Now whenever I try to remove the chest piece from this character, the game crashes to desktop. It has happened 5 times in the last 2 days, and only on my character with the dye bug.
Fort Aspenwood
I bought some mithril dye and royal purple dye and dyed my characters armor. Then there was the rollback. Now both dyes are gone, and I cant dye over them on the chest piece. I bought a new chest piece from the TP, and the new armor cannot be dyed. I don’t have those colors anymore because of the rollback, and I can’t dye over them. It may seem like a small thing, but my character looks silly with his mithril and purple chest piece, and everything else is a different color.

I got the transmutation stone to finally work by moving everything from the 3rd bag to the first. That seems kind of odd that it only works out of one the first bag.
Fort Aspenwood
I have been trying to transmute items for a couple of days. I cannot transmute my HOM stuff (which up until yesterday worked fine), I also can’t transmute regular items. I have the items in the bag, I click on the stone, I move both items (greatswords) into the window, the item transmutation stays grayed out. With my HOM stuff, the item transmutation window comes on saying it’s good, but it doesn’t transmute the item.
